HICAS help please
Hi Folks I'm partway through putting coilovers on the shorty and I have discovered the knock I thought was down to the suspension is in fact the ball joint on the offside HICAS tie/track rod. Binning the HICAS was always part of the eventual plan and now wouldn't be a bad time to do it. However obviously I can't just use a lock out bar as that won't change that ball joint and no one seems to have the eliminator kit in stock. if I phone NIssan to try and order the rod from them I get duuuuur it's an import and we know nothing. So couple of questions. Are the bits the same for UK and JDM cars? In which case I'm hoping I could just order the UK rod. Or does anyone have that rod that they might want to sell me. Or of course does anyone have an eliminator kit that they would like to exchange for some beer tokens. Hoping to be up and running for August 2nd as that's the next Terminal Velocity event. Thanks as always

You're a top man for this Ian I don't want either of the bits but pm your email for paypal and I'll ping you a tenner across for him. I figure I can spare the cost of a couple of pints to help out.

If you have NFU over there try them as in my experience you quite often get to speak to the person who actually makes the decision

has anyone been in a car or bike at or above 200mph?
Terminal Velocity at Woodbridge is what you want Dan 2.2 miles of cold war runway. About 1.7 miles of good tarmac. It was wet last time so the full runway wasn't opened up until late afternoon (to give extra stopping distance) The big power cars struggled to get grip in the wet so Max speed on the day was 184mph Here's the link http://www.facebook.com/pages/Terminal-Velocity/1028724560474872?fref=ts and here's the one to beat I'll be there in the shorty hoping for mid 160s I didn't take it last time I took the BMW (4wd 335d msport totally standard) proper quick off the line but ran out of horsepower at about 125 then crawled to low 150s for the speed trap at the end.

I saw him at the weekend when I had some bits off him. I think he's a bit run ragged at the moment with loads on so may just be he's up to his eyeballs. Very helpful and decent guy so I would say keep trying mate.

Is it low enough yet??
It does look properly nice though bud. I appreciate what Gary is saying, but I know as far a low and fast goes I have a whole heap of learning by my mistakes (maybe!) ahead of me :w00t: 600BHP sounds like a good number to me:lol:

That's where my key went!- Who is old enough to remember...
They look like BMWs with no options selected to me. :tt2:- Thoughts on this one please
Hi Folks I would like to throw this one out for your thoughts please. A few weeks ago I bought 2 Zeds, the one I bought for parts is the one I want to ask about. As follows JDM LWB TT auto, some damage due to failed theft attempt. Imported with 70,000 km in 2003 run for 7000 km then put away in a garage. Pretty much no rust anywhere. After market gauges had been removed and a birds nest left. Had immobiliser and toad alarm, but I had no fobs. Went to a very clever friend of mine and his garage yesterday it now starts and runs beautifully. Gearbox slips under load, but is having oil change today so maybe fine. Adam reckons it is spitting distance of an MOT. It has Kakimoto racing twin exit exhausts, a couple of strut braces. blitz boost controller and I believe a blitz ecu (these are the bits I can see) It had a battery cut off switch which I have removed as the wiring was bad. Bodywork has some minor dents and dings, bonnet being the worst where someone has dropped a tool box or something on it. It has now got original 16's on it as I had 2 17's and 1 1/2 18's with it. Locks changed to a set with the Titanium key! I will put some pics up on Thursday or Friday when I go to see it again. The previous owner reckoned is was about 450bhp, but I haven't even driven it yet so can't comment. I reckon at MOT level I will be in it for about £1000 to £1100 with Adams time. I can easily get my money back if I break it, but I don't really want to break it as the shell is just too good. 1 UK owner (I have the entire V5 and haven't put it in my name) and HPI clear. Which way do I jump and if I sell it as a going concern what sort of money do you think I should be asking? As always all help and advice greatly appreciated:helpsmilie:- This what being in trouble with the wife looks like

Just a thought for business name and web site availability. zhead.guru  Is out there.- Some troughts after my attempts to be come a Z trader
Hi I am new here, but I thought I would chip in. Some really spot on comments above and people are obviously really trying to help. The cars you have shown are stunning, but they are the aspirational standard and not many will have the budget to buy outright. As mentioned by others most people on this forum will already have a Z32 and will really appreciate the quality, but won't necessarily want or be able to afford a second or third car. The amount of time and money that people pour into their cars on here means that they won't normally sell theirs. The classic websites and shows are where you need to be. NEC last year was incredible and a vast amount of vehicles sold. Two minters for sale on a stand and a deposits taken on imports and I think you would have a profitable business right there. Everyone one on here wants specific things (normally TT manual for peanuts - I did lol) At the motor show there were an awful lot of people who collect shiny things with cash burning a hole in their pocket. My best mate included and he is dangerous at motor shows. Maybe the Minters become your showcase vehicles and if they sell all well and good, but meanwhile I would think good solid TTs at £4K to £6K will be your core market. I really hope it works for you as we could do with some more on the roads. - Cool ways to start your car other then with a key
