  1. Agreed. The previous wheels were relatively sensible but still waaaay out there!
  2. Here is PhilP's car... Bloody gorgeous, a fine choice of wheel:
  3. C'mon Brian, you know the rules... Where are they?
  4. If you're set on getting that style of wheel (which I think is a good idea) then just go for it and try them on. Springs tend to sag over time, naturally lowering the car, but this situation is not ideal for handling so would be advisable to renew anyway. I would recommend Eibach springs as the most comfortable springs available for the z32 if that's important to you. This guide may help you sussing out the final fitment: http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/350z-wheel-identification-guide.html
  5. Ok, so assuming the ride height is stock and the springs haven't sagged, when you fit 18's it is likely to look a bit like a 4x4! I would recommend accompanying the addition of 18's with lowering springs at the very least. This is likely to change the ride comfort (maybe more so than the wheels) but depending on what you go for it can still be perfectly comfortable. The decreased profile of the tyre wall will further add to this 'change' in ride quality and you should only notice a slight increase in tramlining (due to the increased width) assuming your geometry is all correct. I don't believe it will ruin the ride quality but it will make it more taught, imo the difference in handling and looks makes it very worthwhile. I would suggest, do your research, ask plenty of questions first and choose your parts carefully to suit your needs.
  6. What wheel and suspension setup have you got currently?
  7. They are my favs, Philp has those on his gorgeous black Z that looks similar to this:
  8. You have several options and variants of 350z wheels, some will fit a lot more aggressively than others so be careful what you're choosing. What wheels do you have in mind? https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=300zx+with+350z+wheels&client=safari&hl=en-gb&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=q8kpUpuHKenA7AaD_YGgCg&ved=0CCgQsAQ&biw=320&bih=416
  9. I would avoid cheap eBay camber arms, go for known brands and pay a bit more. I understand Cusco to be a reputable brand, however, I don't believe those arms allow for camber adjustment? Maybe I'm wrong but it certainly doesn't look like they do from the pic. I've never seen replacement arms that aren't adjustable before.
  10. A quote from super poly pro website FAQ regarding harshness, "Due to the unique properties of the raw material and the design techniques used to manufacture SuperPro Polyurethane bushes they will not cause any extra noise, vibration or harshness (NVH) over the standard rubber bushes. This makes them suitable for road cars and race cars a like."

  12. Thanks for the advice guys, some food for thought there. Dougal200 do you have any experience with super poly pro bushes? They stipulate in the sales spiel that they don't have the associated harshness caused by other tyres of poly bushes. They are quite expensive so I don't want to waste money on them for a load of sales lies lol!
  13. Very nice Si, hope you're having a good time :)
  14. I thought this was going to have a happy ending... An ending where you removed the bumper (with a pry bar) and threw all the pieces in the skip!! :p
  15. I thought this thread was football related!
  16. Does anyone have any experience with Energy Suspension rear control arm bushings to advise on the ride quality compared to oem (or equivalent)? I appreciate they will naturally stiffen things up a fair bit after old worn bushings, but the CZP website displays a bold warning that these ES bushes (only on the rear control arms, they're fine everywhere else) make the ride 'harsh' and to go for nismo or oem to maintain any sort of ride quality. Any advice welcomed, cheerZ :)
  17. Happy birthday matey :)
  18. I have 255 tyres on 9.5" wheels, although it tends to depend on the brand as to how wide they come up. So you're now going to have 9.5" wide wheels on the front? Fitting 9.5" wheels on the front will require an accurate offset and will more than likely rub the inner arch on lock. Do you know the exact offset of the wheels and have you tried them on first? It would be a shame to spend money on a refurb to find they don't fit.
