What did you do to your zed today?
How right you are Gary. Already this week i have had the pleasure of doing MOT on a Lotus Cortina which was in pristine condition, an AC COBRA rep with a 427 ford under the hood, a BMW 2002 Which was just perfect. And a lovely Celica GT4. [emoji41]

What did you do to your zed today?
The most valuable tool when working on a Z is patience. Do jobs when your free time allows and not when you have just an hour to do it. Spare time is a precious thing nowadays but i find if you dedicate a whole day to the car you will enjoy working on it.

What did you do to your zed today?
I found mid bass quite good with my sub switched off. I have JL Audio C3525 components up front and C3650 in the rear and a 10" JL Audio sub in a custom box in the boot. I have 2x4 channel JL Audio amps one running the components and one bridged for the sub. Its a great overall sound, nice clear highs and good mid bass and some nice lows when needed.

Yeah think those are the larger ones. You can fit a 6.5" driver in the rear and make a circular ring to mount 5.25" in the front.

The early (i think) enclosures take larger drivers. I have 5.25 upfront and 6.5 in the rear.

Do you have any of the Bose enclosures Joel? I found they made a huge difference in the mid range when fitted.

RC cars
Any members into RC cars here? Im thinking of buying a Baja 1/5th scale petrol buggy and wondered if anyone had any experience of them. Ive had 1/8th scale in the past but fancy something with a bit more grunt.

None start issue
If you can smell fuel see if you can trace the location of where its coming from first before going too deep. Have a good look at the fuel rail areas and the pipework to and from the filter and across to the pressure regulator and damper. And under the car if its not leaking in the engine bay.

When you say you can hear the starter kicking in do you mean the engine does turn over but doesnt fire up or the engine doesnt turn over?

I didnt turbo the v6, just fitted a gearbox from a 4x4 turbo. It had plenty of go without a blower [emoji6]

I had a v6 calibra years ago. I dropped a 6 speed 4x4 turbo gearbox in it and run it 2wd only. It went off the clock at 160mph. [emoji16]

Cylinder down
Dielectric grease is an electrical insulator and as such if it’s applied directly to the conductive pins in a connector which may have low contact pressure due to the their age/deterioration such as in the injector connectors the grease may have a negative effect. You need to ensure the injector male pins are perfectly clean and that female pins in the harness have good contact pressure to create a low resistance contact. Cleaning may well solve the problem but ideally you will want to replace your harness plugs with new ones and apply some silicone grease as you plug them in.

Cylinder down
Be careful when using this on your connectors guys, for anyone that has never used it before, you dont want it in contact with the actual pins and sockets. Only on the plastic outer portion of the connector.

Richie's "Redzer" rebuild
Personally i would just swap the calipers left to right keeping the bleed valves at the top, i doubt the fact that the small piston wouldnt be leading makes any dufference considering the MC is probably totally wrong for these calipers. I would imagine the merc these calipers are from had SBC.
