How can people let this happen ?
I found these photos on a website in Germany and felt very sad. Surely some of these could be restored back to something special.

February 17th Bristol Classic Car Show
This would not just be a meet, it is a classic car show, admittedly the only Zeds there would be in the car park but it is usually a good show with over 70 car clubs and approx. 70 trade stands, which means a good selection of goodies at cheap prices like silicone hose, water pipes, brake pipes and hosed, polishes and chamois etc., and some cheap tools. There was a guy there last year selling quality aluminium racing car jacks which easily slid under a Zed and lifted the car about 500mm for £150.

Does the new box have the torque convertor supplied with it or do you have to change the one over from your current box.

350Z rear discs
I know this subject has been discussed before but I cannot seem to find the thread. Will they fit a 300ZX and what mods need to be carried out to the either the car or the discs.

MOT Rear Fog Lights Issue
No, tis a black one with a flail mower of a spoiler on the back which will shortly be going. It is quite well known in the SW region and goes like stink with a 386 bhp rolling road result but sadly was a bit chaved up. We are getting there tho;.(see my rides)

Conzult
No disrespect Anthony, but I find it incredible that someone would buy a bit of equipment, and not have a clue about what to use it for. It's a bit like buying a best seller in Japanese and being unable to read it. To use a Conzult you should at least have a good knowledge of the Zed motor and what readings to throw up when using it, otherwise you are wasting your time. I would take it to someone who understands what the readout means and could probably adjust it whilst hooked up and running, or at least tell what has failed. PM Jimmer, he has a Conzult.

Courtesy door lights.
They are functional as well. The zed door is a big bugger and some lighting would provide additional safety as well as illuminating the door area. I been thinking about this type of mod as well mainly because my Laguna has them fitted and I think it's a good function.

MOT Rear Fog Lights Issue
It sounds as though it could be down to individual MoT station interpretation. My previous Zeds had the fog light routed through the inner brake lights via a relay and always passed the test. My latest Zed had the same and apparently it was failed and the previous owner paid for a dangly model to be fitted on the rear bumper. Needless to say, thats gone now.

Ebay idiots ......AGAIN!!!!
I reckon a Zed still looks great even on a trailer as long as it is not going to that big carpark in the sky.

Don't these clever people make you sick....
As mentioned a while back, my Zed is off the road due to a tapping noise under load. No other problems like overheating and the oil pressure was magnificent. On a cold start it went right round the clock and when hot was showing 45 lbs on tickover and approx 75-80 when running. I have been around cars all my life especially when involved in the Rally scene and sadly spent a lot of time underneath them at weekends, so I am used to engine noises and there cause. My son Jimmer sadly had to endure this when he was a boy when his hobby was really trains (model & real). Now I was convinced my tapping was due to some sort of ring failure and have been duly stripping the engine to find the cause. Now Jimmer, who only listened to it a couple of times, squinted and said 'a bearing'. He also pointed out that when he took Funky Si's engine apart, one piston had almost totally melted, and yet it ran quietly. Well, tonight I undid all them bleeding bolts around the sump and the big ends and.......that cocky little bleeder was right. One big end has taken the white metal off and was through to the backing material. Luckily the crank is not scored but I will get it checked and polished if OK. He will be on Mastermind soon, mark my words. The subject of course will be Zed engines. ;) P.S. A normal one is in the middle.

Lambo Doors
They are not what I would call true Lambo doors as they tend to do a hybrid door opening by still going out and then up, but not very far up. I sat in a Zed with them fitted last year and you have to purposely make sure you don't headbut the door when getting out, or catch it with your shoulder. I agree with Si, absolutely a no no. They would look good on a Corsa though.

who's interested in some track action ?
Well Dave, something to aim for now then. Get that slicktop on the road ready for Castle Combe, it sounds like it could be a really good day. (no, it will be pants in a Peugeot)

20% Discounted on RPS Clutch
I have to say Pete I am a bit dissappointed with RPS in so much that when mine was stripped last week, the RPS clutch was well worn. The car was previously owned by Sasha who did not really do a great mileage in it and I only use it as a second car and mostly in the dry as its a bit of a handfull in the wet. They are good clutches and although near the rivets did not exhibit any signs of slip but I bet it has not done 9000 miles, which for the money is not good value.

Propshaft Alignment...
Before you start spending a lot of time under the car playing with the propshaft, which is not a pleasant job I can asure you, check your wheels both for damage and for balance. If possible try to borrow some spare wheels and try them. I had this problem on a previous Zed and spent a lot of time struggling with rotating the propshaft through the 8 bolts positions, without success, had my wheels balanced and it still persisted but only at about 95 and above. I then upgraded to 19" wheels and ..............wow...supersmoooooooth. I have had a similar experince on my latest Zed which is fitted with Advans which are 10J on the rears. On getting the tyres changed recently, the tyre fitter pointed out that the rim was distorted on the inside. He modified it with a soft mallet and once again the vibes were gone. If your centre bearing is OK, and the universal joints are not siezed, I bet it is a problem with a wheel(s).

Veilside/Ganador OR Standard Door Mirrors
They do look nice fitted to a Zed but the view from them is poor. I have had a few near misses with them and have now got a set of original mirrors to fit but I am still loathing to change them. On reflection though safety is more important than looks.
