We still need to get some more names down to pick a venue. All scottish members who can make it post up and we will get the meeting organised. To pick a date for this: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=629014#post629014 Dave G

Agree with you there, I found it easy to insure my r5GTT a few years ago but trying to do rs turbos now is crazy.
  9. I agree with the stupidity but the guy in a BM makes driving like that effortless
  10. I am still waiting for my keyring but stickers arrived a few weeks ago. Best BHP I ever made, those stickers
  11. Ive still not been spotted. Long live grey Zs
  12. I think it will be funny when someone actually wins. Because then he will have to tell her that he has been putting pictures of her on the net :mac1: :nelson: Dave G
  13. I know a few people who dont like the look of the Z32. Its all down to personal opinion. Although I do like the Evos Im still not sure whether I would buy on or not. Its just the guys opinion. Remember the magazine is still press. They emphasis things they thing people would read.
  14. Sorry m8 cant help, thing in the pic is hard to see.
  15. I wonder what your next car will be then?
  16. No worries, we will have to meet when you are back then. My 1st phase of tuning will be done then. Goodluck with the leather and let me know how you get on.

I ended up with a company called One Call who are part of Zurich. Cant remember how I found them out but I will have a look for the number sometime this week. You will be able to get cheaper insurance but I guarantee that it will actually be void. Insurance companies find it hard to pin point the exact model. Keep trying though and you should get one. Insurance is crazy for people my age if you want any sort of decent power car. Anything highly stolen, modified, crashed a lot (which the Z isnt apparently), over 250ish hp and the premiums go sky high. Cheapst I got for a WRX subraru (would never buy one now though) was 2500 and only a few companies would insure me. And I dont know how many subarus I have ripped apart in the Z. Dave G
  18. I thought it would fit, its just the same as a normal Jap face but has the scale of MPH shown. PM sent m8. What do I need to remove to fit this then?? Dave G
  19. I will have on mine: 3 pod A-Pillar with oil pressure, oil temp and boost 2 slot din with water temp and volts I was gonna get a 3 slot din but thats the only types of gauges that my suppliers make.
  20. Mark, I think the only leather any of the scottish guys has was done by a professional. Not sure of his name but it was a light silver Z (Kev). But I am sure he bought a kit similiar to what you are looking at but the professional guy ordered it (trade price) and fitted it for the same price as they sell it. I am thinking of using the same guy to trim the door surrounds etc as I have the full black leather in mine, just needing a polish. Will you be coming along to the meet in April?
  21. I agree with you there. A car is bought to be driven. They would have paid around that 10 years ago so they cant even say that they have made a profit off it.

By the way dont get complacent with the insurance. I am only a young pup like yourself. I bought mines in December (21 year old) and was getting quotes of £800-£1000 FC but when I actually phoned them up and ensured that all the details were right they bumped prices to £3k and other stupid quotes. I finally ended up with £1700 FC which I am happy with cos it is the only car that I pay money for. This should help: http://www.300zx.org.uk/tech_20.htm From another users website
