Supra Anyone ?
God that is horrible IMO  I dont really like the Supra as standard too much but that has completely ruined it!! I bet there are Supra owners everywhere in shock!! I suppose if you dont like the supra & want something that looks vaguely like a bently from the front then this is for you!

Do you have a UK or JDM?

Upper Link Adjustable Camber Arms
Not really a how to thread but I posted these when I done mine (god, was it really back in 2005 LOL!): Review: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=44302 Wheel alignment showing installation: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=43972 The top arms just unbolt with the bracket mounted to the vehicle frame, unbolt the inner bolt from the bracket - adjust the new arm to the same length as the old standard arm (pass the bolts through the old arm bolt holes & line up with the new adjustable arm) Then fit the arms to the brackets & mount back on the car. The vehicle then needs a wheel alignment to set the suspension angles up. HTH :)

Permanent removal of expansion tank
Not really checked specifically on my zed but expansion tanks usually have the overflow pipe running down inside the expansion bottle that has coolant in - as the coolant expands it flows into the expansion bottle, as it cools & contracts it gets sucked back into the radiator. HTH :)

conzult prices, and where to buy?
I got mine direct from datascan: http://www.nissandatascan.com/ but mine is a paid for version that I just bought from blazt :) not actually had a chance to test it yet as still waiting for the lead!

conzult prices, and where to buy?
Just to let you all know I have just downloaded the latest datascan software (1.6) which now also includes hicas diagnostics :)

scuttle spray....
I had mine sprayed satin black as preferred it to the grey - think it looks a little more modern in black IMO :)

Just ordered Blazt cable & datascan myself - could you pm me details as well so I can check out the other software :)

I`m gonna do a brake test any ideas?
But that is no different to the ABS having to cope with different forces & from wheels that lock up quickly in slippery conditions at low braking forces or in real good grip situations with high forces! regardless it is still just looking at the wheel speed signal as a reference to holding pressure then reducing pressure then alowing pressure again. I still think this is being over complicated!! Especially when there are many real world examples with no issues!! I have looked into this & Mercedes use the same ABS control unit for vehicles with the exact same software regardless of brake size!! This would not make sense & the ECU would differ if having larger brakes had a negative effect on the braking system!

I`m gonna do a brake test any ideas?
LOL!! I agree bud, just wondering where this theory comes from as I cant see how on earth it would make a difference!!! You have K sport 8 pots all round dont you?! must take you 500 meters to stop at 30mph!! :whistling:

I still dont see the difference! "a vehicle running larger brakes does not have the same pressure-torque characteristics as the stock system" what pressure-torque characteristic are you referring to?? The pressure in the system is going to be the same as the master cylinder is producing the initial pressure & then the ABS pump takes over to control hydraulic pressure to each individual brake. Torque?! torque is a turning force, presumibly you mean at the brake itself - the ABS system does not see any torque, just the speed from the WSS. So still do not really see how it can effect anything?! :wack:

I`m gonna do a brake test any ideas?
Ok - this has been bounced around a while but I really do not understand how this comes about. With regards to the ABS cutting in: regardless of stock braking or not the ABS system does not look at braking force, line pressure or vehicle decelleration - it has no way of measuring these so do not see how it can get "confused" The ABS control unit looks at wheel speed signals - when it sees a wheel approaching lock up (even before lock occurs) it does not shut off pressure - the first stage of ABS is to hold the pressure - so whatever pressure is in the system will be held to see if that wheel will actually lock, if it does not then you would not even be aware at this stage that ABS has "cut in". If it does go on to detect lock then it will reduce whatever pressure (it does not know how much!) by opening the return valve & pumping the fluid back out of the system - it then goes into a closed loop mode to repeat as required. Think of it this way - in a worse case scenario when it is cold & heavy rain on the road then the wheel could lock up instantaneously (sp?!) regardless of stock brakes or upgraded - if the ABS system can cope with this (which is what it was designed for) then I cannot see how it would have a problem during times of increased grip with greater forces! Perhaps I'm missing something but from what I have seen people seem to over complicate how they think ABS works LOL! Anyway - my system works wonders!! :whistling:

I`m gonna do a brake test any ideas?
LOL! Well in all my experience I cant agree with that! Mercedes fit sport pack brakes as an option to most of their range - braking is much improved! There would be absolutely no need for manufacturers to fit increased sized brakes - the AMG range have huge brakes compared to the base models & a massive increase in braking performance!! ABS is looking for wheel lock up based on the wheel speed sensor. I am not really sure where you are coming from on this one!

I`m gonna do a brake test any ideas?
Well, yes and no. It is true that friction between the tyre & the road has a great impact on braking but a braking system that can give greater braking effort will of course absorb the energy quicker allowing the vehicle to stop quicker. There will be a period of time where the energy needs to be absorbed way before the wheel will lock up given good tyres & road surface.

I`m gonna do a brake test any ideas?
LOL! I actually just carried out a before & after test the other day when I upgraded to my brembos! Before: After: brakes were cold at both tests & not bedded in for the after results but gives you some idea of braking force increase! :)
