  5. Mine used to do that, I've elimenated everything and now down to changing the oil pump, lol.
  6. sc8a05 LH1. LH1 is jap for two rubber seals. Searched the net and also got B8-85. Tried through work, thing he phoned henderson bearings and they couldnt help, but I never had the B8-85 to give them at the time.
  7. Im going A plan next time. Everyone seems to rate them now.
  8. Anyone changed them before? Front ones not a prob, its a standard bearing and easily avalible. But the rear bearing isnt that easy. Its specifically made for alternators. Just wondered if anyone has done these before and got hold of them.
  9. There was a little wear here and there, but not as much as I was hoping for!!! Lets jsut hope that was the problem. Im not too worried about the crank, only thing that went through my mind was, if that wasnt done, what else wasnt done that he said was done.

  12. Its one of the things done to the engine while it was rebuilt. Had 3.1 bore, pistons, rods and the crank knife edged. Im really sure I would have noticed the knife edges. I did have a good look cause I've never seen one before, just read what its spose to be like. All done by a previous owner.

  14. Thats some shiney s**t!!!!!!!! I want mine looking like that!!! How many times can that clay bar be used? It is a case of wipe a bit and chuck? Guess you can peal the dirty stuff off and kep using it?
  15. Hmmmmmmmmm, seems like its not a knife edge crank then, eventhough its spose to be.
  16. Thats what I thought it was, but when I had my sump off yesturday mine didnt look anything like that, unless I was looking at the back edges and not the front edges. DOH!
  17. I thought I knew what this ment, but from looking at mine it doesnt look like what I thought. Can someone explain what they are and what they should look like, lol.
  18. Change the oil pump with the engine in!! It took about 11 hours all together and was so annoying!!!! Never wanna do that job again and really hope its the problem when I fire her up.
  19. Mine cost £2000 to do all the suite, tiles, paint etc...
  20. I've never had a problem from just filling up and driving and checking it about 3 or 4 times after, top up, and its fine?

  23. Need to hold the engine up to drop the front subframe, so I can get the sump out the way yo do the oil pump, lol. Seems a bit of a work up, stupid design. Thats why I need a crane.

  25. Yea, I just read that. The stingray was only scared and protected its self as would any human when they think they are in trouble.
