You would burn lots of shoe off. I dont think you'd warp the disc as the shoes are inside the hub of the disc. here

The stock gauge hardly moves at all from cold, so that was worrying. (i know they are unreliable though) I know its been like it all the time you had it, but dont want it failing. Id rather put in a new oil pump for a little bit of money than have to rebuild a whole (sorted) engine! Im 99% sure its that.

I just done the cam belt and tensioners as we thought that was the noise!! Water pump done 2 years ago, only done 15,000miles. Not really worth doing? Thanks for all that info!!!!
