  1. Started by Chris,

Thought I'd put some pics up of my zed that I should be starting work on soon. Not a great deal to see at the moment though! It's a jap TT manual, bought it last year but I've been really busy with other things (that 406 coupe is really unreliable!). The logical thing to do would be to sell it and get one a bit nicer now I've got some money, but I'm gonna plough on regardless for better or worse! Hopefully will be able to get it resprayed either in the same black or change it to white if I can afford it, and I'd like an OEM rear spoiler and 99 spec front bumper but lots of other things to worry about before then. The usual rot, sills don't…

Hey Fellas. It's been a few years since I was on here (5 to put a number on it). I was under the name 'chunder' before but I cant seem to log back in under that name. It's nice to see a few changes (free sign up was a nice surprise I must say!) Just saying 'hi' anyhow. cheers, J.

Hi Guys/Gals The time has come to own a 300zx, I'm only on my third car, having owned a nissan 100nx, a standard Mr2 Mk1 and currently my rather fun Woodsport converted Mr2 Mk1 2 litre turbo. Currently I'm selling my MR2 MK1 2 litre turbo due to a few reasons mainly due to me not wanting to use it as a daily driver because it deserves better than to suffer our winters and quite fancy an extra 2 seats and also go back to a targa after missing one since having the mighty 100nx! So I'm going to get a cheap run about for the winter and a 300zx for the spring/summer months. The 300zx is one of my all time fave cars and having spotted a few recently it's wetted my appet…

  8. Started by nickz,

I'm new to the forum as I only joined up a few weeks ago when I started to search for a 300zx. ( I currently have 2 x z31's in restoration. I have also got a Murano if we are classing that as a Z Car? ) I put a wanted advert in the classified section and had some people offer me certain cars, but they didn't come off in the end due to one reason or another. Anyway this weekend just gone I finally managed to get hold of a Pearl White NA 1991 300zx. I am over the moon with it so far. I'll upload some pictures tomorrow as everyone on forums likes pictures !! LOL!! I'm not sure if its been part of the club in the past as the previous owner had passed a…

Finally got a car at auction yesterday! It's a 2000 reg GZ32 version R with ~120,000km on it. Needs some very slight tidying but looks like a solid zed. Wasn't really after an NA or anything in red, but I couldn't say no to this car! Maybe down the line I'll look into a TT conversion - or maybe not; must be other ways I can make up to 60-80bhp without the complexity. Anyway, my name's Jay and I'm a software engineer from Dublin. I've been after a Z32 for about a year and a half now, having moved away from previous dreams of Skylines and RX-7s. Looking forward to some fun years to come - even as an NA I'm sure it'll feel lightning fast compared to my 90bhp (originally…

  10. Started by Pebkau,

Hi Folks I'm new to this and a long time Z fan. However my personal Z gremlin has struck again. 10 years ago I went to buy did the deal shook hands on a cracking TT. To be fair I did screw him down a bit! He then got a significantly higher offer, he was decent and offered to pay any out of pocket costs. I duly went and spent the money on something else (poorly performing shares I think) and a week later he came back and said the guy had rocked up with a cheque book saying I promise I have money. Doh! Fast forward 10 years and once again I find a car and do the deal. Drive 2 hours- no car- wait an hour- no car- drive halfway home - phone rings- sorry mate! and of…

  13. Hi all, Not totally new on here but haven't contributed much. Done a lot of looking in tho. I did a load of research and bought what I thought was a good one a couple of years ago. Although it had a dodgy Irish provenance, I went all over it (and under it - in the snow!) before buying. It looked pretty good, but a year later it failed on rotten sills and rear arches. For a number of reasons I haven't got round to having that repaired properly (got it patched up for MOT) and am now looking for another car instead (later model). I am even considering going to Japan (if I can ever find one for sale there) and importing myself. But how was there so much corrosion not show…

New here and need new friends as I ran the last lot over. The was with a Mitsoooooobitchy and it didn't agree with me (or my lawyers) so thought I'd try a Datsun instead. Important questions please to be responded to or you will not be my new friends. 1. What's the fuel consumption? 2. Are they capable of reaching the speed limit on the big roads? (The ones with the lorries) 3. How much are they? 4. Do they come in blue? 5. What's the fuel consumption? 6. Does anyone called Brian own one? (I don't want to be associated with anyone called Brian) 7. Tell me a joke. (If you're not funny I don't want you as my new friend) 8. What's the fuel consum…

Hello there, I'm new to 300zx engines, sorry to say that's all I have, anyway I'm looking at putting this engine in a transit, I have a twin turbo engine and gearbox from a manual, I think it was a j reg car z32 anyway I've had a look around your site and already the wiring diagram is gonna be very useful, thanks very much :) I'm in Bournemouth just wonder if there are any experts around the Bournemouth area who I can quiz about where all the stuff goes :) anyway, looks like a great site. And hello to every one :) Ben.

