  1. I think the whole thing is from some pretty serious illegal substance abuse!
  2. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/modified-Nissan-300zx-/301753967085?hash=item4641f021ed I know the funky one thought he'd missed out - great news huh! :whistling:
  3. Reg. Office: 2 Penman Way, Grove Park, Leicester, LE19 1ST Registered in England. Company Reg. No. 2883766 FCA Reg. No 310540 | VAT Reg. No GB 610 6250 86 https://companycheck.co.uk/company/00813696/SYTNER-LIMITED/directors-secretaries The address is the main head office for the group, the link give the names of the current directors. I would suggest a polite well worded letter enquiring as to their procedure and policy in these circumstances. Start by apologising for writing to them, but you feel that the people you have spoken to are just trying to palm you off. State that you are awaiting a response from the site manager. Copy in all the directors by name. Sit back and wait. I spent years in big business and the last thing any middle manager wants is their name mentioned in connection with a complaint. That guy will do anything to make you happy. If you want a hand wording it let me know.
  4. I did a bit of research before buying one for my Dad lots of articles like the one linked below quote the Orion Skyquest as a great beginners scope. I was at the point of buying one when I happened upon a piece that stated the Skywatcher was the same telescope under a different brand name, and cheaper! http://scopereviews.com/begin.html You will also want to buy a few eyepieces as generally you will want lower magnification to find the object, then higher to view. Also a filter, as with a powerful stargazing telescope if you want to look at the moon there is too much light so you have to cut it down. This is what these things a re capable of As always it comes down to how much you want to spend, I Paid £265 for Dads telescope (hence why I think that is a cracking price)and £185 for the eyepiece set (overkill he didn't need that many) The telescope does come with a couple I think anyway. He is very happy with what he's got. My advice is just read loads and decide what you actually want to do with it. Hope that helps. Martin
  5. This is an incredible piece of kit of for the money http://www.jessops.com/online.store/categories/products/skywatcher/skyliner-150p-telescope-mount-kit-89958/show.html

  10. Hi Folks This is the car I bought as a non running parts car then decided it was far too good to break. Much money later it runs and drives well has an MOT and I still can't justify having 2 This car has virtually no rust on it and is clean and solid underneath. However it needs a re spray and a tidy up to bring it back to what it should be. The story is it was broken into but not stolen, left outside with a broken window for a while then put in a garage for nearly 8 years and forgotten about. It didn't come with keys or alarm fobs. Locks and ignition barrel have been changed now on a titanium key as well Auto box swapped as it didn't work. Passenger door changed due to damage from break in and glass replaced. Immobiliser and alarm removed along with a birds nest of wires. At some point someone has spent money on this car. It has coilovers, defi gauge controller under the bonnet (aftermarket gauges were removed prior to me getting it) Strut Braces (had those for mine!) Electronic boost controller disconnected when I got it so I fitted simple manual controller to make it work. Make no mistake this is a project but it could be used as a daily driver while you are doing it. Going on eBay as well, but if anyone on here wants a re shell or a project this is the car. Tomomontana has seen the car in the flesh so if anyone wants an independent view give him a shout. Bizarrely the complete opposite of several I saw before I bought mine. This looks like a shed but is rock solid and straight.
  11. You don't need to pay a massive amount off any small amount will help. Just think £1 borrowed over 25 years costs you £2 Pay £1 off now saves you £2 Just a few hundred quid here and there will make a real difference especially paid in the early years. if you pay an extra £10 or £20 each month the compound thing then works in your favour Say you have £100 repayment which is £90 interest and £10 repayment Pay £110 per month first month is £90 interest and £20 repayment but month 2 will be £89 interest and £21 repayment and so on, because you've paid extra off the loan balance. The figures aren't exact but you get the idea. Pay a little extra now early on will have a big impact later. £50 extra a month starting now will probably take a couple of years off your mortgage
  12. Compound interest mate £1 x 25 years of 3.5% is £1.875 but it's worse than that because year one its £1 x 3.5% then year 2 its £1.035 x 3.5% and so on. Don't forget after your four years it will revert to their standard variable rate which could be really high and that will be factored in on the full term payment total. If you are repayment mortgage the first payments are mainly interest so you pay very little off the balance initially. So most of the money you have borrowed is attracting interest for a long time You should be able to overpay by up to 10% without penalty even in the fixed rate period. If you can manage to do that it will have a dramatic impact on the total to pay for the full term
  13. Absolutely gutted for you mate I really hope its something simple
  14. I'm 5'10 and I can't reach the pedals!
  15. Upholstery by Fisher Price?
  16. Well if ever Mondo needed a before photo..................

  18. I went to see this car http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C605312 he paid £1500 for it
  19. I wondered when this thing would rear it's ugly head again. To coin a phrase Just say No! I went to look and I can see the original thread has been linked to this one by Mondo. It is a dog. I fell in love with the car in the pictures which sadly is a distant memory from the car it is now. I think I counted 11 lies in the original advert. It was up for £7500 on eBay and I was prepared to get close if it was what it said it was. If it gets through a real MOT I'll be surprised. I reckon it's a parts car now. Highlights are CAT D Over fuelling Misfire Dodgy 4th Gear Knackered Alloys Rusty sills Bodged bumper repair Very little paperwork Lying owner If you want anymore give me a shout
  20. Happy Birthday mate I once got involved in a fish a chips challenge. If I could eat a 2lb piece of cod with 1lb of chips and peas I would win an ice cream for pudding. Definitely in my top ten worst ideas ever!
  21. Fantastic pictures and looks like a top day So who was the policeman after then in picture 7
  22. Something is not quite straight by the sounds of it. First thing I would do is the old tape measure from wheel centre to wheel centre on either side as there may not be any obvious shunt signs but it still could have happened. Also do it on full lock each way. Could be a slightly bent leg which depending on the bend might not be spotted with the steering straight
  23. And ill think you'll find that God drove Adam and Eve out of the garden of Eden in his Fury
