hi people, got my zed back today from "jimmer" on here. he totally rebuilt my engine with all the little jobs that your standard mechanic would and could not do!!! total strip down, rebore, skim, valve seat and polish, any bad stuff replaced with good stuff, forged internals..... the list is endless!!!! (got myself some Z1 525 tubs, and boy, do they kick ur ass into the chair!!) all backed with a complete break down in photographs. Would I be better off getting my TT manual box recondition? (can some one give me a price to do it myself or get someone else to do it). Or would I be better off using the NA manual gearbox? (how much power will it be able to take)

After todays boost leak test i found a couple of sneaky sniper type leaks on some vacuum hoses... sorted them but i can still hear a very feint hiss coming from the drivers side recirc area. I have felt all round the pipework and wiggled it (just a little bit - ooh ah) but the frequency of the leak didnt change so before i go ripping it all apart i thought id call upon your experiences... assuming i havent got a snake or a pissed off cat lodged in there somewhere, is there anyway air can leak to atmosphere from the recircs assuming all the hoses are good? of course it could be the intercooler but i could only hear it by wedging my head in the nose panel area and…

Can anyone help please,i've got a 90/91 na auto and i'm having trouble getting the right code for the paint,the code on the vin plate is ag2,but the paint suppliers i've been to have mixed ag2 nissan red but they're miles too light and orangie compared to mine its more of a deeper red,any advice would be great,thank's Carl.

Hey guys... Just a quick question... now the Z was lowered when i bought her so im not sure how much its been lowered by. But im looking at a new set of wheels soon, but all the ones i like are 19's. ATM i have 235/40 18 tyres on the front... if i was to go for like 235/35 19 do you think il get away with em not rubbing judging by my free space in this pic? Cheers for any help Rich

Finally got hold of a price for my Z, £1100 they are having a fu***ng laugh, that is what they think my car is worth. I'd be lucky to get a rotten shed for that.:rant::headvswal

Hey all , im getting closer and closer to the time when i can take the Z to the garage and get the gearbox recon'ed for now! is it legal for a wheel to protrude from a wheel arch,just fitted new wheels 10" width wheels and they sit out by my estimation 5 cm looks odd i know but whats the law....may look at flaring arches...thanks in advance

I have just put an aftermarket air filter on my manual tt, when it comes on boost and i change gear it makes a chattering noise followed by the original dump valve noise. What is the chattering? It sounds like a rally car...

Hi all, this is my first post in UK forum and like to have some help. I have ordered the type 4 front bar from abflug for 300zx TT and the front indicators aren't included. The supplier couldn't help to source the indicators. Few member have this bar in their car. So I would like to know where I can get the clear indicators which will fit direct. Please have a look the attached pic. Thanks in advance.

Cars been off the road and not started for 5 months... Fired her up and tapity, tapity...But went away once properly warmed up. Changing the oil (n filter) to Silko' 10-50, made it worse but again dies away once warmed up...But then after a little blat around, and getting it properly warmed up and settling to idle the tapping comes back, so have defo have a something wrong with the value springs and / or lifters. So thinking about buying the replacment parts and doing the job myself with a little help from a mate. I know its pricey to get all the springs and lifters changed at a garage but is it a tough job to undertake to change these parts?

I'm trying to expand my knowledge on the 300ZX's and was curious as to the models offered outside of the U.S. I've been browsing online and a lot of the import sites I've viewed list the car as a 300ZX Twin-Turbo, but the car appears to be the 2+2 model, which is only possible by doing a conversion here in the U.S. The models of Z32's available to us were: 300ZX N/A 2 Seater T-Top 300ZX N/A 2 Seater Slick Top 300ZX N/A 2 Seater Convertible 300ZX N/A 2+2 T-Top 300ZX Twin-Turbo 2 Seater T-Top I'm curious to know if any other models were offered outside of the states, and what they were. Hi People, while i was doing my compression test i took a photo of the spark plug all of them was the same. What do you think of the condition of them? Also how do you get the outer a pillar trims off?? dont want to break them. Regards Andy

Hi all, Just got back in from doing my compression test, had a fully charged jump pack on the battery, removed all plugs, had throttle open and cranked around 5 times per clyinder or until neddle stopped. On the wet test i only put a teaspoon amount of oil in. DRY 155 | 146 140 | 136 140 | 140 FRONT WET 170 | 151 150 | 142 149 | 148 FRONT The vehicle has done 95k miles so looking at them results what you think? Regards Andy

have had the conzult cable for over a year now and last week changed my laptop. i forgot to make a note of the activation code as my old laptop died. i email the reg code and they told me it was already registered so cant send new activation code. im stuck now as i cant use it. anybody else have this problem.
