Hi all, some of you know of me already, Adam-Murse and Coldel to mention a couple, but I'm a skyline gtst owner considering trying a z32 300zx. I've had my skyline for nearly 5 years now, bought as I used to have an mr2 turbo but needed rear seats when we started having kids. The skyline was intended to give me something fun that I could still enjoy, but I've never had the budget to make it particularly quick. I've been considering a change for a while now, and the car had been absolutely faultless throughout, until the head gasket popped last weekend. Not bad for a 22 year old car with 107,000 miles on it I guess, but now I can't decide whether to fix it or use it a…

Hello, My name is Rob (43) from Dorset and I have just bought a 300 ZX Z31 (NA) Auto.It has 100k on the clock but you wouldn't think so looking at her. Even though she's an 87, the bodywork and interior is excellent. This is (in a way) my first car ! Let me explain... I am in a wheelchair and until now have had 9 cars under the motability 3 year lease scheme. So this is the first time I have had a "real" car, one that I am passionate about, instead of one that "fits." I'm not complaining. The Motability scheme is a fantastic thing and I have had many years if happy and importantly care-free motoring. I have always been a petrol-head and motorspo…

Hi guys. Recently bought myself a low miles 1992 300zx tt manual in silver as I always wanted one years ago but always bought something else instead. Its not too modified, just little bits added, mainly sorting out some minor faults just now whoever worked on it before was no mechanic that's for sure! I also have the 350z as my daily which is great fun. Looks like a great active forum and looking forward to getting involved. Rich

Peterborough based, Ben is the name! Non ZX owner though.. Always been a bit different when it comes to cars, I'm 22 and have had 6 cars to date, an XR2i, a mk3 Fiesta S with a 2.0 Zetec lump, a mk4 Fiesta lowered on Capri 4 spokes (surprisingly worked!), a mk4 Escort Popular with 28,000 miles that I used to smoke around in at college, I then bought a 1700 Puma which took the track treatment, and I now roll around in a Volvo 850 T5 running around 270bhp sat on a set of S80 wheels.. Without spending a wedge on internals, I can't really go a lot further with the Volvo, plus I've had a real hankering for some 90's turbocharged Jap goodness for a while! So, …

Just bought myself my first 300zx z32 1990 NA and my god I'm in love! It may be an automatic but it shifts faster than any other car I've had with similar bhp, I've had an s type 3 litre 256bhp and it doesn't move half as quick as this. I bought it for £1000 which I think is a good deal considering the only thing wrong with it is a tiny dent in the rear quarter. I've been told the things to look out for are the injectors but they are brand new on it, also with a new fuel pump and exhaust system. (Sounds pretty brutal) I shall add pics soon and if you want to give your advice on some decent mods I'll be more than happy to listen :). Cheers Mike

Good evening guys and girls, I've been a Bmw man most of my life and currently have a 530d touring and a 1983 635csi I'm restoring but I've always fancied owning a 300zx too. Mainly due to its lines rather than any performance it may or not have. Anyways I got offered a cheap 300zx Na auto yesterday and it was too cheap to pass up. It has a few issues namely it needs a new drivers window motor and secondly after a good few months parked up it will now crank over but not actually Fire. I have no knowledge of how the immobiliser system works on a 300zx. Does it usually prevent cranking as well as spark/fuel? Anyhow the car was cheap enough that if I can't ge…

So, firstly I'm dead new here, HI! Im looking to get a 300, but my options around here are very limited and I'm going to have to drive quite a ways to look at what is already available. I would like a twin turbo (Like anyone) but they're scarce and haven't seen anything come up for about 5 weeks now (Without it being horribly molested and having some naff body kit and sticker all over it). Because the car would be a project for me that will inevitably take all my pennies, I was contemplating getting a non-turbo model, and then turbo-charging it? If i were to do this, would it be worth sourcing the stock turbo kit from a breaking possibly? Should be a …

Hi all not a newbie but its been a while so thought id say hi again from sunny sidcup. Ive sold the rs6 ( already starting to regret that to be honest) and I just cant help but trawl fleabay, pistonheads and the usual places for a good zed, problem is I cant seem to find any!! Maybe im just being too picky but im after a mint tt not overly fussed whether its auto or man but man would be a bonus not really looking to spend more than 5k. Not in any rush but sort of need to get one in the next 8 months due to insurance nonsense. Cheers Nick

Hi all, I have recently bought a 300zx after an extensive search for an s14 for cheap failed badly, I currently own a bmw 325 which I use for drifting but it's not powerful enough for me anymore hence looking for the common s14, but when this popped up for sale is just had to have it!! I have spoken to someone from this forum about the car and apparently he knows quite a bit about the car as it's been on this site before, the plate is g232 fbl, it's a yellow fairlady. I bought with the strong intention to drift it as the power output is more than what I need, but after speaking to different people and looking into it further, apparently they are very difficult …

Hello amigos, some of you might have spotted my earlier thread asking for some history about this Zed, after some digging and viewing I decided to buy her :) My name is Natalie, i'm from Blyth near Newcastle in the NE of England, I drove a Honda Integra DC5 as my daily but i've been after a RWD summer fun car for a while, this lovely lady came along and I was smitten She was a trade-in to JM Imports, got her for an absolute bargain. Drove her straight to get new tyres on the front as they were badly needed and going to book her MOT next week, She is NA manual with a remap, BC suspension As far as I can tell she is somewhat well known and might have been spo…

Hi all, Just joined yesterday and having a look around as the 300Zed has been on my dream list having ticked off a few legnum VR4s, an old 88 galant VRV4 (which I still have) and a couple of camaros.. I am also having the internal manual vs auto debate altho I do fancy the lazy auto cruise thing this time round ... I spotted this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261535468270 which I know has been up for sale for a wee while but think buying an enthusiasts car could be a better option I am based in Hemel Herts and seen one or two buzzing around hemel but not sure if they are members cars from here.. Cheers Derek
