Hello All. Thought I should say hello properly. I've had my Z a couple of weeks now and I'm chuffed to bits with it. It caught fire on day 3, but I've forgiven it that minor indiscretion already. I was very luckily I spotted what was happening and managed to get a CO2 extinguisher right away. I had heard that the Alternators on these cars were weak, but I didn't expect it to self combust! Its a '94 SWB NA car fresh from Japan. In absolutely lovely condition considering its age, by no means concourse but I intend on using it and enjoying it rather than keeping it mothballed. Even the wheels are starting to grow on me a little... Previously as my fun …

Hi guys, Just bought my first 300, a black JDM first imported in 98, car manufactured in 91. It's a T-top N/A model. She definitely needs work: Both rear arches and door sills Boot lid needS welding around the tail light New seats New spoiler. Definitely looking forward to getting my teeth stuck in though because she runs well and drives well.

Well,Hi to all, its been several years since i was last on this forum, not because of the lack of Z love, but mainly time constraints with heavy work load etc, but now I'm finding time to get back to what i really enjoy! so i thought i would share some pics of my collection! My 1985 Z31 Turbo Manual, bought this 6 years ago, had a lot of fun in the summers in it over the years This is how she currently sits, finally getting round to doing some resto work!: My 1987 Z31 Turbo Manual, saved this one from underneath a tree it had been stood for 3 years :( the amount of mould/moss on this was unreal: Surprisingly good condition consider…

Hello everyone, I've recently acquired a swb 300zx but it's in need of some TLC, desperately. Me too, but that's another subject entirely..:D Anyway, previously I had an s14, with around 400hp which was interesting to drive but I've had nothing but bad luck with that car, so it's in 4 pieces now and all performance stuff has been sold except for a few bits and pieces. Which leaves me with an awful lot of money to spend, but I'm looking to spend it wisely, hence me signing up to the board for some decent information, good advice, occasional banter and whatnot. So, on to the 300, here are some pics. Please advice if the pics are too large. Mostly rusted …

Well tomorrow is the day I've been waiting for..my Z32 na manual is arriving!!! :) Being a 80s/90s kid, I've misspent many an hour admiring the shape of the 300s, along with certain shapes on my baywatch posters no doubt! Ha. Anyway, she's in a bad state, and I'm under no illusion that it'll be easy project, but looking forward to working on her over the next few months! Wish me luck! ? ? Matt (West Yorks).

Hi folks, I'm Stewart from Ayrshire and I'm in the market for a ZX after selling my S4 recently. I joined to meet some other enthusiasts and hopefully gather some handy info like buyers guides etc. I've been keeping tabs on this one on eBay http://http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1991-NISSAN-300-ZX-TURBO-AUTO-RED-/331749304005?hash=item4d3dcca6c5:g:z4MAAOSwa-dWj2ae Its got the site stickers on it so I wondered if the owner is ever on here? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Stewart

Hi all, just picked up my first z this weekend and I love it already. It was from a guy who uses this forum, not sure on his user name! It's not a bad car at all, mechanically she's pretty sweet but the bodywork needs attention. Luckily I own a company that specialises in composite work and custom paint so I'm feeling something different for this one! It has a few niggles but it is a project, it squeaks occasionally from the front n/s suspension and the indicators stopped working today randomly. Hoping it's a loose connection, but it may be a stalk or sonething, who knows! Anyway, hoping to learn more about the 300, as I've always liked them and finally go…

Helloooo. Thought I'd introduce myself. My names Tom Glover. Last weekend I purchased my first 300zx. Bought as a non runner. The previous owner had it sitting for the last few years. He had the engine fully rebuilt, new hybrid turbos etc, but never got round to finishing it off. So Im taking the work on myself. I'm sure I'll be needing some help and advise along the way so any input from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

Hi All, After wanting to buy a 300zx since the mid 90's think it's about time I tried a bit harder to find one. The only other zx I have owned was the amazing wedge of the Sunny coupé zx, which I ended up selling to get a pickup. Last jap car I had was a Honda fn2 championship white edition which I sold to buy a van for work. Hey there seems to be a pattern forming here, anyway I have a van and family wagon GD1Jazz that is for the kids and lady of the house and I really need a toy something to cherish and enjoy. Prices of the 300zx seem to be on the rise but I'm sure a well looked after z32LWB 2+2 TT manual will be worth it. Not had chance yet to v…

Hi I'm Adam from Poland . I buy my 300zx in this year. It is 300zx Z32 twinturgo with automatic gearbox, longer version 2+2, in papers it's year 93 but in reality it's produced betwen 90 and 91. For most of it's live 300zx ride in Switzerland. It have body in nice shape, interior in mid form, and have many problems with engine. Now I'm thinking about engine rebuild, and searching for advices, because I hear that engines in 300zx are complicated to repair so I wanna find some advices before rebuild. In later plans I'm thinking about switching automatic gearbox to manual. In very faaaar future i'd like to lift my zx to 99 japan version ( front japan bumper and tail ligh…

Thought I should post this as a Newbie as she has recently come back from Powerzed and is like a new car after the following work New cambelt, timing pullys, water pump and coolant new injectors where required MT90 gearbox oil New heater matrix Speedo fixed - earth fault only Variable power steering now working correctly due to speedo fix PCV Valves replaced And the really good news - No more smoking on cold start up (the problem was due to a combination of un burned fuel due to missing and PCV valves blocked) and she feels like she has just gained a heap of BHP. Powerzed did a fantastic job at a very reasonable cost and even washed her for me prio…

I'm looking to do a manual conversion and have a reputable garage to carry out the work (Darren are D2 in Strood) but I need to source the complete kit, any ideas where I might find it? Many thanks in advance. Graeme.

Well, I wasn't actually in the market for another toy, but I was drawn to this Z because of the colour. It wasn't too far away, seemed reasonably priced and it turned out to be not too shabby - so now it's mine! I have no time or budget for it at the moment, and my current car is perfect for the winter (Subaru Legacy B4) so the new Z has been tucked up in a friends garage for the winter. No doubt I'll be back on here again in due course - naturally there are a few little jobs to be done, so I'll see y'all soon
