  1. my mate sprayed my car - got him to do the scuttle panels & wiper arms in satin black - come out like new :)
  2. also try here: http://www.lepsons.com/home.phtml To be honest I didnt think they touched them (we use Lepsons every week) but they list this on their website: we specialise in most two piece split rims but avoid three piece split rims due to the amount of time it takes to undo all the bolts and split them etc which is disproportianate to the price people are willing to pay. A quote can be given on individual cases if you phone the head office. depending on how you read into that I am unsure if they avoid them completely or if they will give you an individual quote if you phone them LOL!
  3. from memory I think these used to do 3 piece: http://www.pristinealloywheels.co.uk/ not sure if they still do - give them a call :)
  4. we always used to convert, never used a drop in replacement myself but worth asking. R134a conversions are not too bad anyway & would then be cheaper & easier to regas in the future. Details here: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=33691
  5. if the connectors are a screw thread on the outside then it is R12 (old) - if they are quick coupling type connectors then R134a (new) :cool3:
  6. you NEED adjustable tension rods with upper adjustable camber arms. The upper arms will have roller bearings - normal bushed tension rods will allow lateral movement on the bearings (not a good thing!) also the poly bushes are almost certainly the cause of failure of the lower arms - the lack of flexibility in an rotational direction cause the metal of the lower arm to flex & fracture - a well known issue on the Z32 with polybushed tension rods - get rid of them now LOL!! the adjustable tension rods allow caster to be adjusted :)
  7. yes - I have done it before, you need to paste the html code into your description. there are loads of guides if you google it! look here: http://www.ehow.com/how_5092185_add-pictures-ebay-listings-photobucket.html
  8. oh yea! have witnessed that myself with my best mates car when he got found out!! :gun_bandana::death:
  9. probably his missus - bet he forgot to put the rubbish out on bin day!!
  10. Also an old spirit level type camber gauge is pretty much what Noah used to align the keel on his ark - not overly accurate!! perhaps their bubble has not been calibrated in a while!! :D
  11. I would have it checked again with somewhere that has a computerised alignment system so they can give you a printout. Just saying - "everything is in spec" is easy to do!! A printout with all the readings is much better & you can see exactly what is going on. To be honest most zeds that have not got adjustable arms will probably be out of spec LOL so would be wary of what they are telling you
  12. have you got a printout you can scan?
  13. is anyone going from here??? Dont want to be "billy no mates" on my own down there LOL! :tongue_smilie::blush: looks like my other 2 mates wont be going now either! :shaun:
  14. anyone else on here coming??? Are you still going Jason? :)
  15. Should still be there :) got a mate with a Z33 & another with an S14a that should be coming too  what time is it all going on down there??
  16. basically, yes. The arms are used to set the track (width) of the rear wheels to the desired level & then the camber can be adjusted after. This means you should be able to pull the rear wheels in to sit correctly in the arches & run less negative camber
  17. It could be the rear camber - too much can make it a little twitchy. I run around 2deg dead due to the same reasons as you - I think you have mania wheels too & in truth the offset is pretty much to the max LOL! I am not running that low so wasnt too bad for me (Eibachs over KYB's) I was considering these at one stage to adjust the track: http://www.driftworks.com/shop/car-parts/suspension/adjustable-arms/driftworks-adjustable-arms/driftworks-front-rear-adjustable-lower-arms-s13-s14.html just a thought :)
  18. no 1 post whore!! :rockon::lol:
  19. Just noticed he's been knocked off the top spot, list of top post whores: http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/memberlist.php?order=DESC&sort=posts&pp=30 How is the old git anyway?? Anyone still see him?? :ninja:
  20. you can put anything as an advisory - only testable items will come up on the VOSA computer - but the tester can add manual advisories as he sees fit :)
  21. I though the opposite for drag launches - stiff suspension can cause it to hop - a softer rear will cause the car to squat down at the rear transferring more weight to the rear wheels allowing it to launch quicker?? never tried myself so maybe wrong but would make more sense to me! :)
  22. With running around a bar boost with a remap, filter, zorst etc I recon it will be a fairly even sprint! :scooter: The VXR8 lists a 0-60 in 4.9 secs, my zed with the above mods & a few more had a timed 0-60 of 4.7 (best time) go for it!! V power is a higher octane fuel to allow you to run slightly higher boost without detting. should be interesting! :thumbup1:
  23. Z1 have full instructions & a guide on their website (or did last time I looked) :)
