peugeot to ferrari!!
How could people justify doing a car like that though. I have always toyed with doing a ferrari replica and some others, but in the end of the day someone asks you: Them: "what car you got" You: "I have a ferrari" or "I have a peugot 406 turned into a ferrari" First one sounds cool, but obviously lying and the second shows you are crazy and would even think of doing it. Just my opinion though. Buy a car for what it is!

peugeot to ferrari!!
Another way is look inside, very easy to tell that way. Other than that proportions and mostly bits on the rear allow ease of telling.

what car?
I would say the focus, but not in the orange. When we were looking at new cars we were deciding on getting one of the 2 of those, finally decided on the Civic Type R. But the end result was get 2 cars, a C2 VTS for her and the Z for the both of us, ahem, me!! I personally think buying a new car is a waste of time. Did it, done it, never again. Think of the typical depreciation curve. If I was you, save the money from a new car and get a Civic Type-R which is a couple of years old. Much more reliable, IMO doesnt look as good as both of those. Goodluck Dave G

peugeot to ferrari!!
I like the 2 seater conversion. £600 for removing back seats?? Does look good though, but my eye is untrained. Me being a mr2 owner previously, there was always a debate whether you could tell the difference between a real and a fake 355. Some are very obvious and some are very and I mean very hard to tell. Il go find a link for a good one. Dave G

Boost Help needed
OK back again. Forgot to mention, I hear and feel a buzz coming from the ECU on start up sometimes what is that?? Usualy only lasts a second or so but that last time I started it was 3 seconds. Oh BTW when it says harness and connector, does that mean the one at the ECU or is it another? Thanks, Dave G

NZR just put a depost on this
I love going out on my road bike. Done the wrong thing of buying a mountain bike then 2 weeks later getting a Giant OCR. Never use my mountain bike now, went out on it once, done 8 miles and decided, fook me I cant do it like when I was younger. Use the road bike for work sometimes. 9 miles each way, means dont need to go to the gym. Give me a shout when you come up to Scotland, I may come out with you. I am a beginner though with a rubbish moutain bike. Only £200 for mines. Where do you usually go up here?? Dave G

How cool is this
Me and some of my mates meet up in an indoor car park and race them sometimes. I thought it was sad the first tie but we got hooked. They al have quality cars and mines is slow as hell. M8s 4x4 BMW nitro is amazing. They have started on the buggies too off road stylee. Lets all race each other. Dave G

G-Tech Results post up..
I tried the Gtech performance meter before. This was on my MR2: First run - 24 bhp Second run - 764 bhp 0-60 - never stopped timing (could be right though, lol) I thought the thing was totally rubbish, ill give it a shot again. More funny that anything else. Dave G

Front mounted or Side mounts?
Surely a FMIC is basically two intercoolers as they have there own "compartments" (if you can call them that) with a more direct inflow compared to the side mount which is slighty more restricted?? I have no experience with any of them but as it is 1 FMIC which is basically 2, doesnt it just do the exact same job as a SM but with size and location being different?? I have always wanted an FMIC but I think I will stick to the SM and save money when upgrading to a SM for the Z. Dave G

Targa Seals
Just bought some black silicone stuff. I will see how I get on tomorrow, I can see the plug hole, but how can I clean it out cos no doubt it will be like a homeless mans mouth. Dont think me puring water would work, probably soak the recently dried out interior again  . But seriously though I will do that sometime tomorrow as I will be fitting the leather and A-pillar pod and all guages on the next weekend I am home, so dont want to f**k all of that up and have to get new ones  . Keep me updated on how you guys get on. Thanks, Dave G

Big Thanks to Dave G !
LOL no problem Legrath, sorry I wasnt more social, think I spent more time in the toilet than talking to you. The whole day was an adventure, 23.5 hours continuous driving, 1400 miles, 5 tins of red bull, 1 x 12" margherita pizza, 1 x Donner kebab, 1 x burger, 3 x cheese sandwiches (GF made them and there wa more butter than cheese :hurl: ). But out of that there was 3 hours of stops minimum to which there was an hour sleep in hotel VW Caddy, while I let the GF drive before I crashed off the road, stopping always makes a difference before anyone else wants to do something so silly  . Before some clever clogs works it out, only averaging 60mph including stops (or 70 not including stops). So not too much speeding tried to stick to 80-85, and no flashies!!! :nana2: PS, seen my mate on the way back. An hour and a half to spare and he owes me a big wet one, no dirty references please, lol. Dave G

What harness and connector does it talk about, the one for the ECU?? Also where is the engine coolant temperature sensor? As for 21, it has a replaced and working PTU inplace so surely this isnt the problem. Sounds to me that the harness isnt connected up very well even though if it is the ECU connector, I checked it loads of times when replacing it

Targa Seals
OK I am a very picky guy when it comes to my cars. I always want everything to be spot on. The targa seals were leaking a tiny spot of water now and again on the passengers side. I then replaced the seals up and around the targa seals with new ones from Andy Z from SuperCar Parts. Noticed that when I went to the car wash etc there was a lot more water coming through than before, but I just assumed that it was my fitting of the seals. After looking at the seals it is my fault I think and need some sort of glue come sealant stuff to help stick down the trim to the body as it is slighty raised in parts which caused the leakage. Now I will have to spend all day tomorrow fixing the seals then getting the hairdryer into it as the drivers seat is soaking along with both foot wells :( . I always look forward to getting home to see the car and all I have had this year is slight niggly problems which irritate me as I like eveything perfect!!! :smash: Anyway, can anyone suggest the sealant stuff I am talking about??? TIA, Dave G

OK done the diagnostic and codes 13 and 21 are coming up. I also done a check on the o2 sensors and the left one is not working right. Where can I buy the o2 sensors from and how much are they?? Also does codes 13 and 21 occur when the o2 sensor is like that or is it something else? TIA, Dave G

anyone driving past dundee
Sounds like homers for lorry drivers to me. Little bit on the side, nothing wrong with that if it is true. Everyone should have a wee sideline for money. Just a shame noone wants Engineers for jobs around the home  , could be cause we charge too much  Dave G

interior trim
I mean, doing it yourself you will be around £100 from what I can gather, if you have to buy all materials. On top of that you have to spend what 10 hours minimum. I will be doing it soon, but going for Zcentre kit. Good company and is all the hassle worth £100 and a days work?? I would prefer to do it right in the first place, even though my mum is a professional sewing machinist which would save me the hassle of perfect fitting. Would still like to see some pics from the Zcentres kit. Dave g
