Check and make sure that your window is tight against the seal too. There is more than likely a bolt missing from within the door frame itself. Where on a series 1 there is the seat bolt holder. Open this up and tighten or replace the screw. Job done. Worked for loads I know now

TBH m8 you probably wont need those strips. Just try your window like I suggested earlier in the thread. Fixed my sieve of a roof and others by the sounds of it. Makes sure you get a good seal the way it was from the factory

Royal, It was a very very windy day today, all of the guys were called off from working on the beach/foreshore area. Anyway, I dragged myself out of the office to take some pics of it and thought I might aswell take some showing what the waves and that were like. You guys are talking about the newer version. I am on about the 2001 version. 5.0 V8 with only 400bhp. I am sure that the one you guys mean is the next version. I agree with that too. I think it is the best one to have.

Japanese over complicating things. I imagine it was town driving to save all the kickdowns from 4th to 3rd around low speeds

Guess there is a trend there with length after boost upgrade. Should the oil cooler I am adding help this any or just prolong it a couple of hundred miles?

Ye overdrive just adds the 4th gear if it needs to. You dont have to take it off to run around town, I never do. TBH I hardly even use 3rd. The only time I do is when I put the footdown. Cos on normal driving it goes, 1st, 2nd but when I change to 3rd it only stays in for 1 second or so then just drops into 45th. But that is driving like a granny though around town :D

I had one of those try to race me the other week. I didnt even waste my time. While we are on the question of BMWs. Do you think a Z running 14.5psi, trust SMICs, Nisstek chip, Apexi induction, would have a decent chance against a 2001 M5. The 5.0l V8 version. My m8 is away to buy one and I think he may have a faster car than me for a change. I think they have 400bhp from the factory

Well my m8 had his caribean license and that was it. He then had to apply for provisional, sit theory test, get some lessons to rid himself of bad habits. Now all that is left to do it pass his practical. Just like a new driver has to do. I never thought of it that way. I will say that to him next time I see him, cos I am sure you are right about scrapping anything from provisional

Just for info guys you will still get points. When you receive points they go onto a shadow license, ie will never make any difference until you apply for a UK license. For example a m8 I work with thought he would have been point free for life in UK (driving here for 8 years already). But now my work requires him to get a british license instead of the one he got in the caribean which is perfectly fine to use in the UK. But they required him to do so because of insurance reasons for our company cars. The funny thing is, when he goes onto the UK license, this is actually his shadow license which already has 6 points on it from the past years. Now as most of you know 6 points within 1 year of passing your test, means an automatic ban. So what might happen (as he is unsure, so is DVLA as far as I am aware) is that he will pass his practical test and get banned straight away from the points he has accumulated. Conclusion: - Points go onto a shadow license not an international one an will never cuse you any hassle unless you have to change over for some reason. - Fines still have to be paid.

Yeah definately. I will be taking plenty of photos, but need someone with a decent video camera. Ill definately take some more vids on mine but they aint much good, not sure if we get sound on it too. Maybe next time though Mark, plus I like your colour a lot
