  2. Try and remove the fill plug before the drain plug. The last thing you want is an issue with it shearing once you’ve drained all of the oil out!
  3. Not necessarily! [emoji51]

I can’t make that date unfortunately.
  5. Compared to that concept, the 350z was infinitely better aesthetically!
  6. It’s fugly and the very bland, cheap looking interior goes to show the change of the times in Nissans budget, especially as a concept!
  7. Haha gotcha! I missed that one!
  8. Now that is a fantastic idea, great job Ian [emoji106]
  9. You should be able to get 2 and a bit good ones for that!
  10. That slapper file video inspired me to attempt to remove a small dent from my rear quarter. Here is an actual picture of the results so far...
  11. The plastic strip is a self adhesive decal, it’s not something you remove and sell like the perspex strips used with the later or no spoiler cars. Can you not just offer it up without peeling the backing paper off to see how it lines up, Tom?
  12. It doesn’t have the recessed edge for the top of the decal to follow like the OEM spoiler but the dimensions look remarkably similar and I think it uses the stock TBL(?) so I would suggest that it will. I think it’ll certainly improve the look. Although if you’re having any paintwork done, I would recommend having it painted on.
  13. I see in the other thread about a Cat C car that had over 200k on the clock and was for sale at the same time as this one. Clicking on the eBay link for this UK car from that company in 2017 doesn’t give any indication of a Cat C? I’m not saying you’re wrong, I’m just wondering whether anyone has some proof. I’m sure a perspective buyer will carry our their own HPI checks etc but if you have the info available to stop then wasting their time and money, I guess that would help. On the flip side, if it’s not as you suggest, people may be falsely put off by a potentially good car?
  14. I hadn’t seen that, do you have access to that info to share?
  15. Recent MOT history looks ok too with no suggestion of rust!
  16. Haha, yes I have a red one but it’s too long for you! [emoji6] There are still plenty of good cars being sold, my only advice would be to buy the best you can afford. If you see a car you like, inside or outside of the club, feel free to ask members questions about it. There’s a good chance that it either has history that’s known about or there may be a member local that can check it out for you. Good luck with the search dude.
  17. You aren’t alone matey, many folk prefer the 2+0 over the 2+2, we won’t judge your choices here! What sort of budget do you have to find your dream car?
  18. Welcome Dom, a fine choice to get yourself a 300zx. Just to confirm, your search criteria is either an N/A or a twin turbo?
  19. I totally agree, I just have no idea what the fitting involves. I’m guessing that it’s not just a remove and refit hood assembly half an hour job that he could DIY was my angle.
  20. There are many cables that simply aren’t compatible with the ConZult software, have you had this cable working with ConZult previously? Have you tried to use it with other diagnostic software such as Datascan?
  21. Have that company advised why the cost of installation is so high? It suggests to me that it’s quite labour intensive or specialist with specialist tools maybe; it could be one of those jobs that requires heat in the right places whilst laying it up and stretching it to secure it? I would suggest that if Paul can vouch for the quality of the £444 hood, a further £320 bringing the total to less than £800 isn’t actually too bad for a job of that nature that you can look after and enjoy, trouble free for the rest of the cars life.
  22. Happy Birthday RFS Z, hopefully you’ll get a new pair of cool trainers that don’t rub on your toes!
  23. They would not generally cause a “problem” as such, but without the ducts, a large majority of the air may find its way around the outside of the matrix as apposed to flowing through it, resulting in raised intake temps and ultimately less power. I’d say that an unducted larger cooler has little or no benefit over a stock setup with the ducts. I do wonder how much R&D goes into these ducts for the larger coolers though as they all have a significant divergence in the duct immediately prior to the matrix (obviously to clear everything in the area). This has an effect of slowing the airflow velocity down and increasing the pressure at the face of the cooler; I wonder how this compares to the calculations from the OEM with regards to the amount of flow for both intake and cooling air as the characteristics are altered. Also, the negative pressure created by the NACA at the exhaust air side would’ve been tuned by Nissan to produce a specific flow rate at a given pressure, which has now been altered. Getting the air out is just as important as getting the air in but I’ve seen little in the way of research into this side of the coolers. Or maybe I over think things!
