  1. Not sure if this is any help, it´s an extract from quite a long discussion on fuel pumps from another site: Want to support 600+WHP on a single in tank pump ? Denso Pump + Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump = enough SAFELY to literally DROWN a set of 800cc injectors, even at 20+ PSI of Boost (63+ PSI Line Pressures). Stay under 70 PSI line Prssure (under 27 PSI of Boost). I will be running this type of setup for my own application and will upgrade both fuel feed line (8AN) and all wiring when installing my Kenne Bell BAP, just to be safe and provide a little extra headroom. Being a single pump setup, it will still trigger shutdowns etc and all built in safety measures in case of pump failure and I will not have to risk a lean condition that could blow my motor, say, if I were to run twin pumps. :)
  2. I don´t think so...never come across it, nor seen any mention of it in the workshop manual :/
  3. If it´s of any help I read up on all the tyre brands I could find searching for a good alternative to Falkens as they don´t do 245 /45 /16 over here anymore. I also came across Nexen tyres while researching and if I remember correctly they weren´t much cop.Cheap tyres that were way down the list when compared to the likes of conti, goodyear and Dunlop etc. better than the likes of Nankang, Wanli and GT radial, but still not good. I concluded from all the tests that I read that Tyres are one of the most underrated yet important part of the car , and especially with a performance car they are the one thing you shouldn´t save money on. Just my 2 pence worth Maz :)
  4. darn...same here..not quick enough ahhhh now i understand the last question Doh!

He´s dead * Divide 30 by 1/2 and add 10. What is the answer? 70 * If there are 3 apples and you take away 2, how many do you have? 2 * A doctor gives you three pills telling you to take one every half hour. 6. yeah, they´re not pretty...which is unfortunate as Zagato makes some nice cars
  7. Just out of curiousity,as I can´t really find that much about them online, but am I reading it right that the; 1993 Nissan 300 Bambu and the Nissan 300 Seta are both Zagato bodied 300zx TT´s ? cheers Maz :)
  8. Baz, you´re welcome mate also, try http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/13202.html Repairing the rear hatch lock...I found it very helpful, although admittedly I had to strip the lock down a little more than described but definitely helpful. :)
  9. is this any help ? Testing O2 sensors on the workbench. Use a high impedence DC voltmeter as above. Clamp the sensor in a vice, or use a plier or vice-grip to hold it. Clamp your negative voltmeter lead to the case, and the positive to the output wire. Use a propane torch set to high and the inner blue flame tip to heat the fluted or perforated area of the sensor. You should see a DC voltage of at least 0.6 within 20 seconds. If not, most likely cause is open circuit internally or lead fouling. If OK so far, remove from flame. You should see a drop to under 0.1 volt within 4 seconds. If not likely silicone fouled. If still OK, heat for two full minutes and watch for drops in voltage. Sometimes, the internal connections will open up under heat. This is the same a loose wire and is a failure. If the sensor is OK at this point, and will switch from high to low quickly as you move the flame, the sensor is good. Bear in mind that good or bad is relative, with port fuel injection needing faster information than carbureted systems. ANY O2 sensor that will generate 0.9 volts or more when heated, show 0.1 volts or less within one second of flame removal, AND pass the two minute heat test is good regardless of age. When replacing a sensor, don't miss the opportunity to use the test above on the replacement. This will calibrate your evaluation skills and save you money in the future. There is almost always *no* benefit in replacing an oxygen sensor that will pass the test in the first line of this paragraph. Maz :)
  10. my boot lock didn´t work either but I found that stripping the barrel down , cleaning , realigning and oiling all the parts was easier than i thought, and now the lock mechanism is like new :)
  11. Joel, you´re a star mate..thanks :)
  12. I believe you joel, but what do you call it ? "neoprene piping" for example brings up 0 results in ebay for example :)
  13. Cheers for that mate...that´s probably a better idea, just to slip it over to make it easier when removing the front bumper. Where did you get the hose from ?...i´ve looked all over the place ( here in Germany ) and all I can find is the hard plastic stuff ..that looks far better. cheers Maz
  14. Hey guys For those of you that have air ducts in place of the front fog lamps andalso have a pipe/hose etc connected to them leading to either the intercoolers or front brakes; a: What kind of hose/piping did you use and what diameter was it ( a pic of the type used would be outstanding ) b: how did you connect the hose to the ducts. As always, any help greatly appreciated. Maz
  15. "AND FOR A QUICK SELL I HAVE LOWERED THE START PRICE TO 4999.95 (Taking £500 off)" Starting bid: £5,500.00 huh?
  16. is there any difference other than series 1 alternators were from Hitachi and series 2 from Mitsubishi ? that´s the only difference I´m aware of. :)
  17. have a look in the thread " what´s the rarest thing on your Z" and on page 2 "ANDY93Z" has the same spoiler..and later i nn the thread somewhere it´s mentioned what spoiler it is . :)
  18. problem with the torque converter perhaps ?
  19. "I my oil level is showing maximum is it alright?" you mean maximum as in it´s on the "max mark" of the dipstick and not the gauge is showing max pressure....right ?
  20. Cheers Andy , Now I know :)
  21. "Oh , the 26yr thing....96 was the last year Zs were available in the states" so it was just the final 300 Z´s produced for the states that had the plaque...no difference in Spec or anything ?
  22. I have no idea mate..that´s what it reads on the plaque...i thouth the same, why not 25 years but it deffo says 26 years
  23. Hi Just out of interest, came across a Z (online) with a plaque reading; " Nissan comerates 26 years of the Z car 1970 to 1996 123 of 300 Was it just a plaque they added or are these 300 different in any way ? cheers Maz :)
  24. there was a Z non turbo with LPG conversion for sale on the German ebay last week....but I also saw a documentary about LPG conversions over here and how firms that install them suddenly "disapear" when there are problems with the install. would be nice to only pay 54p a litre for fuel, but then again we knew the nature of the car when we bought it...sports cars aren´t really economy cars :)
