  1. Ah crap - I wondered why it was such hard work! LOL! My engine is running quite sweet actually! My turbos were smoking before I took it off the road but after 2 years of standing they dont appear to be smoking at all anymore!! bought a freshly built engine with uprated tubs, injectors etc sitting at home waiting to go in
  2. 2 weeks to go until I'm off to the Maldives (again LOL!) :hyper::dance::hyper::dance:
  3. Hey John, hows things? :) Happy birthday bud :duffer:
  4. Finally got round to finishing lots of jobs this last week! Refitted wheel arch liners, undertrays etc under the vehicle. Rebuilt the interior today - all boot trims, rear side trims, rear seats back in etc Removed the RLTC adjusable controller & LED from the stick on box & fitted it nice & neatly in the dash trim next to the clock - looks much nicer. Drivers seat to retrim next week & thats the interior done! :) HID's still to fit Engine to go in at some point! May get around to upgrading the ICE at some point - have 2 subs & an amp at work that I have been meaning to fit for years LOL! Been enjoying driving it again! T tops off the last couple of days! :D
  5. Obviously cradle snatching is considered a higher risk for some insurance co's!!
  6. Flux came out really good for me with all mods declared! A few guys I know kept going on about Sky insurance & how much cheaper they are than flux but wanted about £200 or so more for the same cover. Strange how it varies so fookin much!!
  7. LOL!! What has this thread turned into?! Its gone from the possibility of other life in the universe to us being aliens from another planet with no evidence or reasoning to support this!! Youre all mad LOL! :tt2:
  8. Happy birthday Steve :duffer:
  9. Holidays for me! Going back to the Maldives in 3 weeks - cant wait :hyper: Me & my girlfriend love travelling around the world. I used to be seriously into Martial arts but sadly have not trained for the last 3 or 4 years & really do miss it. I am (was! :blushing: ) a 4th dan black belt in Karate & have trained with some of the greats in Karate. Also used to compete at kick boxing but it hurt too much as I got older! :wheelchair:
  10. Not with racelogic TC! My best times recorded was with TC turned on max slip! Gives so much feedable power its great!
  11. Me too! Easy job to do :)
  12. cool! Not too bad a job really, just a little time consuming. The only downside to the covers is the material they use to slide the metal rods through to hold the covers to the frame is made of tissue paper! In most places you can go through the leather & the material behind the rods to secure it.
  13. got one seat done - for some reason the seat covers & nice & tight all over apart from the front of the seat base where they seem to have used too much material! Still - well happy for £80!!
  14. Oh yea - the tyre is knackered after doing a total of around 100 miles so I need a new one coming in tomorrow!!
  15. Was taking my zed back to the bodyshop for buffing & finishing off this morning, quick 10 min blast down the A2 from my house - cruised along & opened her up a little - nasty vibration come through the steering, slowed down & eased of a little at first & thought had lost some wheel weights off my new wheels, then got worse & worse. Crap! pulled off asap onto slip road - drivers front tyre flat as fook  Swapped for spacewaster spare - that looked really low, thought I might make my mates bodyshop about 1-2 miles away now. Nope - tyre came straight off the rim after a few hundrew yards! :pinch: Call to my mate at work - luckily had my old wheels in my workshop! waiting for him at the side of the road then old bill turned up! Copper was really helpful & coned the road off. Finally got to the bodyshop & waiting to pick it up later :scooter: Day from hell at work all day too with things going wrong & loads to get done! Will be glad to get home!! Rant over!!
  16. Its going back tomorrow for buffing & polishing - outside will be pretty much done then! :) Interior to finish next!
  17. Hi Shaun, These will allow for camber & caster adjustment: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=44302 Or you could try getting some stock upper & lower arms/tension rod to see if the figures come in - in theory it could also be the hub but this would be less likely (but does happen LOL). This would be cheaper but you are relying on them being straight if you get second hand parts.
  18. Hi Shaun, Yup - your cross camber is way out: You have -1deg 36min camber on the left & -0deg 30min on the right. The increased amount of negative camber on the left hand front wheel will have the effect of pushing the front of the car to the right. you also have a lot less caster on the right front wheel - I suspect something may be slightly bent to cause this amount of difference. Theres not too much you can do without adjustable arms to bring it into spec or start replacing suspension arms on the front right. Paul
  19. Have you got a printout you can upload? Cross camber adjustment can cause pulling even though the figures may be in spec. If you have a printout scan it & upload it & I will take a look. A tyre worn out of shape will cause this also & is not always obvious on a first visual inspection - swap the tyres side to side to see if this changes how it drives.
  20. Not much as I dont really use the hog rings for much of the work! Some parts it is better to use them but for a lot of the tight internal fixings I use small cable ties, so much easier, tension is perfect & they are more than strong enough! :cool3:
  21. Not had much time to do much more on these as have had other jobs to get done. Got some more done today - backrest & headrest done now, the backrest may need a little re-tensioning but all in all very happy with the result: Have stripped the seatbase & started to fit the leather, should get that finished beginning of next week then onto the drivers seat :)
  22. No! :tongue_smilie: Hows things buddy?! :)
  23. The clips I got with the strip were square where they go into the tailgate. Also I had one hole in my tailgate (?!) already which was square!
  24. bump! ps - vote for Miss Paul C too!!
