Cambelt question.
Also the thermostat and possibly waterpump could do with replacing if they're original.

Prop shaft UJ
Actually just thought, you can't really buy a section of the prop as it won't be balanced so probably has to be the whole prop.

Making some changes?
Perhaps if you ask Daz nicely enough... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?174388-Bit-of-progress&p=1806698&viewfull=1#post1806698 Perhaps without the custom exhaust jobbies but whatever floats your boat... Overall one of my favorite custom bumpers [emoji3]

Yes Sir! http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?215-Zed-related-Parts Is it the front or rear portion you need? Sounds good, I'll look forward to them.

Hi mate, IMO you're best buying that section of the prop. What is it lwb/swb, auto/manual, na/tt. Also any pics of you're car and what it's all about? Ali

Potential business expansion... potential Zed sale...?
To be honest, I hadn't had the faintest idea where you work, nor did I care. For me I look at the result I can expect and the price it will cost. Well maybe if you've got the choice between a GTR or a supercharged Jag as a daily driver ;), I might be a hesitant if you work in your bedroom, but nowhere does it advertise that you work in your house? It doesn't even say that you work on your own.

Potential business expansion... potential Zed sale...?
I think you already know the answer you're going to get on here. You're going to bloody regret it if you do. I would say try not to halt your business expanding by not selling the zed, but if you're business expanding is your future, I guess that is more important than a car to you?

Larger intercooler issue
It would help the passenger side definitely, but from what I recall you have to reroute some pipes for the fuel tank breather? Someone could probably clarify. Removing the overflow tank wouldnt really help as it's behind the intercooler and not in the way too much. For the drivers side just loosen the hoses and make it as bloody tight as you can to the body. I used a jack on the bottom of mine to lift it up to get the brackets on tight.

Larger intercooler issue
I don't know how you mounted it but I custom made brackets and had to make them really right to pull the intercoolers away from the bumper.
-
Larger intercooler issue
I'm just going on the possibility that it could and that the bumper may be mounted very slightly differently/tightly. Only you can really check to see if they are touching and a problem, is it going to cost you a lot to respray/blend that section in?

Larger intercooler issue
Did they take the bumper off to paint it? If it is touching take the bumper off and try your best to reposition them.

Fixings
Either put a random screw of the right size in there as it is out of sight and can easily get ahold of, or get used ones, I'm sure Baz will have some of the gold screws for the steering wheel trim.

The N/A rear!
Sounds like a good deal, but reading through lots of old threads I think I will stick with the locking collars as the old bushings sound like the biggest pita to get out. Thanks.

The Carbon Fibre Thread
Yeah one of our teachers was a designer at jaguar land rover, but I lost respect for him when I said I should get rid of my orange lensed indicators for clears and he said keep them because it's an old car and its part of the dated style... Anyway, off topic

The Carbon Fibre Thread
Can I come to your school [emoji38] This is the design I am doing for my A level project as a centre console Either out of carbon fibre or fibreglass, whichever one f**ks up the least lol

The Carbon Fibre Thread
I agree, iirc the finished result should have a thin layer or resin over top so it is completely flat and can be buffed a bit to create that smooth finish. If you have uneven carbon that can't really happen. Correct me if I'm wrong :innocent:

Considering Evo or Auto
I believe he has it when I read his other thread. He says he got too much wheelspin even with it, which was partly shoddy tires, and partly he said it was him flooring it after the clutch released so the max torque overcame the grip in that gear. So he needs practice imo. Getting an evo will not magically make you run 12s. I think you need to make your mind up between a reliable weekend driver and trying to get quick drag times.

The N/A rear!
How much did all the powdercoating cost you, and where did you buy the bushes from. Thanks Saw something where just changing the rear end to the na diff increased the 0-60 by .5 second on a stock TT. They got a 4.7s 0-60gps.

Rear calipers bolt washers
I do remember there being washers on there, just buy some from B&Q or something.

New Member SWB TT targa (trancemandans old car)
Nice to hear you got it in the end and are happy with it. The cam-belt really isn't a huge job if you know what you're doing, but still takes a while. Fixing the heater seems like the big job to me, its probably one of the flaps stuck, or loose connection or bad heater control unit, but all of which kind of require the dash to be removed. Someone might know a fix but to me getting the central climate blower box out is a huge PITA. Look forward for any updates and let us know if you need any advice with doing anything.

Prices going up slightly
In the Q&A he says its running a base map to run in at the moment, but he is assured that it can make between 600-800, where the turbos will max out at 800. So no it doesn't make 800hp, at least in its current state.

What did you do to your zed today?
It's a fairly common problem, Jeff will probably know the fix but have a look to see if the catch has bent at all because it's a fairly thin metal.

SWB legroom
Pretty much, is the headroom alright for you? The swb roof slopes down slightly towards the end of the targas
