The car went for the last part of the exhaust to be done so should be ready next week for a conzult session the MOT:dance: But... I think am going to have to change the springs, the front scrapes and the side skirts grounded coming off my drive, had to use wood to get it off! The springs dropped it 50mm although there is still a massive gap between the top of the wheel and the arch even with 18's, any suggestions apart from a new driveway

I was told today that my car is problaly running 200bhp because its 1993 and cars loose power over the years but a remap would problaly bring me back up to 240bhp to be honest I have heard so many dof stories that im confused, can anyone give me an idea about this and also how could i have my 280bhp back? thanks in advance guys :)

hi to all, i am just getting my replacement autobox ready for refitting and was going to try the refit putting the torque converter in the gearbox so i know they are correctly alligned - is this the easiest method or is it easier to bolt the converter to the fly wheel and then offer the box up - its just when i put the new (to me) converter on the autobox it does not seem to go on far enough - i compared with the old box and converter and the converter slides crisply back with a clunk - the replacement sits about 5mm or so less than the dead box - is there a way to tell its in far enough as i would hate to damage anything on fitting - any help and guidance greatly re…

Hi guys ive just decided to keep my car and not sell it. So now im wanting to put a nice sound system in and do my interior,so im just asking for any cheap way of doing this, and also about speaker space as i do like a bit of bass in the car,ive got to admit theres not alot of room in the back to put a bass box in when the roof comes off. If anyone has got some pics of the sound system set up,would like to see if thay do not mind, plus would love to see the interior of your cars if that was ok too.:D:D

I've got a dead J-SPEC 1993 LWB TT manual sitting on my drive. Actually it's been sitting there since December 06 just after I bought the house and, although I've always intended to get it fixed eventually, I've just never had the cash. I've just resubscribed, and I'm waiting for that to go through before I stick it on eBay and advertise it on here, but in the meantime I'd appreciate some opinions on the best thing to do. The car sas a problem with misfiring on cylinder 5 (I think)--think it's a valve, needs head strip down according to the garage I took it to anyway. At the same time it needs a new clutch (which I have), a new prop-shaft (which I also have), an…

Hello, just wondering if anyone could help. I got a problem with the bottom of my door coming loose which is making it hard to pull shut when getting in. The car has had lambo door hinges on it for a while and whilst i have enderverd to maintain these the doors are not suited for them in the long term, which is where i think this problem has arisen from. I have had a look to see if i can spot a simple method of tightening it back to the door but cant seem to locate where/how this can be done, as the bits i can see seem to already be tight. I would be grateful if anyone has any ideas, as if / when i have to change the doors back to normal hinges i w…

Having recently purchased a 99 spec front its time for the removal of the stoneguard look on the rear, just wondered if its actual stoneguard or were the bumper moulds designed like that? Also what grades of paper are needed to take it back smooth? Cheers Paul

Posted a while ago and the problem is still not sorted. Here are the basics. First start of the day the car struggles to start. It cranks and will start but really rough and then stall after a couple of secs if not immediately. After a couple more attempts it is absolutely fine and remains fine for the rest of the day. It appears that this only happens when the car is stood for 12 hours plus. When I try and crank it first thing in the morning, the Speedo needle spikes and jumps around. Anyone any ideas??

Sorry guys, wanted to post up a bit more about what's been going on. Just had a run of bad luck really :( Firstly the belt broke on the compressor and i've been chasing around to find a replacement but unfortunately to no avail so going to have to buy a new compressor which has held me back a bit so i could clean the block ready to pop it in the car. Also managed to scratch two of the main journal bearings so have to replace the whole set at a cost of £80. So all in all £200 out of nowhere. In the meantime i've been busy restoring the paintowrk on the front wing and door and tonight fitted the new 99 spec lights which look much MUCH better :)

Not long back my car was running like a sick pig and missing all over the place!!! On top of that my exhaust was literally falling apart :( As you can appreciate coming into the summer months i was none to happy about all this  I PM'd Jeff @ Zedworld and asked his expert opinion on what i could do to try and fix my problem - to find out what to check first etc..... Instead of just a few words or wisdom, he said he had built up a pack that he sends out to people with similar problems to try and correct it themselves!! :D I asked him if he could get it to me straight away and the next day (a Saturday) it came bright and early! My next problem was …
