  1. Ok cool. I would be interested in doing it this year
  2. We were lucky with our house in 2017, £220k for a semi bungalow on the edge of the Downs in Eastbourne. It has a 1960's garage and a lovely long driveway for 3 cars. However its so steep none of my cars will drive on. Always test your driveway before buying houses people! I know prices have gone up and most places around EB are probably £300k upwards, especially since the epidemic...
  3. I believe its the westham one, I see that quite regulary around the EB area
  4. Have we got a plan in place for this? I've had a message from a member who pointed out they are now advertising stands/cars/clubs that are attending. If we have not joined, I can register interest now? https://www.necclassicmotorshow.com/
  5. Jealous! D'arn Su'ff we are lucky if we get a 1960's sized garage with a house under £200k. might have to relocate to scotland and drive buses! With your car getting a new heart, does this mean you can take part in my Birthday road trip? ?
  6. I would kill for a garage like yours... space for the zed and a massive model railway...?
  7. I love the way this is untidy to you.... Mine looks like a bomb went off in a Zed in my garage! ?
  8. Simply Japanese was a good day out this year. Set off at 05:30 in the rain, which stopped by Shoreham. Met a friend in a Mazda MX-5 mk3 and had a bit of a play down to the tesco at Applemore on the edge of the new forest. Had browse around the mini-meet that happens every year. We then headed over to beaulieu and drove straight in with no queuing! We were parked together right in the corner of the tarmac centre arena next to the entrance to the main museum building. Really good spot as everyone saw our cars first as they walked in, but the metal barrier put people off squeezing past the cars into the arena! There was a sudden downpour while we were in the restaurant getting a coffee and bacon roll, but it stopped by the time we finished eating. Had a good look around for a few hours as people were still driving in at 11:30am. The sun even came out in the afternoon. I stayed to watch the people's choice award ( a Blue Nissan S15 won it) and then headed home along a very flooded Chichester by-pass! I was impressed with how many people made an effort this year, the main area was jam packed and the back fields were over half full. Here are a few select photos of the day!
  9. Was it modified or stock? There is a red one with rear spoiler and diffuser that lives in westham/pevensey I see quite a bit.
  10. damn.... maybe next year...
  11. The lateral flow tests (the ones you do at home) are about 60-70% accurate. Im doing one everyday at the moment due to work. They are designed to give indication of a positive test, while the PCR is to confirm a lateral flow and/or symptoms.
  12. I have taken a holiday day for this, so can join you on the club stand! EDIT: Ticket just bought and signed up to the club stand. Better get polishing!
  13. I though so, hopefully next year we can have a stand and go back to normal!

  18. I've never had a problem on any of my cars unless I leave the hardwired dashcams on for more than 3/4 days, then the battery is flat! My current car can be left for weeks and will still start first time. I'm not much of an expert on electronics, but maybe go around with an ammeter to see what is drawing power?
  19. It is kinda cool to see what a transit actually looks like, my view is usually this:
  20. This is a plan to meetup en route to the Simply Japanese event. We will be starting at Polegate Cophall roundabout petrol station at 05:30 and using the A27/M27 corridor to go to the Tesco in Applemore on the edge of the New Forest. This has a large car park to meet more members of the club coming from other parts of the country, it also has a petrol station. The store won't be open as its a sunday so no need to worry about parking. In recent years other clubs have started to use this as a meeting point; the supra club, the subaru, the 350Z club to name but a few. It ends up being a small mini car meet before we drive over to Beaulieu in convoy. The drive is two hours from Polegate to Applemore, so should get there around 7.30 to allow 30-45 minutes before driving over to Beaulieu and joining the queue when they allow access at 08:30. If you want to meet up along the route (A27/M27) let me know, I can create a whatsapp group and share my location while I'm driving so you can track our progress and catch up to us. I do not touch my phone while driving, so once we have left, I will be uncontactable until we reach Applemore. A few rules: Tesco have never stopped us from using their car park or complained, as it is a great meeting point with petrol on tap we don't want to lose it, so please, no donuts, burnouts, etc. The New Forest has wild animals, ponies, horses, deer, rabbits, honey badgers... please follow all speed limits and refrain from being silly Inside Beaulieu, once parked up, please leave engines off. They have neighbours and need to keep the noise to a minimum. I have no idea if we have a club stand this year, would anyone of the committee be able to confirm? @JaiKai@RichardS@Gaz 300 @AndrewG Hopefully see you all there!
  21. Thanks Andrew, this was a big help! Spring clip was still there and functional. The lever needed a bit of adjustment and it works now, but the thick mats don't allow the lever to go all the way down, so I have to move the mat out the way to push the lever all the way down
