i've only owned the zed since january and i moved it on last friday evening. it went to a guy that'd had one before, said he was called "black pearl?" on here. i hope he enjoys it as much as i did. i just wanted to say a big thank you to all you guys and gals for, well, just been a top set of people:bow: i thought the car was amazing, and have never driven anything like it (and i've driven a few cars!). i'm sure it won't be the last zed i own, as i'm missing it already:headvswal. cheers, chris.

Hi, Took my front bumper off to sort a few things out today and I have surface rust on a few bits. I'm thinking of using some sort of underseal but do they completely dry or remain tacky? Can anyone recommend anything to use? Cheers Vijay

Hey folks, I have been losing water for ages now but it's starting to get worse. I can do a 10 mile run and require to fill up the rad between 1 and 2 litres. When I pop the bonnet I can hear a hissing coming from the back of the engine. I'm guessing 1 or all the pipes need replacing. Is this an engine out job or can it be done in situe? The MOT is due in a month so I am trying to work out whether to scrap or repair. Any idea on what sort of price I would be looking at paying and is it something that any garage can do or is it a specialist job? Cheers as always, Dave

Took the zed down to phils today and he worked his magic on the brakes. Swapping my GTR Brembo's for BAZZ's AP Racing setup & replacing the brake fluid. Also fitted 15mm spacers with longer studs which have brought the front wheels out closer to the arch rim. BIG THANKS TO PHIL! :duffer: What ya think guys? Before: After:

Im about to buy a set of tein coilovers for £250 second hand from a member on here, one shock is weaping and would like to get them refurbished, I have been on the phone to Tein and they recomend me to not purchase them as it would be too expensive to refurbish them and it would be cheaper to buy brand new, is their anyone who specialises in refurbishing coilovers? Thanks

ive had my zed for around 2 weeks now but it hasn't had much use yet as i want to get it right before i use it too much i decided to take off all the front hoses, turbo hoses and examine all the vac lines etc. i will also replace all the connectors as they are falling apart. i hope this will make things a little smoother. how ever two very alarming discoveries tonight. the wastegate actuator feed on the ns had totaly detached its self. i have only given it full boost once or twice and i dont think any damage has been done as the turbos dont smove and the plugs are intact- phew lucy escape i thonk it ran up to about 7mmhg. far more alarmingly i took …

Ok recircs what are they and what do they do? do bovs ( dump valves ) do a better job? and what goes wrong when recircs go bad? The basic premise of the recirc or bov is to release built up pressure when the throttle butterflies slam shut because if you do not do that, the returning pressure wave can damage the turbo`s. Recircs ( see pic below ) operate by been piped either side of the turbo or in simple terms form a regulated short cut from the turbo output back to the turbo input. Here I have removed the lid of the recirc to reveal the diaphragm that rises and falls by the vacuum generated within the intake( plenum ) the diaphragm then acts upon the …

ok, where do i start. a mate called who is into all things Nissan so took him for a spin in my Z to give him an idea of the power. made it 100 yards. Engine died. Thats ok i fiddled with a few connection and she fired up again after a few mins so got it home. Connected my conzult and it read code 11. so at least i knew what it was. connection was all broken and corroded so i changed it as well as the water temp sensor as that came up on the conzult too. Now took off the air intake pipes to access the connection and put the right side one on wrong ( didnt cover the throttle body correct) so when i started it blue smoke filled the garage. oh crap. fixed the pipe and it seem…

Since the SC rr got cancelled, kinda put the feelers out for an RR in the corners of the Cornwall, Devon/Somerset and South Central areas. There were people in the SC region that would still want to do this. Also, some Welsh members have shown some interest. Just wondering who would be up for something like this? Would involve a big meet, an RR session, pub etc. Somewhere around the Taunton/Exeter area? I've put a few threads up in the 3 regions originally discussed. But wondering who would want to do something like this? Will leave this to the REOs to organise, but happy to help/generate interest? End of July or something? Bit short notice I guess. …

Right i have a strange one :( I have had my baby stood for a while, while i have been refurbing the wheels etc. Last time i came to start the car she fired up like aways and running sweet. Then after 15min she just cut out. no blubing or anything just off like you pulled the key out. But the engine was really hot so i thought this might be the problem. Left it for an hour and went back to it. She fired up fine so i thought it was just a blip due to it not being run for a while. About 3 weeks later i came to start her up again (today). bang on perfect untill about 15min again  Now she was perfect untill she was parked up. never missed a beat…
