  4. has anyone fitted this ecu to there zed? I know its popular with the eyeliners. Ive been advised that this systen is the best for the money and a guality piece of kit after visiting tdi (torque developments) i know it hasnt got some of the fancy extras like launch control etc but i dont want any of that. What are you views peeps cheers
  5. Hi Steve, My spark plugs are rate 7 im not sure if that is good enough now but i may just keep them for the running in stage. As for the cast flashing i havent touched it as i never new anything could be done to them its abit late now as the main part of the engine work is done now:mad: Im not sure about vents in the bonnet ive seen a lot higher spec zeds without them. But i have bought some heat wrap to wrap the intake pipes up with when they are not on show.
  6. bump Also is there anything else you would advise to help with the performance or reliablity. I was thinking of a spark amplifier etc
  7. Ive been told that the gt28rs can flow 350bhp each! not sure about the gt28 non rollar bearing tho
  8. LOL sorry:hyper:
  9. Could be dry joints on the back of the clocks(spray the board with wd40) Or speed sensor in the gearbox aswell as the converter opps i didnt read the replys very well soz
  10. Hi Topless your right they were my original ported manifolds in that pic;) Feel free to come and have a look at the Zed mate but its still in restoration mode at the moment. But it has come along way since it was a bare shell. Its taking forever to finish this project but ive never done anything like this before. Im leaning as im going along
  11. I bought the same and the Garage told me to get rid of it before they even fitted it.
  12. Thanks guys I didnt think I would gain that amount of power at the wheels. Will I be able to use that sort of power or will it be a wheel spinning mess? Topless what is the prvr system? I think there is a few parts on the list i required off you! The cylider brace is the main source of the power:rofl: Mario Hope your not having any regrets. Shall i ditch the nismo thermostat? Also is there anything else you would advise to help with the performance or reliablity. I was thinking of a spark amplifier etc These are the only up to date pics i have of the engine since its been at the Garage. This is before I sent the rest of the parts I bought from Mario and Z1 Thanx for your help as ive only managed to get this far with the build with everyones help on the site and plenty of research. Regards Dan

  14. hi smithy ill be ditching the maf and going the stand alone ecu route. Is that at the fly?
  15. Hi all, My engine is nearly complete ;) Ive been wondering what sort of power i will achieve, Ive had a few guesses from a few mates with modded cars but none of them are Zeds. Im hoping a few people on here who know there stuff may have some sort of idea. My link is below for my mods. Kind regards Dan
  16. What are the DBA5000 like? Are they much different from the 4000
  17. Love it lol
  18. No mate i would change it a.s.a.p as the oil cooler is a weak point on the Auto gearbox anyway without higher boost;)
  19. £1100 fully comp mods declaired with protected no claims. Oh yea and drive anyones car aswell aslong as they are insured! A-Plan:dance:
  20. :cry:I still havent fitted mine yet
  21. Thats what i done with my sat nav:) This is the only pic i have at the moment. I wanted it to look as standard as possible in the car as if it was ment to be there. So i made the air duct hole the same size as my sat nav screen so the screen is all you see with a sloped angle on 1 side so the screen is easier to see from the driving position.
  22. Very nice wheels look great:hyper:
  23. I managed to get 2 personal number plates for £200 I was working on my Zed at my unit today which is coming on well now;) When the guy in the unit next to me who rents the unit out to work on his banger racing cars asked if i wanted to buy a personal plate. I wasnt to interested as i like my plate on my zed already BST 1 32B meaning Best 32 or Best 1 32. 32 meaning z32. Anyway he had bought an old Escort to race which had a plate reading B16 HP R (BIG HORSEPOWER) After some thinking I thought it would be good to change the plate as ive done so much to the car now i want it all to be different for when i get her back on the road. So i asked him how much guessing he was going to say £500/600 quid atleast. To my surprise he said £150 so i snapped his hand off. While he was handing over the documents for the plate i noticed he had a Fiesta with GI88 XHR Which is great for me as my surname is Gibbson and my nick name is Gibb. After some negotiation we came to deal for £200 for the both of them:) I cant believe it they must be worth alot more than that. Now ive got to decide which 1 to put on my Zed?
