Im Such A Clot!!!!!
lol, plenty of the guys in work do that but the other way round, ie petrol in their diesel vans. Guys always get a lot of stick for it. There is a tell tale sign when filling it up, not a lot of people know this though. If your car is a diesel use the diesel pump, if it is petrol use the petrol pump. Sorry had to say it, can be misleading with labelling both the same.

Power for Inner-Brake, Rear Fog Conversion
Sorry to bring this up again. I am going to be giving this a shot in a couple of weeks. How can I tell which lines these are from inside the car. ie red for 12v right? Also from looking at the picture, does the 12v supplies for the bake supply and side light supply connect together at the 12v relay. Sorry to be a pain, Im always worried I do something terminal on the car when working with electrics. Dave G

Car change !
Sorry to hear that m8. I was looking forward to seeing the work completed. It sounded like a good plan you had. But doing it the way you are sounds a more financially rewarding way. Hope you get back in a Z soon. Dave G

RAH RAH I hate the tax man
Sorry to hear it. They do a mistake in counting so you have to pay it in a lump sum. I am actually on hold trying to work out how much the b**tards owe me. Could be a good lump sum. Dave G

Keep 'em peeled! FFS!
Point to note, I was walking up from my GF sisters on New Years heading home. Drunk as **** when as 2 18 year olds walked past and decided to try and cover me and my GF with snow. I hate fighting outside (cos I will get done first, trained fighter)but the f**kers provoked me and thought they would both be hard by coming back asking what I would do about it. Bet they wish they didnt say it as they both ended lying on their backs, getting up and running down the road into the most schemiest area in Dundee. Everything should come down to school ground rules. If you get a hiding and deserve it (like these little scum did) then end of. If you didnt deserve it find the scum again and give them a hiding. Who got there arse kicked by a pug?
I was the same between 17 and 19. First car Vauxhall Nova (I know, i know, never again) bought for £400 and it was pretty much a shed. Spent £3000 on it and sold it for £12 to my scrappy. A few cars later I bought a Fiat Bravo for £4k, spent another £8k on doing it up, dont get me wrong I never heard one bad comment about it. But when I look back it has to be one of the most pointless things I have ever done. In the end I sold it for £3200 after only a year and a bit of ownership. Back to the point, if you guys are trying to say it all comes down to spending less for a better car then you will end up on the jap route everytime (My past 3 were Japs). But its all down to personal opinions, people like different cars for different reasons, I know I wouldnt go out and buy a MK2 astra or anything like that. But I know one guy who has changed his mind from buying a £16k M5 5.0 to looking for an Astra GTE instead simply because he loved them when they just came out and always wanted one. He also asked me, "Dave, what do you think I should do to make my car faster (Vectra 2.2 SRi), cams, pistons or that?" My reply was "sell it!!!, Buy a 300zx for the mods you are planning of doing and get a much quicker car without the effort". Let everyone to there own or join Barry Boys, http://www.barryboys.co.uk/mx/index.php?page=2&sid=68f02c24b51a7d062a7a94d08cea5798 Plenty of moaners and sole opinionated people on there. Dave G

Who got there arse kicked by a pug?
Agree totally, I would never bother with all the hassles they have. But I think its quality to see a car like that. "sheep in wolves clothing". My favourite was a BMW Issetta (bubble car) with a Suzuki Hayabusa engine in it. You see eveyone laughing as it came to the start line on a 1/4 mile track. But checking the aww around the croud was amazing. Never seen so many stunned faces, lol. Dave G

Who got there arse kicked by a pug?
There are a few cars around Dundee that I could get beat from if I raced them. Some are: 2.0 Turbo Novas High power RS Turbos T16 205s All built to beat cars like ours. No shame in losing really. My old R5 would accelerate quicker than the Z to about 60, but from then onwards I would destroy it. I could say the same about my GFs car. I could take her C2 VTS round a corner quicker than the Z. Its back to politician talk, you can make anything sound amazing by promoting the best bits. Dave G

Brake Question
I have only taken the car up here once. I always leave it at my other house in Dundee. I get a better use out of it there and put less milage on it. Come up to Thurso anytime you want. Surfing is meant to be quite big up here but I have never bothered, too busy working my 12 hour shifts. I wouldnt recommend surfing today though as I cant see a thing with snow. Think I will get a good snowball fight later. Back to the salty sea air. We bought brand new drill rigs for the contract we are on around this time last year. Typically we get a good 10 years from drill rigs before any major overhauling is required. But from the look of it (sea air corroding parts etc) we might only get 2-3 years. Pretty rubbish for pieces of kit that cost us the best part of half a million. And we are already ordering our next 2 rigs. Dave G

Brake Question
This may be a no brainer but I work away for 2 weeks at a time. Meaning that I only see the Z 2 days a fortnight  . Everytime I come back the brakes are ceased. Is there anyway of preventing this occuring? Mines is an Auto so I just leave it in Park with the Handbrake off. TIA, Dave G

tuner/garage service aberdeen
Sounds promising, If you arrange for some sort of opening day I will pop along and have a wee nosey. I usually prefer to get garages to do any performance work for me but due to the lack of a garage who could do work properly I found that I am better working on the car myself. But now that there is a good place opening I could see you having my car in for a few weeks at a time for some work. Hope this venture succeeds. Dave G

Which Motorbike
£1600 FC insurance. Only want the bike as a toy, same as the car. And I cant justify to myself that paying over £3k a year on insurance for toys is worth it. So I have set a limit of £700 for insurance. £2.5k in total I will be looking to pay. That way I can buy the bike, pssibly some gear and insurance all in the one go so I dont have to pay anymore. Unless you want to sell me your bike for £900 and throw in loads of XXL gear in aswell?? :smash: Dave G

Which Motorbike
That was my ideal bike before checking insurance out. I think those are great, another of the Engineers in my work had one of those too to which I wanted to sell me lats year. Bit too pricey though and like I say, I think the insurance is still high. Ill go try again for a laugh. Dave G
