Retrim
Zcentre do the kit for £200. I am still unsure on what to do whether I go for replacing of tweed or buying the kit. Did you try to recover the tweed or remove?? I think having my mum as a professional sewing machnist tells me which one will be better though

pod
same prices including and excluding vat. Is the taxman getting generous?? As far as I was aware everyhing on there is excluding. Good service at Z centre, used a couple of times now

Boost Jets????
From what I gathered previously 1.2mm jets will result in circa 12 psi and 1.0mm jets will give ~14 psi. All cars will act differently because of the age and conditions of he turbo. Upping the boost will make you engine run faster and things that may not have went for a few months may start failing earlier. But thats just the way the cookie crubles. I am running 1.0mm boost jets at the moment. I also just removed the hoses and replaced with new hoses. Trying to remove the jets from the hoses is a pain in the a55 too so I suggest buying hose from Smithy and having 1 set of lines with 1.0mm mig tips and 1 set with 1.2mm tips. This allows you to swap over the hoses to choose between standard, 12 or 14 psi. HTH Dave G

help on gauges
o illuminate the gauges there will probably just be 2 wires, one for +12v and one for ground. If you go for the electrical ones here will be more to wire in for the senders but as far as I can gather i is easy. Ill let you know after the weekend. I bought guages of same make but mechanical and white background. I know Brett has similiar ones to those and they look great as there are off when parked etc but come to life once turned on. Dave G

oil guage thing in rev counter
Not 100% sure as I havent done it yet, but I imagine you have put the block in with the senders and connections in at the closest side of the wheel. It would be best to fit so that eveything if facing towards the middle of the car. I may be wrong but thats my 2p worth. HTH Dave G

Anyone got a HKS FMIC manual?
Im home this weekend, then not back for another 2 weeks. I forgot that you use your works time, ahem tax payers money to fix your car  lol. JK, I think I will be meeting up with Craig for a wee gas this weekend. Hope you get it running properly soon. Have you remounted the oil cooler yet? I will be fitting mines next week too. Dave G

ECU diagnostic help required please
It appears to run perfect apart from no boost above 7 psi. Thanks for the advise Fraser. I work at Dounreay, Thurso and live in Dundee so I could take a detour home someday and meet up. Dave G

oil guage thing in rev counter
Yeah apparantly fitting an oil plate between block and filter is the way. Spoken to a few people and reckon its a very quick job, might as well change the oil at the same time. In total probably less than an hour. But I am doing it on the weekend, ill see how easy it is.

ECU diagnostic help required please
OK as some of you know I am stuck on safety boost. Using the TTZD page following an ECU diagnostic I found that I had to do the following: Trouble Code: Detected Items: Malfunction Caused By: Check:: Trouble Code:13 Detected Items: Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor Malfunction Caused By: The Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor circuit is open or shorted (abnormally high or low voltage is registered). Check: Harness and connector, Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor Trouble Code:21 Detected Items: Ignition signal circuit Malfunction Caused By: The ignition signal in the primary circuit is not entered during engine cranking or running Check: Harness and connector, Power Transistor Unit My questions is, what does it mean by harness and connector? Is it the connection onto the ECU? Also where can I find the engine coolant temp sensor? TIA, Dave G

Help needed!
Brett, I had the same thing when I fitted my Apexia and BOVS. I wanted to try out them out to see if they worked so left a couple of the hoses off. Strted fine, then cut out and sometimes wouldnt start or when it did, coughed a spluttered about. Sounds to me that it could be a hose problem, but I am not very experienced with the Z. Nearly got it back on the road again m8? Dave G

GPS Road Thingy
LOL I know bolt it to my bike. Well I wouldnt put it on my road bike anyway, rule is the less weight the better. After all I am pulling 16 stone alone, way too heavy for a cyclist. Dave G

GPS Road Thingy
I would prefer a PDA with the software on it, if that makes sense. But I would still consider full sat nav system. Preferably with easy and cheap updates
