these are sports cars and designed to be pushed, I don't tear the arse off my car whenever im driving it but it has been red lined through all gears upto 155mph i just don't make a habit of it. you gotta make sure all the highspeed parts get nicely bedded in ;)

Craigs car did 150k on stock tubs and its still going strong, I'd buy an import but insurance is to high for me at the moment. My turbos didn't last 70,000 miles though, what to say buying a import with 60,000 miles won't blow up in 10,000 miles? On a 12 year old car you have no idea how much its been ragged, you have to pick a good solid motor and be prepared to take the rough with the smooth. If I was spending 14k on a car I wouldn't expect it to be rusty, but 6k isn't really a lot of money for a car these days, my girlfrieinds KA cost 8k.

Well my UK car has done 113,000 miles and is running sweet as a nut in 1997 at 70,000 miles it had a new short engine and tubs I've had a lot of rust removed however, but buying a mid-milages TT from japan may mean that its just coming into its problem zones....

army wise im sure ive had a few relatives banged up there.... I've been to cyprus three times, love it there, paphos twice and limmasol once, its a great place to go and relax, the locals are some of the nicest people in the world although there were the occasional break out of fights amognst teenagers down by the harbour in paphos one year i went. Its one of those places that has something for everyone i guess, its nice going up into the mountain to find a small restaurant, one of the owners took our family out to see a dam one night, didn't charge or anything. red number plates are an excellent idea, they show the locals where the idiots are :) around paphos you get a wider birth, if you are on a bike/scooter they generally get right of way with the locals... Last time i went within an hour of landing we were over taken by an EVO 6, I also saw a zed in bar street in paphos. I'll hopefully be going back again next year, I'm also considering moving out there for a year.

Well personnaly i'd get it repaired and then a full checkover of the car. If you are happy then keep it. Who's to say you won't end up like 300zx_newbie however and have problem after problem, but we all take that risk. Personally it took me 6months to find my car, I made a few compromises but mecahnically she is sound and after 2 years all that really has gone wrong is the master brake cylinder failing. Your compromise may be to take this car back and sit it out and wait for the perfect car. Maybe my car will be up for sale in 6 months :) but its anti-black :)

This could be fun, it would be good for a track day, I'd put a ban on contact though, you'll only get a schumacher type knocking someone off, accidenal knocks absolutely but going into a race event with permission to knock is like racing down essex arena in a crapped out ford escort with its bonnet behind your right ear. Also I think as long as its road legal any modifications should be allowed as long as they don't cost money, or perhaps a limit of £200 on car and £50 on modifications. Also what do we do with broken down cars? Essex arena may cater for this type of event, I'm sure there are plenty of other circuits like them in the UK but thats the only one that i know. (its near lakeside)

you really shouldn't have taken on any of the work, should have reported itt o trading standards, the only way these companies get shut down is by following the correct legal procedure. Shaming them on the internet may stop some people using them but there is no way it will stop all people.

£200 quid fitted from http://www.windscreensdirect.co.uk Autoglass wanted nearly £600 :eek: Its been an epic to get this thing sorted, thanks paulc for trying to repair it :) unfortuently it was an internal crack, was good to see his new Jap workshop though :)

by changing the front and rear lights he's removed a lot of the character of the car, I like the rest of the car but the front and rear just look a but girlish, that wouldn't scare me if it came up behind me at 140mph :) but at end of the day, if he likes it thats all that matters, amazing ammount of work has gone into it and probably shit loads of cash to.
