  1. welcome back bud :)
  2. Hi Darren, Im here: http://www.vikingscanterbury.co.uk/contact.htm - you can email me at paul.crew@mercedes.co.uk :)
  3. Hi Darren, Here goes:- 1 - if the suspension compressor is actuating with STAR diagonsis & pumping it up but it is dropping low at the front then the most common problem is the top strut mounts leaking - if you can get it to pump up using the raise suspension switch in the car then spray some soapy water (high tech procedure here!) arount the strut top under the bonnet & see if you see bubbles forming. Usually it will show up more if you jack the front of the car up so the suspension is hanging. If this is the case then there is a repair kit to replace the strut top mounts in situ. A special tool is required however to fit these. 2 - EPC warnings could be down to anything in the engine system, common problems are turbo boost pressure related. Too high pressure is caused by the turbo itself (sticking actuator) & low pressure can be caused by anything from air leaks to blocked cats - look for soot around the cat joints & smokey black headlamps where they get filled up by exhaust gas! EGR faults & MAF faults are also common. Any idea on what codes are stored? 3 - PSE pumps are common failures for this & if the fuse is blowing its usually because the pump is worn & drawing too much current. You may be able to get yours repaired at BBA Reman: http://www.bba-reman.com/content.aspx?content=mercedes_central_locking_vacuum_pump 4 - The anti perforation warranty is 30 years - however, nearly all (infact all LOL) cases of corrosion are NOT perforation (ie - inside of the panel out) but are usually a result of poor sealing and/or stone chips which then corrode up. This is only covered for 7 years on the dot & Mercedes will not usually shift on this! If you want to bring it down to me you are more than welcome :) Let me know if I can help further. Paul
  4. a recharge canister is really only any good if the AC is working but is low on gas - if the AC is not cooling at all & it is out of gas then the system needs to be vacuumed first prior to charging with gas :)
  5. they are tucked down the inner wing just in front of the battery area IIRC :)
  6. This was posted before - I think I was one of the only people that liked it LOL!
  7. Im not a fan of black wheels anyway but if you want to stay dark have you looked at black chrome effect wheels? :)
  8. LOL! another my car is better than your car thread! To be honest to say a 2+2 is not a true sports car is rediculous - one of the most iconic, longest running sports cars ever (not that I like them LOL!) - the Porsche 911 is a 2+2! And to be honest although the SWB may be a 2 seater there are still loads of auto versions (not overly sporty IMO) & NA versions (really?! - get a TT!!) out there. Face it - people love what they have & thats just fine whatever zed you have (unless you have a SWB auto NA :tongue_smilie:) The LWB always had reports of being more stable due to the increase in wheel base I thought anyway :shifty:
  9. only one problem: [ 0 bids ] LOL! :tt2:
  10. LOL! speedy! My first was a 14,400 modem then got a 28,800! 56k was the nuts back then when that came out :punk: 0.5 meg broadband seemed like the most awesome thing ever when I got it
  11. I say buy it & give me your sidemounts!
  12. LOL! no - I work for Mercedes! Just thought I would share as I seem to be getting obsessed with all the cashback I keep getting LOL! :detective: Got everyone at work signed up to it now!

  14. For those that do not know Quidco is a website that pays you cashback for shopping on many online stores & now in highstreet stores too! I have had nearly £400 back from them now - my girlfriend just got a new contract phone for her & one for her daughter with £50 each contract cashback through quidco! Click here for details: Quidco Does anyone else use this? Loads of online stores through them!
  15. I got my new Alpine head unit from Halfords - much cheaper than anywhere alse at £99 on special offer - has full ipod control! Also quidco do in store cashback with halfords so got a few quid coming back too ;) See the link at the bottom of my sig for details!! :)
  16. LPG limits are much higher for MOT purposes but you must let the tester know you are running on gas when you turn up - the vehicle needs to be tested with the fuel type as presented. Heres the flow chart: So if you go along to fuel type gas - then LPG you will see the typical non cat test limits are applied. In my experience Mercs running non standard exhaust sound like shite unless they are using real expensive systems like Brabus or Carlsson! it completely changes them - the AMG's use higher flowing cats anyway. Has the cat fractured? Often they split around the weld & you may be able to weld it back up again. Paul
  17. I asked this the other day - only one reply: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=149222
  18. Check out the link in my sig for my car with the same problem. It was off the road for a long time while I tried to decide if I should break her - in the end I decided to spend the money on mine as I knew the history etc of the poor old girl. Looks fantastic now IMO! :) It wasnt cheap but was worth it from my point of view!
  19. ps - he can also do K-sports for £870 on a GB too. The thread also shows a thundering brembo "bigfoot" upgrade - sadly he says they will not fit our cars due to the hub mounting points being slightly different & not enough clearence so ignore those (sadly as they look bloody fantastic!)
  20. I did look at this option but the problem is most of these calipers are getting on a bit now & by the time you allow for a rebuild & a set of decent pads & discs you are looking at the cost of a new brake kit!! I think they are quite overpriced for a second hand pair of calipers!
  21. Hi, I have been looking at different options for brake kits & do not really want to spend the sort of costs of the K Sport / D2 kits as will only be using it on the road & have found a trader doing Wilwood calipers with Brembo discs & fittings who is a trader on SXOC He has a range of options of brake upgrades & has recently done a group buy on SXOC & can supply kits for the Z32 at a similar price if we can do a GB on here. Heres the thread on SXOC: http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=489807 Any thoughts on if we can try to set this up?! :) Paul
  22. could check on monday for you when Im back at work if thats any good to you? send me an email at work to paul.crew@mercedes.co.uk to remind me if you dont get a price before :)
