Finally got hold of a price for my Z, £1100 they are having a fu***ng laugh, that is what they think my car is worth. I'd be lucky to get a rotten shed for that.:rant::headvswal

Hey all , im getting closer and closer to the time when i can take the Z to the garage and get the gearbox recon'ed for now! (priced at 550.00 ex vat) and get a fresh 12 month mot and out it needs for it !:dance: Anyway , im gonna have some funds in reserve by the time that's done and want to start thinking more seriously about alloys !! i did fully intend to get the cruize 135's from (dp motor sport) along with an apexi from dta , but after just phoning up dp , been told there no longer avail in the colour below only now in black and very limited on those 2 GUTTED !!!! :cry: Ive stared at and saved for these for months now !!. is it legal for a wheel to protrude from a wheel arch,just fitted new wheels 10" width wheels and they sit out by my estimation 5 cm looks odd i know but whats the law....may look at flaring arches...thanks in advance

I have just put an aftermarket air filter on my manual tt, when it comes on boost and i change gear it makes a chattering noise followed by the original dump valve noise. What is the chattering? It sounds like a rally car...

Hi all, this is my first post in UK forum and like to have some help. I have ordered the type 4 front bar from abflug for 300zx TT and the front indicators aren't included. The supplier couldn't help to source the indicators. Few member have this bar in their car. So I would like to know where I can get the clear indicators which will fit direct. Please have a look the attached pic. Thanks in advance.

Cars been off the road and not started for 5 months... Fired her up and tapity, tapity...But went away once properly warmed up. Changing the oil (n filter) to Silko' 10-50, made it worse but again dies away once warmed up...But then after a little blat around, and getting it properly warmed up and settling to idle the tapping comes back, so have defo have a something wrong with the value springs and / or lifters. So thinking about buying the replacment parts and doing the job myself with a little help from a mate. I know its pricey to get all the springs and lifters changed at a garage but is it a tough job to undertake to change these parts?

I'm trying to expand my knowledge on the 300ZX's and was curious as to the models offered outside of the U.S. I've been browsing online and a lot of the import sites I've viewed list the car as a 300ZX Twin-Turbo, but the car appears to be the 2+2 model, which is only possible by doing a conversion here in the U.S. The models of Z32's available to us were: 300ZX N/A 2 Seater T-Top 300ZX N/A 2 Seater Slick Top 300ZX N/A 2 Seater Convertible 300ZX N/A 2+2 T-Top 300ZX Twin-Turbo 2 Seater T-Top I'm curious to know if any other models were offered outside of the states, and what they were. Hi People, while i was doing my compression test i took a photo of the spark plug all of them was the same. What do you think of the condition of them? Also how do you get the outer a pillar trims off?? dont want to break them. Regards Andy

Hi all, Just got back in from doing my compression test, had a fully charged jump pack on the battery, removed all plugs, had throttle open and cranked around 5 times per clyinder or until neddle stopped. On the wet test i only put a teaspoon amount of oil in. DRY 155 | 146 140 | 136 140 | 140 FRONT WET 170 | 151 150 | 142 149 | 148 FRONT The vehicle has done 95k miles so looking at them results what you think? Regards Andy

have had the conzult cable for over a year now and last week changed my laptop. i forgot to make a note of the activation code as my old laptop died. i email the reg code and they told me it was already registered so cant send new activation code. im stuck now as i cant use it. anybody else have this problem.

Hi chaps, Ive had an intermittent fault with my drivers side window button not working so i took the unit off the car, cleaned all the contacts, etc up, put it back in the car and now the button controlling the passenger window doesnt work either!! I didnt even fix the first problem then this happens! Even the button in the passenger door doesnt work the window now :mad: Ive checked the fuse but its fine as its the same fuse that powers the seats. I thought it could be a faulty drivers door window switch unit as a whole but would this cause the passenger door to stop working too? its very strange. I await any kind of help with this one as i want to sell the car …

Ok just fitted my new bov's (turbo xs replicas) and they dont sound any louder than the old filthy xs power ones i had? although the car does feel more responsive? They are fitted behind the bumper in front of the rad, will they be louder and more clear if fitted in the engine bay?

cam belt slipped a tooth so stripped down as if doing a belt change and done all the usual alinement and repositioned the belt. put everything back together and now cant get the bloody thing started. strong fuel smell when turning over but wont fire. checked connections and all seems fine. please help.

After changing the clutch, the complete kit, went direct to excedy, for the plate, cover and bearing, replaced the gearbox mount and sorted the bushes in the gearstick, new oil and lubed everthing up, found the prop washers were wrong way round. Drives superb, and very very smooth. Hit the fun pedal and all hell broke loose. I had discoverd i had boost jets and was running in safety mode a few months back, these were sorted but due to the clutch i couldnt get the power down.. I have since done a throttle body clean and fully sorted the electrics Christ, it was quick before, now its an complete madman. Come on Surrey and Bournemouth rolling road days.......…

I finally got round to fitting my 12" Alpine sub and custom fitted contoured enclosure. Now, I have never fitted a sub to any of my cars as I've never really been that fussed by ICE. But since I'd fitted an "all singing, all dancing" 2din Alpine touch screen, new wiring and speakers, I thought it deserved it. Boy, was it worth the wait! All the stuff has just been sat in the spare room for months, I've only just pulled my finger out and fitted it all. The difference in overall definition is just amazing! It will never win any sound offs, but the whole system has a quality feel to it. Really happy with the result! Will get some pics up of it soon as it…

1. What are the best brake pads to buy for the 300zx TT? - I know EBC do quite good brake pads, what are the forums thoughts on this? 2. What is so good about the skyline brake conversion I see many people talking about in contrast to the Z's stock brakes.. I would of thought since the Z is a bigger heavier and faster car than the skyline that the brakes would be better than the skylines.. or at least that's what would make sense.. 3. Why do some Z's not have a Spoiler and have a sort of flushed in black panel with a brake light in the centre where the decals normally go?.. is this an american thing? Thanks guys! :D
