  2. Waste of a good car, shame on the VW owner
  3. No I didnt receive mines
  4. Just noticed he has ESP aswell. His car must be amazing plus its a convetible with a sunroof  . Tilt steering wheel, did any have these, mines doesnt. Dave G
  5. Nice interior but not £6k worth. Typical overestimator
  6. £1700 Fully Comp. 1 years NCB on both my own and company car (not sure which one they used). Low crime area and no points. 6k miles a year. I dont really mind as its the only car I pay for. Dave G
  7. I like those wheels a lot. Right thats it now I have to add split rims to my list of purchases and to do. Dave G
  8. Well worth while trying anyway, I was told that mines wouldnt fit, but got them on eventually. Now all thats left to do is paint the calipers to bring the wheels up. Dave G
  9. I know the one you are talking about. Dont think he is part of the forum, he works around the Coldside area and is mates with my Mechanic. Still not seen his though. Just hope I see some around Dundee when I get back, hardly ever any. Dave G
  10. No I will definately be keeping the back seats, although its a sports car, I am fed up with only having 2 seats and no space for storage. At the end of the day, I wouldnt really call it a sports car cos it is a bit too heavy to be a real one. More like a monster. Plus having 2 seats, means you only have 1 friend or loads of journeys. Dave G
  11. So you like myself must get killed for insurance, I am just 21 too. dave G
  12. I recently fitted alloys from my old MR2 Mk2, which fitted fine with 5mm spacers (to clear the calipers) and M12x1.25 Tuner nuts (alloys needed these). Make sure that if you need to use spacers that you get a least 5 or 6 full turns of the nuts before it tightens or they could fall off  . But I am not sure if the GT4 is similiar to the MR2, I know the normal Celicas is not similiar as they have different offsets etc being front wheel drive. But you may be lucky with the GT4. Another thing to check is the alloys themselves. Make sure that they can fit without catching the calipers. The easiest way to do this is find a delaer of the alloys, phone them and ask if they could supply those alloys on a 300zx. If they say yes, you know they will fit and order the spiggot rings while you are there. HTH Dave G
  13. You got any pics of your boot too?? Dave G
  14. So when I go to America in July I could say that my Z has 400bhp, but come back to reality after a couple of weeks and slap myself about a bit, to knock some sense into me?? Its not just Americans who over estimate, I spoke to a guy about his Fiesta Zetec-S which done 0-60 in less than 7 seconds and the only modification was an induction kit. I told him I was too scared to race him, cos I would just get shown up from him. :xxx: Dave G
  15. Another one I like too, Can you still get to the spare wheel. Dave G
  16. I have just read the 400bhp pack. What is a JWT pop charger. Doesnt sound like 400bhp to me though that is basically what I have but I doubt I am 400bhp, maybe 320 if I am lucky. Dave G
  17. Actually, come to think of it I have seen sony tweeters on the dashboard infront. I will check the speakers before I go ordering then. Thanks for the info Legrath, all I need to get me going. Dave G
  18. I have 3 just now that are manky as fook, so some practise still here for her. Ill ask her to wash all of mines and yours for practice and see what she says, lol. :smash:
  19. I am getting information together so I can plan for my boot install. Got a couple of questions: - What size are the front and rear speakers as standard?? -Is there any kits I can use to upgrade the front speakers if they are a smaller size? - What do you guys recommend, upgrading existing speakers or doing a small shelf to accomodate new 6x9s? I am not near the car so I couldnt check myself. Any info appreciated. Dave G
  20. Not sure if it starts working then auomatically but I noticed that it generally does come on at 3500 in mine. You will be able to see when it comes on with your boost gauge in the dash, although known as inaccurate. dave G
  21. So your not as dumb as you look :nelson: , wedding driver with your shofer suit on lol. I am selling my gfs car just now. I was going to buy a cheap runaround for her, but now I am thinking of a mobile valet van. Or buying a van and turning it into one, put a wee kit on it to make it stand out. Should be a good investment on my behalf, there is only 1 mobile valet van that I know of where I work and he charges about £25 for a basic valet. Dave G
  22. What it probably means is drive around the last part of your journey without using your turbo, ie driving slow. Depending on how you have driven the car should indicate how long you should need to go easy on her. I typically take the first 10 minutes easy (or first couple of miles) meaning that I dont use the turbo until the engine is fully heated up etc. Then do similiar at the end. Apparently sitting idle isnt as good as allowing to cool back down itself. HTH Dave G
  23. Not been home to fit them yet. I will set aside all day on the following Saturday I think to do it. Take my time and do it properly. Next on the list after that is the boot install. But I can make templates in Dundee and take them up here and make the boxes, cover and get the speakers all plumbed in and ready to simply be connected up. Im going to ask a post about rear speakers or 6x9s, probably an abvious answer though. Dave G
  24. Ill swap you all that for my tweed interior plus a pint.
  25. I like that, something I will be aiming to do. Dave G