Hi all its a few years since I have been on here - managed to lose all my log in details etc... Anyway still have a 1992 twin turbo red 300zx which is is great fun to drive. A couple of years ago I had a fair bit of work done by Jeff at Zed World which was all good and was trying to contact him again but he seems to have shut the business ? Is that correct or have I just not found the correct link ? It if is shut can anyone suggest someone who they trust to work on their Zed in the South East at a fair price. Thanks

  17. Started by Pebkau,

Hi Guys Just been and looked at a SWB manual TT import. Car is solid, low mileage, runs and drives well with pretty much no rust anywhere. The only problem is the HPI check comes back clean apart from saying it is a 2+2 Am I being too suspicious here or is this a cock up in registering the car when it was imported. As always any thoughts and comments are welcome. Cheers

Hi Guys, My name is Doru and I live in Oxford , I got a 1990 300zx twin turbo for almost a year , not many modifications just the wheels and a very loud sound system. I was trying to upload some pictures on this post from my computer but I don't know how :)

  19. Started by Evaansss,

I've been on the forum for a while now. But after months of searching I've found the right car and put my money down on it! These photos are from the listing, I was enjoying the viewing too much to take my own. I'm picking her up on Wednesday and will give a thorough wax and then post some new ones! Also will be buying a Forum Subscription very soon! Once I recuperate some money. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  20. Hi all thought id just say hello. This is actually my second fairlady as i had one a few years buck but unlike my old one this is a 1995 import, twin turbo manual. Seems to be well looked after and in good condition but fairly standard just now. It currently has a cat-back HKS system, Apexi induction kit and apparently different turbos. However im not sure which turbos as of yet. I will be fitting the down pipes that i have shortly and then will be looking into getting the ECU sorted out for running more boost. I have had the ECU out and see it is totaly standard with no socket. Can someone point me in the right direction as to where i can obtain the required …

Hi all, iv been a lurker for some time on here and thought I should introduce myself as I have owned my zed for a month or two now and will probably be using the forum more frequently My name is Callum and I'm from the rhondda South Wales I picked up my zed a few months ago and it's undergoing a mild bodywork restoration and a full engine rebuild (not by me!) and should be uploading some pics pretty soon as I figure out how to do it! And that's about it! Look forward to being a part of the forum!

Hi everyone, My names Tracy and I am from Bathgate in West Lothian. I am currently in the market for a 300zx though holding out for the right one to pop up for sale. I have wanted one since i was about 10yrs old and now I can finally get one. Not sure if it will be an TT or a NA one though I ride a CBR600f and this has made me view cars in a bit off a less enthusiastic way so I might end up with a nice clean NA one (I like the underdog) I joined to get more information on them and advice :). Between my partner and myself we currently own a VW Polo 1.8 20v turbo, EG honda civic with B18C4 engine conversion, 1.4 EK Honda Civic (daily shed), MK3 Toyota…

Hi there, Just thought I'd say hi. I run a company called Loud Pedal Tuning and look after a customers 300zx and currently bringing a short wheel base 300 back to the road so thought it would be a good idea to join the forum. I look forward to speaking to some of you in the future.

Hey all! I'm new to the forum and the Z world in general, after having only just bought one last month. I've wanted one for a long time now and finally managed to get my hands on a 1990 TT AT Fairlady import. I wanted a little bit of a project car so the AT will one day be coming out when the money is good and the knowledge base is there, and replacing with the 5sp. I'm keen to restore the car to the Fairlady standard rather than modify it too heavily, and any help in the coming months/years......decades would be most appreciated! The car is cosmetically in great condition, and the engine seems to run great, especially considering the age. There are so many unknowns …

Hi, I joined the club in 2006 but mostly lurked in the background. My old username was Mr Matt but I only posted a few messages. After years of not really visiting the site, I feel like joining in a bit more and changing my username at the same time. If anyone is interested, my name is Matthew and I'm a physicist working at the University of Manchester. Met my wife at uni here 14 years ago and we have a two year old son. I've owned my gunmetal grey 300ZX TT since 2006 when my dad gave it to me. Best Gift Ever! He bought it new in 1990 when I was 8 years old so it's been a part of the family for most of my life. Hopefully I'll be passing it on to my son one day.…
