I've been attacking the Z on two fronts this week. I have my three gauges fitted and all wired in as well as the sound system, while we were at it the front lights were all fixed as they weren't working. So all the drivers side dash and trim is now back together rather than looking like a plate of wire spaghetti! I also mocked up the run from the single turbo to the intercooler and intercooler to throttle bodies which includes two Bailey Venturi dump valves. Will have all the joiners and proper hoses next week so will post up some pictures once it's all done properly. Also picked up two small radiators to replace the large single one I can't fit in! Combined th…

Lesson learnt after replacing the clutch, had a few bits to sort out ie, a few bolts and adjusting. After in a rush to get the motor running, OVERTIGHTEND the starter motor bolts and sheared the threads.:slap: Went to start today, and one turn then just a whine noise. Checked and the starter was hanging off. So an hour later after retapping the thread to the box with an M12 tap and die and its sorted, Been out testing it, and its so much better.:nana2:

Im just weighing up my options at the moment as it may look like one of my turbos is on it's way out. The car is showing just over 92000 miles but i think only 5-10000 miles were done in the uk as its a jap import so probably about 70,000 kilometers on what looks to be the original turbos so it's kind of understandable i guess. I recently had the middle boxes removed from my exhaust and replaced with straight through stainless to mate up with the stainless rear boxes. I purposefully left the cats in due to all the horror stories about the turbo seals going, etc.. So, after doing the box removal, i now have a little white smoke coming from the passenger side exhaust. Luc…

What's the above worth out of interest? There's one around the corner from me quite a good example just need a good clean an polish. Seems a shame for such a good example to be so dirty. Needs a bit of love before it starts to turn to a rust heap. Looks like its running ok as it's on the roadside parked up so must have tax etc.

Could have been worse as it just skimmed the sump, the thread on the sump plug adapter is stuck in there which means the sump thread will be fine :) juts ordered a new sump adapter and sensor again grrrrrrrrr. Will post up pics soon. really close one... Im going to post up some pics of the damage and the massive lump in the road which has obviously taken out quite a few cars, you can see the grounding marks. The council will be hearing from me very soon.

But, i haven't noticed any kind of abnormal tyre wear of any kind, how neccesary are these parts? is it possible i dont need them?

I know this has been covered time after time but i wonder if some1 could shed some light on my particular case... Last year i changed my centre prop bearing and rear gearbox mount due to vibrations through the seat. This cleared the vibes and all was well. However, just recently the vibes have gradually been climbing there way back up the viboscale and now they are just as bad again. Due to the fact that the centre prop bearing cured it last time, would i be correct in assuming that the new centre bearing could have tightened up the propshaft but was imminently going to fail again with a latent prop failure, like worn u/j knuckles allowing the shaft to play, or …
