  1. MOT for J300 SWB is tomorrow at 4PM!!
  2. Update:) I eventually found the little adjuster screw which was hidden by bits of foam / fluff and proceeded to slacken off then tighten whilst listening... now fan is running but you cannot hear it unless you put your ear right up close, so all resolved, thanks for the input?
  3. After some thought I have decided to go more for the OEM look and want to replace my current tailgate which has a lip spoiler moulded in, so looking for a clean SWB tailgate. Can trade my current tailgate if wanted? (see profile picture), Thanks Lee
  4. Thanks, will give it a try, hopefully that cures it it?
  5. Probably is full of fluff as the Z had been of the road for 5 years now.... will give it a good clean as it noticeably loud and irritating as soon as the ignition is on!
  6. So i've just got a noisy one!:)
  7. Thought it was the speakers in the Z but finally traced it to the overhead console with the 2 interior light buttons Is this a type of fan / ventilation system that is making the noise?
  8. Thanks, will order it from Luke at the Z Centre if it's £40/£50 odd
  9. Hi Jimmer, yes re the dash pods definitely makes sense to buy new, but it was quite funny how the pod just fell to pieces after a minor collision with my knee!
  10. I would say applicable to both, but it's usually the front one that most of us want a sleek plate that is usually the cause for concern on terms of legality
  11. I managed to demolish the right side pod the other day myself! Was rushing around and banged my knee right onto the pod, all 4 mounting points just crumbled it was surprising how brittle it was, currently taped up with 3M tape!!
  12. Need a few minor bits and pieces including dash pods and some boot trim? Also looking for a set of headlights to "chrome" whilst I leave the current set on the car...
  13. Thanks Andrew, I still have the OE rods and will check if the bushes are fine to use as they are. The Driftworks ones are so stiff that even going over a regular speed hump feels "crashy" and definitely not suited for a road car
  14. A few years ago I installed some Driftworks pillowball tension rods thinking it would improve handling etc, the result was not what I expected, ie a very firm ride over road bumps which ruined the driving experience. I now want to go back to OEM but perhaps with polybushed tension rods? What are people's experience with upgraded bushing vs OE?
  15. Looking good, atleast it won't be a huge disappointment like the new Supra
  16. Hi Joel, all is well thanks, been meaning to get the old girl MOT'd! but I knew it would fail with the 12x3 one at the moment! Thanks for the info, good to know where you stand on that and I will probably keep the info in the glovebox as well!
  17. Thanks, what I was more concerned with was the character size/height of the actual fonts because my current plate is too small to pass the MOT!
  18. I have searched the forum but couldn't quite find the answer... so can someone advise what is the smallest but legal character size that I can use for the front number plate on a JDM vehicle? Thanks
  19. The Speciality Z flywheel looks like a very nice piece of kit!!
  20. Like the video:) in the video saw lots of ZX's that I recognise, out of interest I noticed a blue ZX with a Signature bodykit reg G269 EJH - Who own's this ZX now?
  21. I put Millers Nanodrive CFS 5w40 NT+, car has never run so well... This is what Opie suggested, and was really pleased with the results
  22. Hi Naz, if the 15mm spacers you have are surplus to requirements, please let me know as tempted to try them on my car, the offset is not great as the front wheels look a bit sunken in the arches. Obviously will pay a fair price etc...
  23. That's good, running spacers is fine, but I think if you're buying brand news wheels makes obvious sense to buy with the right offsett!!
  24. Are you using spacers as well?
  25. Suit the car much better than the dark Veilside rims, JR rims get good reviews so you made a great choice??
