  1. I know nothing about watches, I use a Xiaomi Smartwatch called something I cant remember. It counts my steps and tracks my running. I have never owned a "real" watch, so I must admit I have no experience here. I have to ask though: Other than the fairlady badge and it being yellow and blue. How is this a Z inspired watch?! I might be missing something, but any watch made could have that badge added and have a bit of paint on it? If the font was in the fairlady font for the numbers, the push buttons on the sides were little zeds, the background was a bonnet zed badge, etc then I would understand. However you could take the fairlady badge off, plop a lambo badge on it, change the colour and sell it as "A uniquely Lamborghini inspired designed watch" Hell, for £1830 Ill do it myself! Accepting orders now..... ??
  2. Yes, you can choose either or both when applying for the tickets/passes. I'm waiting to hear back about the club stand, so not sure how that works yet regards to us needing club stand tickets or normal tickets. Looking forward to seeing both of you!
  3. Free tickets have just gone on "sale". However I have applied for a club stand of 8 cars. Magnificent Motors is a great show held in Eastbourne, East Sussex. It's completely free, so book early. For people interested, this is the bank holiday weekend and it's the Saturday and Sunday before the BHP show at Lydden on the Monday. So if you live far away, book a hotel room for a couple of nights in Eastbourne to do the Magnificent Motors show and then we can all head over to Lydden for the BHP show! Three days of car shows! Two of which are free...bargain! https://www.visiteastbourne.com/magnificent-motors
  4. One mans trash is another's gold... I would put it on Ebay and here on the forum.
  5. Can I have this post reported for pornography please? No one needs to see that at 08:10 in the morning.....
  6. How did you get that picture of us at the NEC last November?!
  7. I13 As it's a tradition now..... Who will be the first to mention Battleships and the sinking of?! ?
  8. I should add that the fat lamb is now off the list. I couldn't make it work date-wise, distance-wise and financially. We are staying that night in Great Langdale so that we can do Wrynose and Hardknott pass the next day. I've been through the route with google street view and its all tarmac (I made sure I planned it that way), The only bits that are slightly "dicey" are part of the Scottish 500 route where it is single track road with passing places. It's all tarmac though. I've checked the petrol station situation (I made sure I planned it for this): The longest section without fuel is along the top of scotland on the first day: Thurso - Ullapool. 138 miles between petrol stations. I would worry if people can't manage that on a full tank....?
  9. We are going close to Troon, the route is down the M77 from Glasgow, then the A76 to Dumfries, then into the Lake District
  10. Of course! More than welcome, Im hoping to buy a few go pros to put on each car, so yours could be a camera car? ? Or even this:
  11. Club stand has been booked. Our club should appear in the drop down list shortly so when buying your tickets make sure you select our club if you want to be on the stand.
  12. So far we have 2 cars (4 people) confirmed for whole trip and 6 cars confirmed for the last day (overnight at Lands End)! I hope more of you can meet us en route for a morning/afternoon/day!
  13. *ahem* roadtrip *ahem*.....?
  14. I have tweed in my 1989 and its growing on me. Ive always had the leather and Vulgalor options in my previous cars. It is growing on me now....
  15. Quite a bit, a new manual box can be bought from the states for $2100 (https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-infiniti-nissan-oem-98-spec-manual-transmission-assembly-nissan-300zx-twin-turbo-tt-z32-32010-54p21-kt_p_813.php) + Shipping + VAT + import tax. Then you will need all the extra bits such as clutch, flywheel, booters, pedal, ecu, etc. The labour is expensive as its an engine out job and its not the easiest job to pull the engine. On top of that there is a certain amount of electrical work as well. My first ever 300zx was a converted auto and when I started it or floored it, the power light on the dash came on. The power light is an auto thing, so whoever did the conversion didn't do the whole conversion. Guides can be found all over the internet. I would have a good read through many to get an idea what it entails. As for other boxes (I looked into this) the 350Z does fit, but its much weaker than a z32 box and are known to fail. Also the gear ratio (it has 6 gears) and the fact it was designed for an NA engine means that you may not get the full power/experience from your z32. https://forums.nicoclub.com/350z-6spd-trans-in-a-tt-z32-t475070.html https://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-drivetrain/39874-transmission-weak-point.html All in all it depends on your budget. I personally, for my car wouldn't turn down a reasonably priced low-ish mileage series 1 box or buy a new series 2 box. I wouldn't go for a weaker box from a different car. Remember Nissan over-engineered the Z32 in most respects, thats why people can get 600+ BHP from stock internals and in one case over 1000BHP (Check out Netflix series "Fastest Car" Season 2, episode 6 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fastest_Car#Season_2_(2019) If memory serves, the owner only put massive turbos in it to get over 1000+, but the internals were all the same.) So changing out parts for lesser quality/lesser designed parts may not be a cost effective solution. Think "Buy best once, Buy cheap many times."
  16. As far as I know they are. Mine has only done 47K miles so not expecting anything to go wrong *crosses fingers*. The manual boxes had a series 1 and series 2. The series 1 was known, at high mileage, to crunch changing from 1st to 2nd. One of my old cars did that, I double de-clutch when driving a manual anyway so it didn't bother me and didn't crunch. It was due to, I believe, weak synchros. The series 2 box (which can still be bought brand new) had this problem fixed. My car that did it was on 283K (mixture of KM and Miles) so was quite long in the tooth anyway. I have found my auto car puts down the power way better. Where my manual cars might wheelspin, the auto just grips and goes and with a 0-60 of 5.4sec, it does bring a grin to your face! If all you do is drive normally with the occasional spirited drive, then auto would be fine. If you prefer spirited driving with occasional motorway/long distance then go for a manual. One other thing I found with the auto box, it seems to pump fluid the wrong way around the box to slow you down when using cruise control. Ive been on many a 50mph average speed camera section and when going downhill, it slows the car and keeps it at the set cruise speed, no need to brake downhill! My manual cars didnt do that, they would keep you at speed on the flat and up hill, but downhill you would need to brake. Can someone confirm this for me/you?
  17. Having owned both, I prefer the manual. I have an auto now. Dont get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with the auto and on commutes to work or motor driving it is good to turn on the cruise control and enjoy the ride, however when you go for a play on a twisty road, it is not the same. The hold switch on the auto can help, but manual is better I feel
  18. Its your car, keep it how you want! I think it looks good, but My OCD would kick in and I would be polishing non-stop ?
  19. I think I have one of those rear engine trays in the garage. Im off work on Wednesday, Ill have a look at the condition for you if you would like?
  20. Happy New Year!
  21. Are you looking for an after-market strut that goes between the two rear turrets? If so I dont have one i'm afraid.
