  1. never heard of him :whistling:
  2. PRVR can be ripped out regardless of the carbon canister Carbon canister has one vacuum pickup on the metal pipe coming from under the passenger throttle body & another that goes under the plenum to a metal pipe on the passenger side that then runs up to the balance bar. HTH :)
  3. its almost certainly the lower steering UJ starting to sieze up - remove it from where it bolts to the rack & see if its tight in one direction - a good lube up may help otherwise its time for a new one
  4. LOL! theres a very good reason why there are no more British car manufacturers! They were pretty cack!! They have a good following which is why some of them are sought after but I dont think they could be classed as the best! Mechanically they were pretty rubbish, most leak oil like the engine is a sieve! Not really good to drive either but do have some heritige I suppose! As for what makes a Supercar you are all forgetting one important thing - Brand! Peoples perception of what makes a product one thing or another is how the company portray their brand image - which is why IMO no jap car would ever be a true "supercar" - its why when the press first wrote about them they were classed as "jap supercars"!! In the same way that when we think of the luxury car market no one really thinks of some fully specced Peugot that may actually be more "luxurious" than a base Mercedes or BMW!!
  5. I know its not how people see it really but surely a "sports" car has to be a car with some sporting history by its very definition! Manufacturers seem to think they can stick a sports badge on pretty much anything now LOL! so anyway, from recent threads the 300ZX is a sports GT Jap muscle supercar LOL!
  6. if you are not getting code 34 then the resistor should make no difference - code 34 is stored when the det sensor circuit is out of spec - installing the resistor simply fools the ECU into thinking the correct resistance is present! does the boost change at all from hot to cold engine temps? could be a engine temp sensor problem thinking the engine is cold all the time - have you checked the connector to the temp sensor?
  7. mine had a broken wire behind the horn push in the steering wheel - quick fix! :)
  8. never heard of it but looking at the screenshots on their website it looks quite similar to Dragon that we use. bit too fussy for my liking with too much crammed on the screens & too many colours all over the place!!
  9. probably the best value for money & what we use in our dealer: http://www.dragon2000.co.uk/ can be scaled to any size from a small garage to a full dealer DMS software will handle all aspects - workshop, parts, car sales etc. will do customer mailshots etc is very scaleable in terms of buying modules for what you want - if you dont want car sales then you dont pay for it etc. let me know if you want any more info :)
  10. boost pressure sensor - just get some vacuum tubing to replace from a motor factors or trader on here :)
  11. if its a private sale then there is very little comeback on mileage alterations - if it is a trader then this is a different matter.
  12. not had a chance to push it hard yet but low down & mid range power are hugely improved due to the free flowing design! Boost comes on a lot earlier & stronger now  Very impressed! :)
  13. All back together now. need to sort out some ducting when I have time - think I have worked out what to do. ready for a run home shortly! :)
  14. Yea, those AVS look pretty good for the price! Thankfully mine are the real deal however!!
  15. thats the AVS ones on CZP - not genuine ARCS - AVS use "ARC spec cores"!! genuine ARC intercoolers are $2700!!
  16. lunchtime update LOL! heres some pics for reference with space behind the IC's - stock washer bottle & expansion bottle installed but carbon canister removed - not too bad really: Drivers side Passenger side (with CC removed) As you can see from the inside of the wheel arch there is good standard venting for the IC's: and from the underside: So am quite happy about leaving these in place. Just a bit of finishing off to do tonight then give her a run :thumbup1:
  17. oh yea!! plan is to just use the inner part of the duct to direct airflow better as there is a gap between the inner part of the IC & the intake in the bumper :)
  18. Out of interest how does nistune compare to a complete stand alone system?! will it run with a MAP sensor or are you still limited to MAF?
  19. Nice zed :batman: & my sister used to live in the flats round the corner overlooking the sea!
  20. Hi Baz - they are Stillen ones for a 99 spec bumper - as said they just wont fit  I may still be able to chop them down as really its the inner part that needs the most ducting so I really want to adapt them somehow The arcs just sit too far of an angle & this puts the ducts in completely the wrong place if you just mount them on!
  21. quick update Got some silicone intake connector hose today - cost a massive £3 each + VAT LOL! only had a bit of time tonight after work so intercoolers now all fitted & connected fully. moved my horns up to where the old airbox would be out of the way. run her up just to ensure no air leaks from the IC's or the CC removal. Was considering what to do with the expansion bottle & washer bottle - to be honest there is quite a bit of room behind them - will take some pics tomorrow. Am sure removing them is obviously better but am not too concerned - if it was a track car then sure, but for what I want I am pretty sure it will be fine :) Should have time to refit the bumper etc tomorrow & give her a good blast home :hyper::hyper::hyper:
  22. mmmmm nice V6 Volvo engine - lovely!! :lol::lol:
  23. I do love (& always have loved) lambos - would give my right nut for a Murcielago!!:devil2: or a Diablo, or a Muira..........etc etc!!
