I'm z less, not happy watched my baby be driven away by her new owner. The car needed finishing and it had dawned on me that it was never really going to happen if I kept it lol. I have a new motor tho, a dog of an mr2 turbo lol she feels as quick as the z through 2nd and 3rd, so much more grip, but lacks the power to pull hard at the top end. might get a bit more mpg tho lol

Hi all, apologies first if this is in the wrong section. Looking finally towards buying a Zed (something I've been putting off for a couple of years due to finances) and I've spotted what look like some good ones at a dealers in High Wycombe on Autotrader. There's a white TT LWB which looks like it's got a club sticker in the drivers side rear quarter window. http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/www/cars_popup.jsp?did=28997&pageid=3&originalid=&gid=nogroup&tid=46&start=5&distance=0&adcategory=cars&channel=DEALERPAGE&id=200905328084227 is the one in question. Anyone know any of this cars history, or the other 2 TT's for sale b…

I enjoy driving, cleaning and fixing my zed, i feel proud that ive got one, my pride and joy its nice to see folks looking at it rumbling away. I never have bother with anything worth while (maybe occasionally) such as Skylines, Supras, 350's or decent motors, and it always ends with a decent nod to each. Sure i will have a play with certain vehicles if i deem they are worthy, but when im not in the mood, why do people in crap cars such as Saxo's, Corsa's and Old M plate Cavalier's always want to have a go, i just let them get ahead far enough that they think theyve done me, then i change gear and hit the fun pedal, then for some reason all i can see is them in my rear …

When i first start my car it stinks of petrol. it lasts for a couple of minutes then dissapears. i don't think i've got a petrol leak as i haven't seen any little petrol puddles anywhere (not that i would as it evaporates fairly quickly) and it only seems to do it when i start the car up from cold. anyone got any ideas or had a similar problem to this?

Tech tip 2 The humble engine thermostat is often overlooked when performance issues arise and can have dramatic effect in particular the twin turbo and a lesser but just as important level on the non turbo zeds The thermostat is very commonly misunderstood in how it functions and this can in turn lead to ignoring the running issues that it can directly cause. The unit works from cold by restricting the flow of water around the engine block with the exception of a small by pass hole which prevents the water pump been overloaded. A simple but effective temperature sensitive action moves the valve either open or closed according to water temperature. The re…

Hello, was wondering if anyone had put an overboost button on their car, allowing for a few moments of extra boost. I'm not talking of NOS here, just a bit more pressure like the twin turbo John Cooper Works MINI (please.. don't take the piss... was just reading an article on pistonheads)

Well the other week the two heads arrived from the states along with a stupid bill for £250 import duty and the shipping was miscalculated so i ended up picking up the £120 excess on that too but all in all got the heads and roller rockers for £950 all in which is still a saving. Now the annoying part, the springs have been uprated to high lift crower ones, the head's been machined and they've been fitted already, only problem is the roller rockers he's sent aren't for the studs on the head. They're 3/8" instead of 7/16" (smaller diameter holes) Now if i were a skinflint i'd just change the bolts but as there's a good chance at high revs that these could bend a…
