  1. it depends on what you need something to do really, I find winMTR really useful but you won't I couldnt live without ssh either or a number of programmes on linux....
  2. ive spent 2.5grand on her in the past 18months, that includes 1k on brakes. the rest is tyres, exhaust and servicing, previous owner spent 6k on an engine rebuild and a lot of money at nissan servicing her! including steal brake lines ect. there is probably at least 2-3 grand not listed anywhere...
  3. :) none of the bills include anything for the transmission except for oil, I guess at 112,000 miles an auto would have had at least 2 rebuilds and have been converted to manual haha
  4. I went through my reciept folder for the zed (not incuding purchase price): £2471.24 – mine with exhaust £8012 – others Total is £10,483.84 That excludes a lot of services and MOTs I don’t have receipts for from previous owners, There is a bill for 6k for a short engine rebuild and new turbos in 1997. and the car is still stock. its a 92 revision 1.
  5. do option have a black zed with no rear spoiler and 99spec rear lights?
  6. If he does pursue it it appears that the traders have already admitted liability, he could probably get a couple of grand out it.... he'd really have to contact a solicitor first and find out what they advise.

  11. Impressive, I cant wait to go out in it ;) your car was nice and responsive @ 10psi, although most of the time it was hitting that round roundabouts whist we all clung onto our mcdonalds :) I think that is defiently one of the best looking boost controllers out there :)

  21. +7 to -7 indicates his has an import I believe, only the UK models had +-14psi the gauge should read negative when there is no boost, does it flap around and not go above zero?
  22. I heard macca had his eyes on one of the engines to replace his. Shame though, Ive always wanted to go on her, never had the chance and now it looks like i never will :(

  24. We have got the server back from Senna, I am going to go and check it out and reinstall it with the correct OS. There maybe outages over the next week whilst things are moved over, I will update this thread with information of planned outages ahead of time. Thankyou for your understanding, we need to get the server back home and off of the current archaic hardware. 7th November *********** For those who are interested if you are reading this welcome back to the UK, The 300zx.co.uk site has been residing on borrowed hardware for the past 7 months in the United States. This is due to a hardware failure of the memory on our dedicated hardware in the UK. The server was then held for 7 months being repaired by the original donator of the memory and motherboard (all other parts provided by donations of cash from the subscribed members) . After a bit of persuasion we managed to arrange a collection time for the server. Currently I have moved the server onto hardware in the UK, I am waiting until I have enough time to go and check the server over and reinstall it. This usually would be done by now but the server was not packaged correctly by the repairer and I need to give it a full going over which takes time. The next stage of the move will be to get 300zx.co.uk onto her final resting place of the original dedicated hardware, hopefully within 7-10 days, when this takes place there will be a downtime of around 1 hours whilst the database is copied over. 26th November ************ Well as suspected the hardware was screwed in transit, the operating system couldnt detect any PCI slots on the motherboard, we are going to upgrade the server however to a p4 2.6ghz, an extra 1/2gig of ram and a new HDD for backups of the forum. To sum up the packaging of the server I can only describe it thusly - stick an egg in a coke can and ship it across country... disgusting. 15th January *********** In the evening the forum will be down for planned maintenance, this should start from 10pm.
  25. nice but a bit big ;) could cut out a few feet from the bottom that has no blang blang ;)
