  1. Cool, ill get someone with mre experience on the likes to help me out. I have never done any timing checks or corrections before. It is a brand new boost gauge, exact same as Chris at Greddy was selling so doubt it is a prob. Thanks
  2. Another thing to check (shown to me by Craig-s) is if your window doesnt stay in position very well. I found mines to be rattly. To fix this there is a screw on the inside of the door trim which is part of a plate to hold the window tight, screw no doubt fell into the door. As this isnt there to inst the window allowing leaks. I will be doing this tomorrow need a small enough nut, should fix mines. Dave G
  3. Right I done a diagnostic before with a couple of errors. Fixed these and getting 55s now. But I am still on safety boost. I replaced the hoses to normal (had 1mm tips in before) and still not reaching above 7. Any ideas? Dave G
  4. There are numerous opinions on this. What I would suggest is fitting intercoolers that suit your front bumper. If you like the look of FMIC go for these and make sure you get a front to suit. I just bought Trust SMICs from chunk but that is because I will leave bodywork standard. GL, dave G
  5. I will give that a go. I put lots of silicon inbetween the panel and the rubber but didnt compress it out enough. Similiar idea to yours but more mess. Ill be off to B&Q today then. Dave G
  6. Looks as if all is good for me. o2 sensor has been replaced. The last thing to do now is fit in my engine temp sensor which will take all of 5 mins. Once this is done it will be code 55s all the way. Meeting up with Craig today nd going to give my oil plate and gauges a go. So should have full view of how the engine is operating. I have never been on the strip, but as you said Kev weather permitting. Might even rope my fiancee to come round the skid park too. Dave G
  7. I would say go get it seen. I have put of getting my ankles checked for ages and now I think I will have problems the rest of my life. I like you was a martial artist, one of the last things I dne was fight in kickboxing heavyweight world championship, fought 6 fights in a row to reach the final and after removing my pads I could not stand anymore. I then trained and fought for 2 months after that and it just totally detiorated. Probably a problem from my footbal and rugby days carried on, but I had to stop for my own sake dispite the shape and condition I was in. I would say go get it checked, dont end up like me and saying "I wish I did". I mean all you can loose is some wasted time if going to the hospital isnt worth it. But if you do need attention then you will be glad 10 times over you went. Dave G
  8. Ill let you know m8, I wouldnt mind popping up and borrowing the ramp to fit my sandwich plate and fit in my guages. But I think I will suspend this till the next weekend I am homw (7th April). Dave G
  9. Cool, the annoying thing is I have known for about a month now it needs these things and totally forgot about buying any of it. And the weekend I decide to do the work I order the part at Thursday night!! :wack: Should have planned it a bit more. Thanks m8
  10. Thanks Lymon. I have ordered a new sensor and connector from Andy at Supercar Parts (thanks for the help and good price again m8). Cant wait now. I will just do a wee diagnostic again once done to make sure its working right. PS, what difference would the harness and connector make? Dave G
  11. Barry his name is. He said another Z was in. Hes daft as a brush like myself. He might come round too to give a wee hand. I hope that my car is running properly on Friday so shouldnt be too much work on Sat for me, but I am always happy to help. The aim this weekend is NO MORE SAFETY BOOST!!! Dave G
  12. I have already been given an upgrade from the original, wont even tell you what it was heap of sh*t. I do have the correct posture though, its one thing I am pretty concerned about as I dont want a bad bad later in life. But when I have my back against the seat the lumbar support is far too much down my back because of my height, which is what makes it comfy. I let other people drive it who travel further than me to stick milage on it and they say the same also and are not as tall as myself. I will speak to Peugeot when it does its first service, probably another few months. Thanks guys.
