Last big mechanical part done! Cheers to Leon for making it up. Just waiting on trumpets to finish it off.

When I get home I park the zed in the garage and open the bonnet, this does two things it allows the heat to leave the engine bay quicker saving the plastic pipes and parts from getting brittle and secondly it heats the garage up for hours after I park it so working on your zed is even more plesurable.:D Even if you park your zed outside leave the bonnet open( if it is safe to do so) and save your parts from a roasting it gets very hot in there and I have a turbo timer to cool the turbos but I think its good to let the heat out.:cool:

Going to try and order the bits I need this week. When ordering the Wiseco Pistons what compression ratio should I go for? I tried researching on here and its either lower Comp and loads of loag or risk of det if I go higher. What have people gone for in the past please? Thanks, Ant

Can any one cast light on start car oil presh ok turn off start up again oil presh low changed oil and filter already.

how easy are they to remove? mine are tinted, was gona swap them onto other car, specialist job? or easy peasy. if potch i should stop being a tight arse and just get the new ones tinted :wack:

just a quickie ,had my discs ,calipers and pads replaced ,wheel alignment done, carpulls to the left upon braking and during normal driving. any ideas guys?

Was thinking about finnaly getting round to fitting my hks evc4 boost controler .I read somewhere its a good idea to have equal lengh pipes comeing from the acuators then T off to the solinoid controler is this the correct way thanks.;)

My odometer and trip are not working, evrthing else in the clock pod is working fine, it is a jap import and has got one of the derestrictor boxes fitted, any comments would be very welcome cheers andy

Followed behind ya in my zed all the way down to Eastville roundabout. Sounded nice too!

Well spent the whole of sunday and this evening putting the silver NA back together with the new plenum and intake pipes on. Finished putting all the pipework back on again, airfilter, etc went to turn over and it just kept turning with the occasional thrum then nothing. It just won't catch. I can't work out what it can be. So many bloody connections every where i don't really know where to start :( Any clues of what order to check everything? I'm pretty sure i've put all the coil pack and injector connectors back in the right order, they're all a certain length and the age of the wires meant they sat in a fixed position so can't see me getting that …

ive got a black Z, its a import. im getting a shell, its black. need to put bumper and wing, and boot onit. did they all come in 1 colour in japan? or a few types? mine has a gold flake kind of effect when clean?

Does anyone knows if its possible to test a heater matrix whilst out of the car? Any help would be appreciated.

looking for a set of adjustable tension rods, like the look of the powertrix ones frrom smithys place but they are closed the now, so is there anywhere else i could get them? aslo where would be best to get a manual conversion kit from? cheers

cant find a uk seller of 15mm hub-centric spacers anyone got some? iv baught spigots now and the tyres are on the way just need the specers

Hello, U went pass with a whilte bonnet on a black body. I was worried i was going to go the whole way from eastbourne to southampton and back without seeing another Zed...On such a sunny day that would of been a shame.

Hi all, i need some help/advice. I had a replacement section made for my exhaust (middle section just behind cats), to remove the middle boxes. Since i had this done on friday i have noticed white smoke from the car. It only does this when the car has been left for a while (overnight). When i start the car, it doesn't blow plumes of smoke out, just a little bit of condensation smoke. but as soon as i pull off theres a nice white cloud of smoke then nothing, it seems to clear itself after pulling off. I noticed today when i finished work that it only smokes from one side (passenger side). Its kinda looks like condensation smoke as it's not very thick, doesnt really smell, …

Anyone got an idea of what i could get for it, was thinking of around £6000, i do still love it, but i don't drive it these days and parking is an issue all the time.

Saw a yellow Z in a car park with a scobby at the other end of carpark end on my way to london this morning on the train. Was parked near a big grey warehouse.

As I can't do any of the engine work until I get some more parts and I am rest after being ill the car got a wash on the weekend and took some pictures. Coming together nicely, the only thing I am not totally sure on is the front bumper but can't afford another so unless anyone wants a swap for a different aftermarket one ;) It is only mocked up and not bolted on properley and needs a final flat and polish.

most are in the Ireland thread but thought i would post a couple here ! met some brilliant people there and even got a few coming over for japfest. Wish some of you guys could of made it we had a brilliant time :bow:
