  1. Good idea Ed. I could do with a conzult check. Might clear one wee problem I have. See you there, Dave G
  2. Looks good David. Nice work on the centre consol. I think I might paint mine black now
  3. Copycat. l need to give mine a good clean to get anywhere near your refurbed badboys. Very nice deep alloys m8. Dave G
  4. It isnt todd by anychance?? With a N/A supra after owning a couple of 2s
  5. Sounds very similiar to what happened to BrakeDust300. Showed me the performance meter thing he had and the boost as at 33psi because of the problem. Should be a good showdown with the higher power Zs. Mines will be on 9psi but I am gonna take it on to see if I get any decent times. Dave G
  6. I am interested but still cant get an Auto on
  7. Thanks guys I will go do a local search now. Dave G
  8. I already have a rear foglight on my Jspec which does not work. I hate the switch that they have used too. I am just gonna replace with a new one. Does anyone have a wiring diagram or a little walkthrough that may help? TIA, Dave G
  9. And to think the amount of time and money gone into it. Some mothers do ave em
  10. Nice1 m8 I have still to meet Ronnie, spoken to him over the phone when I dropped his seats off. We will need to meet up sometime. Ashley and myself didnt put a bid in for that house cos the construction was dodgy, probably wouldnt have been allowed to mortgage it anyway. Did the new solenoid arrive? I am going to be giving the car a little service on Sunday if you wanna come down and have a wee nosey. Just checking oils and levels and replacing some more hoses and all clips that look a bit suspect. May even do my boot install while I am there. Dave G
  11. I am going to attempt to retrim the inside panels of my 2+2. Any suggestions on where to buy the material. I am thinking of going for black and stitching some sort of pattern within it to make it a bit less dull and boring. I would prefer vinyl but may use leather. TIA, Dave G
  12. I was at knockhhill today for their rally experience. Thought they would have given us something with a bit of grunt. But no they gave us group N Sierra Saphires. I thought it was seriously underpowered until he took it round the track. Was a great day out though. Anyway back to the Z. Had a wee rake about in the boot of the car tonight. The previous owner had kindly dynamatted the whole boot and under rear seat when he uprated all speakers to very good quality ones. He told me when I bought the car that he used home stereo wires to wire the new speakers in for both the front and back. I had a look at the standard speaker wire and it really is horrid. Cant believe Nissan would even use the stuff. I have one question though; in my boot on the drivers side there is the tool kit and on the passenger side there is pieces of wood to fill the recess and hold the carpet up. Is this standard on all of the Zs? During next week I will be making an install in the boot which will fill both recessess at each side of the boot. There is plenty of space for both of my subs and amp without infringing into the boot too much. Ill keep you guys posted. :nana2: (phew what a pointless thread. 1 day into my holiday and I am bored already :o ) Dave G
  13. Mines love the car. She always moans that she never gets to drive it. When I let her she always drives 5 miles or so then change back to the passenger side. I am lucky and have an understanding GF, but I hate myself more for the car costing a bomb. Every week I buy something new for her (not the missus lol). Dave G
  14. Scotty did you manage to get a stand for us?? I am looking forward to the meeting, I am gonna take it on the track too to see what the car gets with standard boost and a couple of basic mods before I turn it up. Dave G
  15. I like the gaffer tape around the steering column. Great stuff that
  16. Happy birthday "the auld aines"
  17. People quote figures depending on where they live. The above mods in the US of A would give around 450hp. In the North it will give 400hp, in the south 370hp and in Scotland 350hp
  18. OK The meeting is now changed to hopefully promote more interest. Scottywill will be arranging a stand within the Crail airfield to which we can all meet. I will go up early so that there is someone there for the rest of us. Still not sure if I will be on the strip. I am hopeful to get a boost controller and powermeter. If I do and all fits OK I should come on. Once this meeting is done and dusted, Scottywill can gladly take back over from me as I was just filling in his slot (oooh errr missus :mac1: ). Welcome back scottywill, look forward to getting a better nosey at your car at this meet. Dave G
  19. looks good m8. Check what chip is in the ECU for you to be running that boost. I like that colour too. Dave G
  20. I may go but lucky if I break into the 13s
  21. I reckon you should get the time you are wanting with the next couple of mods. Probably get it at this, gives you time to prepare for the USSC also. Dave G
  22. I wish I checked their schedule before hand. Paul, you gonna let me come on with you this time as a passenger that is.
  23. 23rd of April is the Tora Tora Tora with Banzai. Shall we just change the venue to there?? Fancy taking over Scotty?

This is what I paid: £60 for chip £30 to get it socketed Mig Tips free from my work usually a few pounds Chip should be mapped to suit your car already. Just waiting on Andy P sticking up a post. HTH, Dave G
  25. Nice1 m8. Smooth and sleek
