  4. its fine if you stick Merc horns on it  30 is a little too thin for my liking too - I have always used Mobil 5W40 or 0W40
  5. ...............that you need a new zed & a new woman!!
  6. For MOT purposes from the testers manual: Vehicles first registered before 1 January 1973 may have registration plates displaying white, grey or silver characters on a black background.
  7. LOL! even with the poor values of zeds now days I dont suppose many owners have scrapped them just because of a knackered starter motor!!
  8. LOL! Fit 2 or 3 cats to really increase your torque!! besides bhp = torque X rpm/5252 so the 2 are linked anyway!
  9. probably not a real representation - there was loads of bots posting spam back then!

  13. the iphone 5 is rumered to be out june this year - just in time for my upgrade! :thumbup1:
  14. Its going to depend on so many variables - injectors, turbo size/type, mapping, engine build etc. Also remember the US ratings is not comparable to our ratings
  15. We stayed here last time: http://www.mystic-dunes-resort.com/ Was a great place & got a really good deal from http://www.onthebeach.co.uk
  16. Nah - best ever for me is the Matrix government lobby scene: :2guns::gunsmilie::gun_bandana::death:
  17. Bit old hat now mate - handling is not too great & as said earlier corrosion is an issue on the 208. 209's are much better, especially the later facelift ones. Suspensions a bit of a weak point so if youre looking at one get it up in the air to check springs, bushes, ball joints etc Give us a shout if you are looking at one & will give you a check list LOL!
  18. The early CLK (208) was based on the early C Class (202) running gear. The newer CLK (209) is based on the later C Class (203) Later ones are much better ;)
  19. LOL - not anywhere the same as how bad Fiats were! I know, I worked for Lancia in the 80's! oh, & the CLK is based on the W202 C Class not the W210 E class :smartass: They can be quite bad I agree!!
  20. Totally agree - the iphone just works so well. Pepole seem to hate apple for some reason but after using one for so long its hard to think I would ever switch to anything else now!
  21. Hiya bud - just seen it & mailed tony :)
  22. Plenty of people like that ripping customers off. I remember a guy that came into us with a classic old Mercedes convertable, had his car restored & bodywork was amazing. He had the engine rebuilt by a "specialist" & had travelled down to our way as he was on his way to the Canne Film Festival (he was a movie director). Got to us & the engine was knocking badly. He left it with us & I stripped the engine down & cofirmed the big end shells were trashed along with the crank. Whoever had rebuilt it had just randomly fitted the end caps to various con rods LOL!! The shells had spun & trashed the journals!! They had even marked the caps themselves to identify them & fitted them all over the place!! Guess the apprentice had a go at rebuilding it that day LOL! We get all sorts of repairs coming in to us to be fixed properly!! Yesterday had a front strut where the fixing to hold the strut top on was just cross threaded half way down & came in with a knocking noise!
  23. 22mm from memory - should be able to get one from Halfords or motor factors that sell tools, Snap-On dealer, MAC tools etc etc
