  1. Yes does look like there will be issues... but the failures do not look drastic, sill corrosion would be the my main concern
  2. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/876271189686546/?ref=facebook_story_share Looks like a SWB Targa...
  3. That's a great endorsement! 10+ years and still going! can't ask for better than that?
  4. I think there is a lot of people out there who don't realise how dangerous HID glare can be from cars that shouldn't have them... At the moment my Zed is running HID's but they were budget chinese ones that I bought for about £20 from a company in Slough, (A & E Tradung), they do a lot of parking sensors and electronic stuff, so will be good to see how the HIDS4U HID's compare!!?
  5. Ended up buying these with the 5000K option... will update once fitted:)
  6. Sometimes you need a lot of will to keep going! I once bought a nice VW Beetle 1970 model, stripped it down and never finished it... ended up being scrapped? I like the subtleness of the engine bay, not too blingy etc... your project is inspiration for those who have let their Zed's, (like me?), just sit around for too long and not finish off bits and pieces!
  7. You can see the hours of workmasnship that has gone into that car, engine bay looks exceptionally clean!?
  8. Yes the 5500K does look a purer white... I think I will wait till they are back in stock at hids4u.co.uk? Also just back on the whole issue of HID's in general... if a headlight like the ZX which has a projector lens then aftermarket HID's should work well as opposed to a headlight that has a non-projector lens and should not really have aftermarket HID's fitted.
  9. Is there much difference worth worrying about? Hids4u.co.uk have the H1 6500K in stock for the ZX but not the 5500K, the 6500K will supposedly have a blue tinge whereas the 5500K will be a purer white?
  10. OE tension rods now put back, ride is definitely smoother over the bumps but still firm because it has Bilstein shocks with lowered springs, but overall has definitely taken the harshness over the bumps!
  11. That sounds very positive, I plan to do this in about 6 months because I only just got the ZX back on the road after some time. We have a press in our garage so hopefully will be able to do them all at the same time; Thanks?
  12. Excellent info Naz, what bushes were not available by Nismo and have you now managed to change all the suspension bushes?
  13. Update! found my old tension rods which were safely tucked away under my "ZX stuff", hopefully this restores the "softness" to the car as I remember it before I installed the Driftworks tension rods?
  14. I forgot to update this post!... so I had the front plate made with 65mm text, not sure about the width... MOT tester didn't even seem to notice or quizz me, even though the number plate looks small (ish)
  15. Gary must have one of the most radiant red ZX's anywhere!!?
  16. Plus there will only be a percentage of people that can machine polish their own cars and then ceramic coat them... I will definitely be having a go at this?
  17. Especially noticeable in first and second gear I am getting a clear turbo boost sound which is audible through the centre vent?? Has anyone else experienced this and what was thd cause? Also what may be a coincidence or connected is that I have a Greddy boost controller installed below the stereo... so potentially I could have a vacuum hose behind the stereo area that is leaking as boost pressure builds?
  18. Good info guys?, will probably try that wheel coating as well because hate what brake dust can do to the barrells of alloys if not cleaned regularly
  19. Surprisingly went straight through, didn't advise me on anything, quite pleased because J300 SWB has been off the road for long enough!!
  20. The reviews look pretty good?
  21. Thanks, keep this thread updated with how it performs over a length of time, because at £80 it seems very cheap compared to what the pro detailers charge
  22. Wow that looks nice, what ceramic coating dud you use?
  23. Fast forward to 2021 and ceramic coating is the new craze, so many company's popping up offering this type of protection, the results can be fantastic but expect to pay £600+!!
