  1. Nothing wrong with taking photos of the car! Yesterday, mine got run up to the paint guy I use to have a few more touch up bits done including wiper arms, scuttle, etc. I've really missed driving it, haven't driven it since November really, jumped in it and straight away had a massive, stupid grin on my face!
  2. I read this article a while ago. They are cheap to maintain. Its just when things go wrong it starts to add up!
  3. I've already bank transferred the £850 for the HID headlights... Delivery expected on Tuesday.... So excited!
  4. Two in Japan at the moment: White, TT, Auto: https://auctions.jdmauctionwatch.com/aj-2vsa960nX8IjHqw.htm Red/Orange, NA, Auto https://auctions.jdmauctionwatch.com/aj-25odGfWU9rN4QF3.htm
  5. Brake and fuel pipes can be bent to shape from normal copper or steel pipe. Get the same diameter and a bending tool. My mechanic has done it a few times for my previous cars. Copper can be bent by hand (although not accurately and may pinch the tube), steel is a bit harder and needs a tool. Pipe is cheap on ebay. The pain in the arse is getting up and around the top of the fuel tank. Removing said tank does make it easier as we found out!
  6. On my last Zed I bought some TEIN VSN22-C1SS3 FLEX Z COILOVERS from driftworks. They were really good. Driftworks even set them up for me. It was lowered about the same that you are asking for, but kept all the suspension and drop links stock. Made such a difference to the ride and handling too.
  7. Didn't they ban that advert?
  8. Yes I have this stored in the garage. When would you like to collect? Thanks
  9. It does sound like that is the root of your problems. No fuel in chamber would cause ignition error and knocking and then the bank would run lean. Connectors have a habit of going brittle and cracking. Might be worth replacing the pigtails for injectors and plugs. I had no idea about OBDII on 'murica zeds, you learn something everyday. Thank you!
  10. If you can buy one of these: I got mine from eBay years ago with a usb cable. It was a bout £14. I was warned about the cheap ones, but so far it hasn't let me down.... Then you can download either: Nissan Datascan I (http://www.nissandatascan.com/) Conzult (https://conzult.com/) These have free versions that are limited or pay for the full version. Both have their pros and cons, but both allow for free reading/clearing of codes. You then hook the reader up the usb, then on to your laptop. Open up your software of choice and read the codes! Failing that, you can read the codes like this (but is more of a faff and is easier with a friend in the passenger footwell): https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php/ECU_Diagnostics
  11. It's just like watching real life Gran Turismo. I remember playing on Tsukuba a lot when grinding for cash in a Mazda Demio with an air filter for more power! There is another video with a MKIV Supra and a Veilside Supra in it:
  12. My eyes hurt.... its all on the wrong side.... at least it's not all upside like the Aus model.... ? I would work back through what you disconnected checking connections and looms. Reconnect everything, check for broken plugs and green electrical gunk. Have you run the engine codes yet?
  13. https://youtu.be/07f3z-nVaX4
  14. Stock on mine. Looks the bees knees, but cant have a bigger brake upgrade with stock wheels
  15. Id spend the £1800 on the Zed instead......(hey, that rhymes!)
  16. It is quiet when inside the car, but if I have the window down I can hear the classic burble. It is a non-turbo, but does pull well. I think with an air filter and a nice stainless system on it, it will sound better.....no......dont spend money on it!!!!!
  17. Welcome to the club and I'm glad you are trying to save hedgehogs!
  18. I think it popped up on ebay many many years ago, about the time when I bought my first zed (2014-ish). Something seems familiar about the back end of the car with those lights and squared off spoiler.
  19. So after using the wifes Audi TT throughout the pandemic to go to work, I've decided to buy myself a run around as she is going back to working in the office and I fancied my own little run around: It's a Subaru Legacy 2.5L Boxer engine with AWD and a hi-low gear centre diff. It's done 171K, serviced every year by Subaru up to 4 years ago, then by a private garage. I'm the 3rd owner. The bodywork and boot interior is a bit tatty as its was tip run car/dog car, but I gave it a really good clean and polish and some of the damage has disappeared. It came with the roof bars and tow bar, so that's helpful and saved about £300. I'll probably never need them, but good to know I have them. I wanted something a little beaten up and old, so that I don't want to spend money on it (I want all my money to spend on my zed) but at the same time I wanted something a little different, a little cool and fun. How much you ask? £850... It's worth that for the pillarless doors...
  20. A watch that cost 3.5 of my mortgage payments ????
  21. Mine was engine half out, I'm trying to remember why and as it was several years ago and I have slept since then(!) I suspect it might have been something to do with rear seals or other maintenance work done while the back of the engine was accessible. I remember two of my cars just had a straight engine and gearbox swap. We took the engine and gearbox out as a whole lump swapped them back into the other cars and re plumbed in. The two cars I did conversions to, didn't have the ECU problem, but my first ever one did. Thanks for clearing that up because it was annoying!
