I am after a new exhaust system for my ZX LWB TT, I was wondering what the best options are, I am contemplating on getting a custom one made or just going for one of the Branded ones i.e. HKS. I know it's all down to personal preference, but does anyone have any info on which exhaust is proven to be the best overall?... Do X style make better gains than the H style? or is that just for looks?.. Is a single exit better than a twin? Finally, all the kits I look at never include a manifold, why is this?. Cheers!

http://evalbum.com/2332 Should be cheap to run, but I think expensive to build. Since I watched the program on the killing of the EV1, I have been searching to find if a conversion has ever been done to a Zed. The thought may be sacreligious to some, but think about a cheap to run, nice looking motor that would have practically zero road tax (over here normal tax for the 3.0 is horrendous - around €1300). Just wondering if the thought appeals to many or any from the club. When I get funds (after I get a job again and after I clear my accumulated debts - probably 5 years time !), I would love to have a go at a conversion.

Ok, Phil has looked at the car and found that the oil leak is actually coming from the oil return from oil of the turbos. There was no oil in the clutch at all and has just burnt away because it is crap, gone all the way to the rivets too which means it has also damaged the flywheel so looks like a faults part or whatever. This is the clutch I have got, http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=1837 Says it is good for 550 ft lbs of torque!!!! What do you all think of this??? Bare in mind its only been in the car for around 2 months or less?

May seem like a stupid question, but I want to be sure and understand fully. I have the engine fully striped ready to go off and have the work done by a engineering company. Just want to know if some of the things listed is a must to be done. I apologise if they seem like stupid questions, but I'm trying to learn as much as possible and to do most of the work myself. Skimmed block? Clear castings flasings from block (that's a must) Block bored/ honed (that's a must) Crank balanced? Knife edged crank? Skim heads (guess that's a must) Anything I've missed for the engine shop to do? Does anyone know of any decent engineers near to me in the…

YAY! Only just though, realized last night I had been driving the car about since the 4th April with no mot :O I read it wrong and thought it was the 14th lol. Pass apart from a large imbalance in the brakes which is only just within limit. Good job i've got all the bits ordered for the brake upgrade.

Well as I few of u may have seen my clutch has gone. Once we have been under the car it appears it has a nasty oil leak. By the looks and sounds of things the oil has ran in to the clutch causing it to slip and burn out. I can't believe it. Still haven't ran the engine in fully yet and iv been taking it easy. I'm gutted. Going to call phil in the morning to see if he will fix it. Only had it back 2 months :(