  13. My company gave me a 206 about a year ago as a company car. I was hoping to get rid of it this year and use my own car, but they were having none of it. But as I am 6'3" I dont find the seats very comfortable. Does anyone know of any seats that are comfortable that I could fit into my peugeot. I imagine that I could fit any peugeot or shitroen seats into it. I bought my GF a C2 VTS which I think the seats are OK but a bit stiff for some of the longer journeys I do. TIA, Dave G
  14. Didnt think it would but was being a bit hopeful. An ideas on how to sort the other 2 probs then? TIA, Dave G
  15. OK I will be working on the car Friday and Saturday to resolve the safety boost limit prob I have. From the diagnostic I done a while back I found the following: - Pass o2 sensor knackered - Engine temp sensor - Harness and Connector OK first job is to replace this o2 sensor. I have the thing ready and will probably take me but an hour to do the job as everything is stripped inside the engine bay in the area as I ripped the thread. In previous threads it came apparent that the harness and connector and eng temp sensor probs were supposedly resolved by cleaning the connections on these. I havent done a diagnostic since, but I am still unsure if this has made any difference My question now is: Once I replace the o2 sensor, should I get back above safety boost? And if it does not how can I fix the other 2 probs?? Sorry for such a noob question, Dave G
  16. I was going to go work with a m8 in National Tyres on Strathmartine road but I am just going to give it a bash at the house. I actually just dismantled everything to do it. I ripped the thread while taking it out. I will try and retap the thread first then if that doesnt work I will replace the adaptor inside the manifold. I have all the tools and since I removed all the gubbings around it there is much more space to fit them in. I will be fitting these at my house as the car is very stuttery with the o2 sensor just plugged. You are welcome to come round. I wont be home till Friday late afternoon. But I plan working on the car all night and 8 till 12 on saturday to hopefully fit in all of the oil plate/guages. PM sent Ronnie Dave G
  17. Nice1, my first one was £500 and the next one is £1k but all worth it IMO
  18. About fookin time. At least you are happy with the result after all the hassle you have had. I will give you a phone today sometime about meeting on the weekend and/or going to Crail on Sunday. Looking very sweet though m8, cant wait for the completed photos. Dave G
  19. Spot on, as Mark said, you can buy conversion kits but its a waste of time. mr2oc.co.uk will help you out too if you have no luck there, thats where I read about doing mines (but never actually got round to doing it). HTH, Dave G
  20. I think it is down to the driver. My m8 raced an Escort Cosworth a couple of nights ago on some twisties. The guy was much quicker in a straght line but he got hammered on the corners. The funny thing was, my m8 was just driving his 2.2 Vectra SRi only has 150 bhp. Again this just showed that he was a better driver round the corners than the cossi driver. I wouldnt have thought the GTR would get beat, I thought the focus was a bit underpowered to even stand a chance. I have raced an R32 and beat it, on a private track ofcourse.
  21. Well as my title night says I am running safety boost. But I will be working on the car Friday night until complete, weather permitting. I hope that once I install my o2 sensor it should all be well. But am hopefully meeting a m8 on Saturday to give me a wee help. If I do make it sunday it will be a good chance to see before and after times of the 1/4 strip to check differences with my Trust SMICs. I should be running roughly 14.5 psi, nisstek ECU, Apexi Power Intake, Blitz BOVs with decent rear tyres and auto  . I think if we come up against each other you will probably beat me, never been on the strip and never seen above 10 psi  . But nonetheless I will give it a go. Dave G
  22. I have a salad plate I could lend out if that helps? OK if there are a few of us I am more tempted to go, Ill ask another from Dundee area to go too, he should be up for it. Dave G
  23. But you Z is white not red  . Looks good m8, expensive? Mines is G2UAR but not on my Z. Meaning Gruar (surname). I am away to buy a different one but similiar for the Z. Its great having a private plate and a non-popular surname. Dave G

Blistering snow storms here and being a Civil Engineer means I am outdoors mostly, but not just now, too cold. But at least I will get back down south on Monday. I work here btw: Middle of NoWhere Dave G
  25. I could nip through to Kircaldy to his address (that I dont have) to save you the hassle. Not that far out of my way. Wont be going till Weekend though if you need me. Let me know Dave G
