  1. Happy birthday old bean :)
  2. It's quite common for water to get in through the rear screen seal where the water pools in the bottom corners, it could also get in through the wiper seal. I'd carry out a little investigation and make sure it's water tight back there. From underneath, with the tank in the way you'd not see the extent on an mot test and the tester isn't going to start pulling up boot carpets etc.
  3. Happy days dude, I assume you checked all the other key areas for rust?
  4. That looks great :) although you won't be able to see them expensive decals ;)
  5. My V5 shows that it's a Nissan and that's about it!! Haha
  6. I did find it bizarre that Nissan wouldn't serialise such a major component!
  7. Nothing 'local' really unfortunately, you only really have 2 options: 1: Take it to the local butchers and risk coming home with a load of sausages, some pork ribs in tasty sauce, some lemon chicken, a big bill and still having to use option 2... 2: Take it further afield to Zedworld or Powerzed with known experience on the shortfalls on the Z. I would recommend option 2.
  8. Outrageous, that journalist was filming whilst driving, due care and attention?... Mind you, that merc with the bonnet scoop was quite tasty!
  9. agreed +1 ditto what he said yes deffo
  10. Does the car have an aftermarket alarm/immobiliser?
  11. Keith also had a digital setup on his v8 zed that bantumbunny bought. I did have some digital gauges but I can't take the credit for a digital dash in a 300 as I just sold the gauges individually Rolandas, you'll have to speak to him for 'how to' information.
  12. Happy birthday Mikey :)
  13. Happy birthday matey :)
  14. I think the point is you're supposed to tell him 'how' you removed it! ;)
  15. Buy it now 60k, he's giving that away! It must have taken quite a few 50p's to get the arches that round!...
  16. Simple, wd40! Soak the tape residue in wd and lightly rub with a polishing cloth. It won't damage your paint like other cleaning chemicals :)
  17. That happened on the M11 the other day!
  18. They fit lots of vehicles with 2.5" exhaust systems... http://m.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?kw=2.5+exhaust+gasket&epp=24&pgn=1&isNewKw=true&cad=1&acimp=0&cmd=SREF&mfs=KWCLK&so=12&call=1
  19. Good stuff matey, another well earned victory :) congrats

  21. I've done a search through some old posts but I was just wondering what the current consensus was regarding the options/methods available to paint the tailgate. With the seals being so expensive, does anyone have any nifty tips as to the most cost effective method. My painter suggested that if I don't remove the trim to get the paint in and under it, (ie masked off the trim) the lacquer would possibly peel from the edge in the future.
