General Discussions - 300ZX Related

Ok guys and gals, a strange one this........ After a stretch of motorway driving today (not unduly fast I might add), I was sat in a queue at traffic lights in Edinburgh. The windows were open and I got a waft of what smelt very like freshly laid tar. This isn't the first time that this has happened and on both occasions there were no roadworks nearby. :confused: Clutching at straws but .....are the cats sooo hot that they're causing a reaction in the road surface whilst the Zed is stationary? Hi all this is my 300z so far, yes it is still in the body shop getting finished. not bad considering i have only had the car 4 months. This is the car looked like when i got it the 4.5inch back box was rusted to bits so i have got the twins back and having a full custom made system with power cats the body kit these ones did not fit or look good so.... I got these insted

Hers one for you Si as I cant find it via search. A few months ago there was a thread going about Unos paintwork on his car. The one with a black roofbonnet etc like Jimmy's and it had been photoshopped to carry the line on the top of the wings as well. Anyone have that pic or a link to the thread? Mike

Seems they are getting common and no one will probably reply to this post, but there was a black Z with high spoiler following a 350z out of morrisons, and a white Z on the lincoln bypass. Anyone on here? Just passing through?

:mad:Bit of a problem hope somone can help here goes, last week end I changed the oil,oil filter and spark plugs my zed is a tt jdm so I got a set of PFR6B-11C plugs the plugs I took out were PFR6B-11 which I thought were for a NA zed anyway after fitting the new plugs the zed started to hesitate if you accelerated hard took all the plugs out checked them over and put them in again but still no better so today I put the old plugs back in and the zed drives perfect. Can someone tell me if I got the wrong plugs or are they the right plugs but could be faulty all advice welcome

hello my hics and anti lock light have came on . on the dash board and it looks like the powersteering has stopped because it is really stiff. i there a fuse for this anywhere please. all electric windows stopped also where is the fuse for this. ive had a look in footwell but all these seem fine. please can anyone help thanks gary

Have a few bird shit stains from a severe albatross attack yesterday. Washed it pretty much straight away but you can see where they peppered it-any tips for getting rid? Also anyone recommend a particular wax/cleaning methods? I'm using the old two bucket rule at the mo' with Turtle wax shampoo and then a monthly wax with something I've forgotten the name of but it clearly isn't giving it much protection. I'm going to have stop feeding the cat I think.

Spur of the moment, took my car for its MOT today. Knew it was due soon. Flew straight through, no advisory.....perfect emissions as well. Its always a worry at MOT time, but nice to hear of them going straight through, so just thought I'd share the good news! And as always the car generated a lot of conversion:)

There is an annoying squeek coming from the drivers front wheel, I think it may be the bonnet. Does anyone know what it could be and how to resolve it?
