  2. each to their own but for me with a matt finish car you may as well just be driving around in primer IMO
  3. over 130k miles now. bought nearly 10 years ago with 80,000 on the clock as a standard car - have been running pretty much since I bought it with chip, boost increase, filters, zorst etc with no real problems :)
  4. And if there are covers over the wheel nuts then you may not even be able to inspect them! They should show up if loose at the time of test when you shake them however.
  5. As said - the wheels should not be removed for an MOT test. Was any repair work carried out at the time? Have the wheels been off at any other time recently - servicing, brakes, new tyres etc?
  6. talking of plates - we had a car in the other day with T111 ATT - they really didnt think that one through LOL!! :D
  7. LOL! wondered what that plate was edited out for: C*** MAD :innocent::whistling::lol:
  8. Nice one bud - wheels look nice :) you checked out the new R172 SLK yet ;) very nice car - was up on a training course the other week for these! New Magic sky roof looks cool as does the new COMAND online - some things are a bit gimmicky - web browsing is pretty pointless but you can plan out a complete route on google maps & download it to your car!!
  9. will try to get down - just down the road from me :)

  11. has anyone actually made an on topic reply yet??!!? :tt2:
  12. I have custom ringtones without jailbreaking. In fact I am not really sure what jailbreaking exactly is LOL! :blushing: I do know that I have not found one thing that I cant do on my phone so whatever it is I dont need to do it LOL!!! WTF do you need it for & what am I missing out on by not having mine jailbroken?!!? :detective:
  13. I agree, I love the iphone for what it is & how it works - there are so many people with such strong views for Apple. Everything Apple does it does well. Including making people hate them with such a passion!! LOL! :whistling: No other product seems to raise such conflict on forums etc than Apple products - you have to hand it to them, everyone has strong views & that can only be a good thing in business!!
  14. Ooh, somebody's tired!! My girlfriend has the galaxy & it's a load of crap compared to an iPhone!! She thought it was fantastic & kept going on when she bought it. After a week she said she doesn't like it! Now wants my iPhone when I get a new one!! As for apple not making it - you don't think Nissan made the Z then do you?!?! Look around your car, you will find parts from loads of different manufacturers! In fact this is quite the norm in most manufacturing industries!! Anyway - calm down before you hurt yourself!!!! :D
  15. people love it or hate it! I love my iphone & now I am out of contract am hanging on for the new iphone 5 to come out :hyper: Apple like to keep specs undercover until about 5 mins before release date so there is lots of speculation - what do you think/hope it will have?! Things I have read are: dual core processor from ipad2 slightly bigger screen 8 meg camera with better flash NFC built in for a virtual wallet 64gig version loads of more obscure predictions also! I need a release date soon LOL!! :hammer:
  16. Some good points here, just a few thoughts- first the guy is obviously frustrated at his car being off the road & this does need to be taken into account. next, with second hand parts if I was buying or selling then as long as the part is working & as decribed when it arrives then this is all I would expect either way. Obviously selling second hand parts as a business you want to keep your customers happy. Do you give any kind of warranty on used parts - this would be important I think as a business & list it as either no warranty given or implied or say 3 months (or whatever you think fair) - I would list this on the invoice sent to the customer. finally you need to decide if it is actually the part at fault - has the customer checked correctly, would you want an independant report, should you have the part back for testing? Obviously your first interest is to keep the customer happy but you dont want to be stitching yourself up by not having an "official" procedure. as for the ECU causing the injectors to fail - it is far more likely the other way round! the injector is the consumer & if fails in a way that it draws too much current then this could cause ECU problems! Has the wiring been checked - did he give resistance values for the injector - has he tried powering up the injector to see if it actuates? All my own thoughts on this matter :)
  17. thanks guys - & yes, they are 19's :)

ahh, dont - they are on a fresh built engine with lots of uprated goodies that I was going to drop into mine. My car was off the road for a couple of years & had a full body job done end of last year. to be honest my car is running so well at the moment that I am just enjoying driving it  & dont want it off the road again at this stage. Not really sure what to do with it LOL!
