Hey guys Is anyone one here good with car electrics - specifically immobilisers and alarms? I've got all the hardware in place already but as it turns out they were wired up in a bit of a bodge manner so on getting my rebuild and a new loom they were left unconnected (i.e. wires cut out with enough length to rewire properly). Is there anyone that might be able to help me get these wired back in properly? I'm a bit nervous as having spent all that cash on the engine the car is now sitting there with just the central locking protecting it!! Would appreciate any help!! Obviously I'm looking to get this done sooner rather than later.... Thanks all Vig

As the car is a japanease import and very old there are hardly any wires so i can connect my stereo up, is there a connecter i can buy that connects to the existing zed connections and then goes to my stereo, and can i get it from a halfords shop or somewhere like that??

I have got some 5 stud wheels i want to put on my zed, i know they will fit size wise but.............the hubs on my zed are different to the ones on my last car ie: the bolts dont screw to the hub there are giant nuts which screw to the hub and hold the wheels on, im sure you all know what i mean.....................question is, is there a way of fitting my wheels, hopefully that doesnt cost a bomb!

hi peeps, small question. i know when pcv valves are knackerd it can cause oil leaks from hoses and dipstick pop out ect but when the pcv valves jam closed, is it possible for the dipstick to pop out followed by engine oil pi*sing out of the dipstick hole? thanks davie

Well, as my sig currently says, I can't seem to make my mind up :D I've booked Eliza in for an MOT this coming Friday at our local MOT only station. I wonder how I'll end up going to work later that morning, 'Happy', 'Moderately Happy' or just 'Downright Depressed!' ;) I really don't want to let her go, but this really is the last chance :cry: Anyway, chin-up :D as I know she'll fail, it just depends how badly ;)

As above!! My Z failed its MOT last month on having excessively coroded rear brake pipes. However I dropped it off to Jeff last week and he has now fixed it - I collected the car yesterday:hyper: Jeff also replaced the leaking master cylinder, fixed the intermittant driver's window fault and ran a Conzult test tweaking any bits as necessary. Plus he had the car MOTd for me too. Thanks Jeff - you're a star!!! And thanks to Linda as well for the "shuttle service" to/from the station:bow: I had a very good run home too :p Richard:cool:

Hi Guy`s, There was a zed for sale on E-bay this week, and the listing said that this car was being shown on channel 5`s FIFTH Gear in July sometime ??? Does anyone know if this is true?? If it is true i hope they say nice things about the zed`s :)

Video of the engine running now, first minute is just it running. Then about about 11 seconds from the end there is a metallic noise from the crank pullet area then about 6 seconds from the area the download goes funny :rant: but you can hear for a few seconds. Anyone have any ideas as what it is? Car sounds great apart from that

Only after switching on my car and theres a small ratle coming from the very top of the engine i think it comes from the area of the valves. anyone can help trying to diagnose this and need to know if its drivable as im 50miles away from home. thanks in advance.

Hi all, I was checking the oil and water on the Zed last night and noticed this small unconnected hose. It's at the back of the engine to the outside of the autobox dipstick and looks like a vacuum hose (see pic).......any ideas where it should attach to? Thanks in advance - Andy

hi ive got a 1995 twin turbo,does anyone no where the idle adjuster screw is or is it done electronicallyl.. and also does anyone no why the engine dies when i pull up to a junction,this only happens when its cold?

had my car dyno'ed today and found out that at the top of the rev range the car is running very rich and the power drops off as a result of this. deffinately need to get car remapped as the ecu also seems to not allow me to put the boost anywhere above 0.9bar. so what fwhp do you guys think i produced with these problems? (i have boost controller chipped ecu aftermarket exhaust and filter)

ok i still cant seem to get rid of this bloody rattle and it is really starting to do my head in. ok when ticking over cars sounds fine i can rev up the engine and still sounds fine. Now when i take it out for a run all is ok until i push a little harder. as soon as get some boost i get this annoying rattle (metalic). the more boost the louder the rattle. i have checked heat shield around turbos and they seem fine. it seems to be coming from front passenger side. is there anything that i may have missed. iv also checked brake disk plate and also seems fine. :headvswal:headvswal:headvswal:mad::mad:

Non turbo accident repair. Ok little story for you here, roll the clock back 3 years and unfortunately this non turbo suffered a heavy front and side impact into a small river!! however it was subsequently repaired by the insurance at their approved bodyshop. Following this the car ran very uneven, with very low performance and heavy fuel use, starting and other issues forced a disappointed owner into garaging the car for 3 years. After contacting a Nissan dealer who gave him our contact number it came to our workshop on a trailer. The twin turbo front bumper although not normally an issue tells the beginning of this sad story, the back of the bumper…

Picked my car up from zedworld today at about 9:30, had running problems and MOT time. Another 12months driving and thanks to team at zedworld again for making her run a hell of a lot better. Also just wandering who i seen there today and whos car was in the garage. Regards Andy

Doesnt seem to be much of an interest in this show is it legendarily bad? I've never been before but its only 100 miles away and while the zed is running and looking goodish, be good to see some more zedders :hyper:
