I would have said that as well Andy, but he did say his radiator was empty, so it looks like a leak somewhere. Lets hope he hasn't cooked it in the meantime.
  2. Just paid my subs by credit card - £15, is that right, I thought is was £20.
  3. get them Lazer checked at a reputable tyre outlet. Just had mine done and they were miles out on the front. Feels totally different afterwards especially when cornering. The front end does drop on the suspension with age due to the weight and braking stresses, and I believe adjustable camber arms will cure this, but not a cheap job.

At the back of the engine you have the heater pipes which are obviously the main suspect, but there are also core plugs which are fitted in the engine block, one of which is behind the flywheel. These corrode and get pin hole leaks from them which when pressurised can be quite a squirt. Really you need to check all your water pipes especially if your plenum is still water cooled as well as the pipework underneath ages with the heat and subsequently leaks. Just don't drive it until you find the problem otherwise you could be in to a head gasket job as well.
  5. It's gotta be the Pug GTi. They are just pocket rockets. Give it a good going over mechanically and go for it. Primera's are Taxis.
  6. I think you could just turn up and pay at the gate (slighly more) and still get in the club parking area.
  7. I have a set off already that are perfect, but sadly I am not going to Z008. JapFest, yes, and Surrey RR day in June with Jimmer. Let me or Jimmer know Joel.
  8. FunkySi has just done his, give him a pm.
  9. Don't say that Lisa, Murt wants you to ring him, he's very lonely you know.;)
  10. 14psi ? how have you got to that amount of boost.? Std intercoolers are fine but a FMIC is better. Ebay always has a good collection going but obviously HKS does them but they are £££'s dearer than the copycat ones.
  11. Welcome to the club. Your obviously talking about a 'front mount' type intercooler (FMIC) in place the 2 side mounted intercoolers fitted as standard. It certainly makes a difference and it should not affect your existing fuel/map setup. If you intend buying a FMIC, then buy the better version with 2 inlets and 2 outlets, which gives better perfomance.
  12. The pub is 300 metres from junction 17 on the M5, so easy to find.
  13. Its a great idea Gezz, and I would certainly contribute, but I think you may have trouble having a BBQ on the Downs. The local byelaws from what I can remember, do not allow it and I think the Police would intervine. Worth checking tho', and a brilliant idea.
  14. Your only saying that Dave so that you can get in there first.;)
  15. And they also sell 2nd hand boxes which would have been tested before removal.
  16. Thanks for warning us Daryll, I'll get my ear plugs out ready.:D
  17. Blimey Pete, this is exiting. Last week you were in the glums, this week.:smash:
  18. If you are thinking of re-shelling, I would definitely fit a new engine bay loom whilst the engine is out which makes it so easy to do, and also change the nylon bushes which fit in the brackets holding the steering rack to the front crossmember.
  19. Gordano is best as it is directly on the M5. They sell V-Power as well (not cheap tho') and seem to always have reliable free air machines just to check them tyre pressures.

As this is only your 3rd post in 2 years, no we don't remember you, why should we.?
  21. No it could not as I was in the Canaries. Got home at 12.45 this morning. It might have been Jimmer who had my car to change a turbo, again, but my exhaust is no longer loud.
  22. Dont bother with Owen Developements. I could not get a response from them despite 2 emails and numerous telephone calls which always just got an answerphone message. They are obviously not good in the communication department which means if you need to get in touch after having work done...........forget it.
  23. Alright, alright. enoughs enough. Thank you for that Si.:p
  24. Have you change your speakers Si, and if so which type did you go for. Although mine is a series 2 which is marginally better sounding than the S1, it is still crap and I would like to upgrade the speakers. My stereo is an Alpine so that should be OK.
