  1. hahahahahahaha!! perhaps some of the best looking but best car?! probably not!!
  2. For reference, this is what most of the public & manufacturers go off for results: http://www.whatcar.com/car-news/jd-power-survey-2011/the-results/257096
  3. hmm, well in my Mercedes workshop half of the technicians drive jap cars :chinese: I wonder why :innocent: German cars are nice quality its true, but reliability falls behind jap cars - Lexus has always been no 1 in the JD Power surveys. :scooter:
  4. I think the point is we have gone a bit :offtopic: - go & buy a HD TV!!
  5. interesting reading (if you find this kind of thing interesting LOL!) here: http://www.audioholics.com/education/cables/long-hdmi-cable-bench-tests
  6. it is a bit of a misconseption with HDMI cables - I have read scientific studies into this & as said over short distances a cheaper one is just as good! As it is a digital signal it is far less subject to breaking down the signal - the reviews actually tested the signal on a scope with no difference!! This changes on a longer lead (like over 5 meters or something!) as the signal will break down the further it travels with a cheaper jobbie
  7. get a decent sound system too ;) I have my PS3 hooked up to a 46" samsung 7 series & a 2.1 Harman Kardon system - the nuts! :D
  8. quick update: couldnt get any intake hose locally so will have to wait until monday to get some now. removed the carbon canister today: With regards to the ducting I have found out the ducts are for Stillen intercoolers & not ARC ones - the ARC IC's are so big that they are angled away from the centre & do not sit as flat as other IC's - they were supposed to be modified to fit but the angle is too far out & there is so little clearance that I dont think there is too much I can do with them - I may be able to adapt the inner section which seems to be the only place they will fit - they sit so close to the bumper there may not be too much need for ducting as most of the air will be forced through them anyway! Pic of them with the bumper attached: Hopefully more on monday!! :gun_bandana:
  9. its soooooooooooooo much better its unbelievable!!! Blu Rays look awesome too!! :w00t:
  10. depends if you want to believe it but this is a review from CZP on ARC spec coolers (genuine ARCs are pretty hard to come by & cost a fortune!): Description: New AVS ARC Spec Core Intercoolers are 15% more efficient (8-15 HP additional HP) then Original AVS and Intercoolers. AVS ARC Spec Intercoolers are designed to fit with the OEM Stock piping system. With a large 200x180x115mm ARC Core, HP Gains are 30-35HP on a stock setup. 57-92HP Gains can be experienced with larger turbo and accessory combination. These High Flow Rates are only achieved because of the ARC Spec Core, which is a Bar and Plate Design, compared to older Tube and Fin Designs. Seems a little high to me but only a dyno would prove it! :)
  11. no probs - will take a few pics tomorrow - you can see a pic here on the for sale thread: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=151837 :)
  12. Well, got my ARC intercoolers through today thanks to Peter (Nend) Started to get it stripped down today - pic of the stock intercooler in place: Couple of shots of the stock v ARC intercooler: One thing I have found out is that one of the outlets is angled on the ARC intercooler as opposed to the straight outlet on the stock cooler - this means I am going to need to get some straight coupling pipes to fit the new ARC cooler to the stock hardpipes on the outlet side. ARC intercooler in place: The main thing that amazed me was how restrictive the stock core is compared to the ARC core - I took a couple of pics but looking at it in real life it really is quite a difference!! Stock: ARC: And a shot with new ARC on one side & stock on the other: Will be trying to source some straight silicone hose tomorrow to get them all mounted up. If I cant get it tomorrow then there is a motorsport shop not too far from me that should stock it & should hopefully get some Monday :cool3:
  13. It doesnt need anything more adding on - take stuff of FFS!! :shuriken: (not sure why a Ninja smiley seemed appropriate, but it did! :alien: )
  14. The colour I actually like - the tailgate tub I have always thought looks terrible & dont like the rear end at all  not too keen on the front bumper either, sits way too low (hopefully that is adjustable with the hydraulic setup) - & interior hurts my eyes :pinch:
  15. Top Gear is the nuts & drives people who take it too seriously insane! Love it!!
  16. this wouldnt affect exhaust emissions bud. Most zeds only need to pass a non cat test - make sure yours is tested correctly! Details here: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=27060
  17. the benefits are twofold - first like many systems on these cars there are lots of vacuum lines that are removed that can prevent possible air leaks. Second & the main reason is that it is located right behind the passenger intercooler & removal allows much more airflow for cooling. Potentially there is the possibility of fumes from venting gasses from the fuel tank - good to know there are no reported issues from people that have actually done this :)
  18. yup - thats me mate. Work at the Merc garage there :)
  19. Thanks groover - I have seen that link & used Robos site for other removal docs. Just wanted some real world input from anyone on here that has done it :)
  20. Has anyone had any negative effects from doing this. I have removed my PRVR & AIV systems & am thinking of removing the CC as I need to remove the front bumper for painting & to install my ARC intercoolers from Nend. The CC probably gives me the most concerns out of all deletes for vapour loss reasons. Any comments appreciated :detective:
  21. Nothing will change - even if everyone signs I'm afraid. Its not just the UK either, fuel costs are now similar across Europe - when I was in Greece the other week fuel costs were actually higher than here - & earnings are much lower! Nice thought but thats all that it will be
  22. Hi & welcome. I used to live down Margate (Palm Bay) & also Ramsgate - am in Canterbury now. As said get some pics up!! :D
  23. I found it in Greece the other week! :thumbup1: cant find it now tho
