  2. runs and drives well just got to clean the interior put a few bits back in and blow a coat off black paint over the bright red passenger door  she drives alright but doesn't feel like she is boosting properly so a bit of fiddling and hopefully it will scare me like the now infamous tomomontana testdrive
  3. Cheers The other one is back home with that door filler on it now so I need to get that off for you. How's the renovation going?
  4. Cheers mate Got back from holiday last Thursday and haven't stopped workwise since then hoping to get in the garage on Friday and have a poke around. it was the shorty sadly. here it is looking mean and going well just before it went wrong:thumbdown:

  7. Good plan Tom I'm off on hols tonight so a few days away from it is probably a good plan. Gutted though I was right with the Porsche I was running with. 1.5 miles we were about a mile down and I'm doing 140 thinking naughty 160's are coming. Not to be never mind sunshine and sangria here we come.
  8. Thank you will do I was thinking I might have fried a coil pack. I was really giving it the beans :w00t: Just weird how it dropped a cylinder. Lumpy ride home !
  9. Hi Folks Just got back from terminal velocity at Woodbridge where I have suffered a bit of  We took off well (bit of burning clutch smell) 140 in fourth change up nothing left, would not go so took my foot off the gas coasted through the line at 80. Now running on 5 cylinders. Limped home and put to bed in the garage. Any thoughts on what I have broken this time with my lead foot? Cheers from your friendly neighbourhood idiot.

  12. Hi Folks had my head under the bonnet for a bit today and down by the battery I've found an electrical connection not connected to anything and a pipe clearly broken off something. The car seems to run fine but on the basis Nissan didn't put spare bits and jokes in could someone please tell me what they are. the other end Many thanks in advance

  14. These people custom made an exhaust for my mates Tuscan and for one of my tenants mustang both are straight through both sound awesome. http://www.a14tyres.co.uk/ I can only speak for that one site for powerflow but they are bloody good :thumbup1:
  15. I think this is pretty much what you are after http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?products_id=6723 I'm thinking I have to have that noise in my life :w00t:
  16. I think the way forward for the best finish is always going to be the professionals. Experience and equipment are always going to win out over thumbs and enthusiasm. However, always a however! The big joy for me with mine is always tinkering, it's not a show car and it's not my daily driver and I always like to try to do things myself. To be fair there are occasions I have to hand a half arsed job over to a man who knows what he is doing  So I will be attempting bits of mine myself, although the previous owner had the seats re trimmed so I have dodged that bullet. Having seen pictures of your work it is undeniably excellent and if I decide I want mine to be a show car then I will definitely be sending bits your way. I think the moral is if you want the best then pay for the best. I also believe that members on this forum are lucky to have access to such a talent should they choose to use it. It's not correct in my opinion to make comparisons between bespoke upholsterers and pre fab kit they are totally different propositions. Ultimately it is down to individual to make their own choice dependant on what they want out of it and of course how much they want to spend. Just my thoughts for what it's worth Oh yeh do you do anything like this :clown:
